I paid the extra payment for ticket protection which on advertising page said " cancellation due to illness, death, weather conditions and travel issues" . However on the day we were due to go to the theatre, my friend and I both had viruses which rendered us unwell, and certainly not fit for travel or to sit in a theatre coughing and sneezing on all around. When I came to apply for a refund it was a very different story. They want doctors/ hospital proof of illness, which we don't have as with colds, flu and viruses, a visit to the doctor is totally not necessary as little a doctor can do. This was not made clear in the advertising and I am furious that I've been duped into purchasing this "so called" protection.
