United Kingdom | 07 February 2025This company uses DPD for delivery. They require a PIN code on delivery. The PIN code has to be sent to you by DPD before you can receive your goods. The email I received from Appliance Direct said the goods would be delivered Monday. While I was out Saturday they turned up. My husband had to ring me. I had had no email, text message or anything from them so they wouldn't leave the goods. He quoted the Last 4 digits of a phone they had but it was my landline. That is why I hadn't received the message. On Monday I still hadn't had anything to say when they were coming so I rang DPD who said she driver should have told us to get back in touch with the company to get the number changed. I rang the company. It took over 10 minutes to get a person. Then he was arguing with me for a further 12 minutes. He said that was the number on my PayPal account so they had to use it and he couldn't change it. He was quite rude. Sighing loudly when I was explaining things. Cutting in while I was talking. Abrupt. He said the only thing I could do was update my Paypal details. Cancel the order and reorder. I came off checked PayPal, which did have my mobile and rang Appliance Direct back to cancel. I again explained what had happened to the person I spoke to and he said "no problem. I can change that for you and get this sorted out"!!! And he did. Within minutes I had a text message from confirming the redelivery. Well done that man. Not so well to the jobs worth I spoke to before.

I've ordered before and knew the next one I would get from Appliances Direct too as their customer service (last one had a recall replacement) was fantastic. DPD were great when delivered, on time and able to track.

United Kingdom | 07 February 2025Bought a dehumidifier from here, it’s lasted about 4-5 months before it randomly started freezing despite the room temperature being higher than sufficient. The defrost button doesn’t work so essentially it’s ineffective and doesn’t work. I have taken it apart and cleaned it ect but still no. United Kingdom | 07 February 2025I ordered a fridge freezer and paid for it to be ‘delivered to my room of choice’; what they fail to make clear at the point of adding that option online, is that they will only deliver to the ground floor, making any delivery to a flat or upper floor your responsibility. Granted, if you check their delivery information separately it does say it is ground floor only, but this should be clear at the point of sale - they have a add-on purchase for the option ‘room of choice’ so put the info there! Having said that, the fridge freezer itself was well packaged and the courier was super nice. I had to scramble a friend to come help but we got it upstairs without incident.
