Secondly the delivery time was many weeks more than promised and they were not prepared to make any effort to try and improve. Most unhelpful. Note: Darlings have since responded to this review but fail to recognise that it was not a question of my expectations being met, rather the expectations they set when they advised me by email that delivery was to be expected by week beginning 6th March. They failed to meet this by many weeks. Please Darlings of Chelsea do not treat your customers as fools!

United Kingdom | 24 April 2023Ordered sofa and footstool at beginning of February with an ETA of 6-8 weeks. 11 weeks lapsed now, and apparently will take 16 weeks altogether. Updates only when you chase them. And I contemplating cancelling given other reviews here. Maybe I will never see the delivery and might be better to get my deposit back before the whole place goes under. Worst customer service ever!

United Kingdom | 21 April 2023Awful. We ordered a sofa and waited 12 weeks (expected time 6-8!) still no delivery date and different excuses on every telephone call. We were not updated and all contacts were made by us, trying to chase what on earth was going on. Yesterday we cancelled the order, we really wanted the sofa but just couldn’t wait for any longer and with the experience we had been faced with, we grew huge concerns around the aftercare if needed. Chloe eventually appeared to take on the case, but failed once again to return calls. No apology was given, even when we asked for one. We are awaiting our money back, £2000, which has been sitting in their account for 3 months. Transparency is essential as a customer and I feel let down that nobody had the decency to do this. The whole team are good on the phone and appear to take responsibility but not once has anyone chased and come back with an answer. My complaint letter has not been answered. I would consider carefully before buying.

United Kingdom | 20 April 2023Having seen a couple of sofas we liked online, we travelled a fair distance to visit the very quiet Ash Vale shop yesterday. The staff when they fleetingly appeared on the sales floor were just not interested in interacting let alone selling us anything. We actually found a sofa we liked and may well have ordered but with no one about and feeling very disillusioned we left. A total waste of petrol money and our time.

I ordered a sofa on 23 January 2023 and still haven't got it. Ive been informed by email today it should be in store 8 May 2023 ready to be delivered in the following 2 weeks! its a joke!

This was important as we had been badly let down by another furniture company. We wanted a bespoke sofa in a fabric not usually stocked by Darlings of Chelsea, and he was able to easily organise this for us. Our sofa arrived in good time and we absolutely love it. The bonus was that it wasn’t due to be supplied with any cushions but somehow we were given two (in the matching fabric as well). Thank you.

United Kingdom | 13 April 2023The sofa bed we ordered looks good but we chose to pay extra for the more luxurious feather & foam cushions. The seat back cushions are absurdly full, fake and bouncy - making you sit bolt upright. We got in touch with Emily the salesperson who then confirmed on email that we had ordered the feather and foam cushions. She advised us to open the covers to check and feel for the feathers. I reported that I could only feel foam. I then received a fait accompli email stating only the seat base cushions come in feather & foam, not the seat backs. Since then weeks have drifted past and we haven't had another word from Darlings of Chelsea despite chasing - no resolution, no refund and not what we had expected. Mistakes happen but this has been disappointing and very poor after sales service.

Jasmine supported my purchase and when we realised it wouldn’t fit Jasmine proposed a financially viable alternative which meant rebuilding the sofa bed in the room. We are delighted. We went to them because we wanted a top quality guest bed so more of a bed that acts as a sofa and we have that. My guests are so comfortable - thank you!
