United Kingdom | 08 February 2025I have been a loyal customer of Appliance Direct for a while, but my recent experience has been an absolute nightmare. I ordered an electric heater, which was advertised on their website as an infrared heater. However, upon receiving the product, I found out that it is a conventional heater, which is completely different from what was promised. I reached out to their customer service to address this misleading advertising and to return the heater. To my dismay, they were extremely unhelpful and insisted that I pay for the return delivery, even though this was clearly their mistake. This level of customer service is unacceptable and disappointing. I am highly dissatisfied with how Appliance Direct has handled this situation and their lack of accountability. I strongly advise others to be cautious and double-check their purchases to avoid the same unpleasant experience.

United Kingdom | 08 February 2025I ordered a cooker hood that they falsely advertised, I ordered an electriq angled cooker hood which is advertised as being maximum 49db sound, when in reality it is much higher and this is reflected in the manual also, the manual which appears to not be present online either. Electriq gives the impression it is an own brand of this companies and they give no options to be contacted either. Beware their electriq products might be falsely advertised in the future. To return items you have to sign up for an account only to be told to message them anyway, waste of time, If allowed by law I suggest reversing credit card charges for non delivery of the items you order as they must know it is false advertising for the amount of returns they get on this item as can be seen by the amount of refurbished product they sell. After requesting them to deliver the item I ordered Anne Delafuente from their customer services contacted to ask me to send them a video of the product on, obviously this does not prove the decibels of what they sent me, their manual shows what the decibels reading of the highest setting is, I told them the manual states it and that it is far higher than what they advertise it as. Anne then sent the request to their technical team who still weren't interested in reading the manual and asked for a video again despite a video not proving the decibels, they still are refusing a return and refund for the item at their cost! Unethical business. I was considering ordering the model up in cost after this is returned but they have not answered a separate query emailed to them on what the other electriq hood manual says the max DB is. Update: 9 emails from them and they still have not agreed to read the manual of the product they sent which proves they haven't delivered the item I ordered from them and they haven't agreed to pickup what they sent and refund the item at only their own costs, and instead they have sent me a pickup time saying there will be a charge if they can't find a fault (they can already find one if they read the manual) or charge if it is not pristine when it is a refurbished item! Additionaly they want me to cover the costs of printing a return label. This is not what I requested and I am doing them a favour by allowing them to collect the item they mistakenly sent me. They have had 6 days to read the manual but still haven't acknowledged they have read it. I only want a full refund for non delivery of what I ordered at no additional cost to me to make up for their false advertising mistakes.
