Great quality. Responsive and courteous online team. Delivery guys were brilliant. Delivery took a little longer than expected. Some employees came across as a little disinterested. Corner sofa unit arrived the wrong way around than what we had clearly agreed in the plans. It could be maneuvered into the right position but the connectors are placed incorrectly.

Excellent sofa! Sofa took a while to be delivered but there was excellent communication throughout. It is such a comfortable sofa! We love it !

Darlings were helpful with our purchase and efficient with the order. When we had a small issue with one of our sofas it was dealt with swiftly.

We were kept well informed of the progress of our corner sofa and was not disappointed when it arrived. There was a delay in obtaining material choice but we were kept up to date. Also our experience at the showroom was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you team

Great selection of sofas available, all well made and very wide choice of materials and colours on offer. Really good value and staff in store very helpful. Guys that delivered my furniture very careful and considerate. Fantastic quality and service from everyone involved at Darlings.

Overall excellent product, high quality fabrics, and modern design, bought Wandsworth Chair in Stain Resistant Moleskin Velvet, Color Paintbrush. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 due to the delay of 1 month and a half experienced; the customer service was excellent keeping me updated, delivery the same. I would recommend buying, the products are worth waiting.

Everything was fine - this order arrived at the quoted time. However I had a lot of trouble operating the sofa bed for the first time when I had used it for one night and wanted to put it back to a sofa position. Despite very nice helpful advice from really kind understanding staff I could not get it back. I was given a date for a visit by a manager to sort out the problem but despite this it was cancelled and from then on I heard nothing and this rating is the first I have heard since. Although I managed to get the bed to return to a sofa, I am now very apprehensive as to whether I will be able to do so in the future. The furniture is at the top, price wise, and I deliberately chose the higher price assuming better service !!

Advice on pre ordering, guidance and notification before delivery and an absolutely wonderful and much admired sofa being the end product. The whole process was smooth and painfree which is sadly quite rare these days. Highly recommend this company.

I bought two gorgeous modern armchairs from them on line. Always a risky method but I had also bought a great bed settee from them six months earlier, I thought that the chairs would be comfortable. We were in phone contact several times relating to updates, fabrics etc, keeping me well informed. So there were no shocks just pure delight from the whole family when they arrived!

Exceptional quality sofas. I would have given 5 stars but the delay of delivery was very disappointing. Lovely fabric selection and samples were sent quickly so it was easy to make a choice.

First of all the sofa arrived late - this happens - but we had no contact from Darlings advising that the sofa was delayed. When we contacted Darlings to find out where the sofa was, the first 2 conversations did not acknowledge there was a problem, and it was only on the 3rd conversation we were informed there was a month’s delay. Secondly when the sofa arrived one of the measurements was not as per the spec. We emailed Darlings to enquire how this could be fixed….2 weeks later at the time of writing this review we have had no response.

I placed a substantial order for 3 sofas, 2 beds and an upholstered chair on 5 February 2023. Delivery was promised in 10 to 12 weeks. The delivery address is in Cornwall. After a number of confused calls with different staff over delays and changing dates, the delivery was split into two batches. On 16 May I received the first batch: 2 beds and 2 sofas. The delivery crew were efficient and tidy. The sofas look nice. After they left, I moved the 3 seater Thatcham sofa about 1m on a flat wooden floor and the foot fell off - the two small and plainly inadequate screw ends had ripped out of the frame at the first pressure. Just a quick update: it’s actually got worse. The apologetic Customer Service Department saw the above post & got a report from the delivery guys - who they had sent round again the next day to verify the problem. It turned out that none of the front feet on each of the 2 Thatcham sofas had the central load bearing bolts fitted. The feet were just held on with wood screws - plainly not fit for purpose - but also clearly the result of a factory error. So it was rapidly agreed that Darlings would replace the feet and send me 4 new front feet with the central load bearing bolts fitted. Despite some blather, by the end of the day following the delivery, we had in place a plan that everyone agreed with to put the problem right. (Things go wrong but it looked like they were serious about putting it right and had acted quickly. I felt some relief… etc). What turned up today (24 May) was a box with 2 REAR feet with load bearing central bolts feet and 2 FRONT feet with NO load bearing central bolts fitted and 4 screwholes drilled in each of them. To me these look like factory rejects. It really is comedy. Nobody can have checked.

****UPDATE**** As a result of me leaving this review, Darlings of Chelsea put in a lot of effort to rectify the situation. They found an interim sofa bed and had it delivered to me within a few days. They also managed to bring my order forward and I'm expecting delivery of it this week. They sent me flowers with a note apologising for the situation and they have also offered to refund my deposit. All of this effort has been greatly appreciated and it shows how easy it is to make a customer happy when something goes wrong. I am however, still waiting for my refund, which was processed on the 17th May. I was told it would take 10 working days, but that time frame has elapsed. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Extremely disappointing. I ordered a sofa bed back in March, with a 6-8 week lead time. At the end of April I was advised the sofa would be delivered the week commencing the 8th May but then a week before I was told that there had been a delay, and that my sofa bed would now be delivered the week commencing the 26th June, an additional 7 weeks. When I asked for compensation for doubling the wait time, I was told "as a gesture of goodwill we'll refund your delivery fee". £75 when the item is £2300 is not compensation and quite frankly I found it insulting. When I said I wouldn't be happy to accept that as compensation I was offered an extended warranty plan, again, not compensation in my eyes. I replied to say that I was shocked that a loan sofa bed wasn't offered given that I had stated that we were going to have to change plans that we'd made due to insufficient sleeping arrangements at our home. Unsurprisingly, Darlings of Chelsea were unable to offer this as all their loan sofa beds were already taken but they would send me a blow up bed instead. Feeling backed into a corner, I accepted this offer as they were so reluctant to offer a genuine form of compensation and asked when I could expect the delivery fee refund. To which they replied "it will be issued when the goods are ready"... so not only do I have to wait longer for the sofa bed, I also have to wait for the so called compensation too! Terrible customer service, I do not feel valued as a customer in the slightest and they only care about money. Myself and my partner are extremely disappointed and wish we'd spent our money elsewhere.

The sofa is very attentive looking and feels great to sit on. It is a small sofa bed for the study and the sofa bed mechanism is very stiff, evening the delivery guys found it hard to put back, we hope it will relax over time. Since this review I have been sent a video of how to open and close the sofa bed which has been really useful and very appreciated. Thank you Chloe
