Absolutely happy and satisfied about the service we received today! My son is 6 year old, non verbal and has asd. Amazing how Craig found the way to his heart 🥰 I am 💯 sure that I found a barber to my son now! 😊👍

I absolutely could not recommend Craig's Barber Shop more. After struggling for years to find somewhere and someone suitable to cut my autistic son's hair, we have finally found the place. A day that usually ends in melt downs and tears was actually left with my son asking to stay at the shop and waving happily as we left, something we never thought we would see. Craig is fantastic, empathetic and in the words of my son "gentle and slow" - Thank you Craig!

My 4yr old, non verbal, autistic son went to see Craig on Thursday. My son is very fussy about people touching his hair. His hair was almost to his bottom. Craig was fantastic with my son and waited until he was comfortable and playing until he started. My son is very energetic so was moving about for most of his hair cut. Both Craig and my son done so well. We now have almost sort back and sides after just the 1st visit. Already booked in for our next appointment. You have the patience of a Saint, Craig. A very calming and relaxed place. 10/10 highly recommended.

We took our autistic son along this morning for his first trip to the barbers and had the perfect experience with Craig. He very much took our son's lead whilst he played with some magnets he loved and worked with him as he moved around. He's got an excellent selection of toys so there's definitely something for all kids to engage with. It's obvious how much care Craig has for making sure everyone regardless of their needs can have a hair cut. We re so grateful to have found somewhere where our son is so comfortable and will be returning regularly now.

We visited today with our son, who is 4 & has ASD. His hair had got so unruly recently because he does not like to even step foot in a hairdressers usually. We are unsure if it is the sounds, smells or the fact that they are usually busy & the barbers are usually in a rush. We booked in for a long slot with Craig to be on the safe side but were so pleasantly surprised that it was done so quickly. I think the difference between Craig’s Barbershop and regular barbers is that it’s much more relaxed, the children are able to do whatever is comfortable for them and Craig will follow their lead. We will be booking in for his next haircut very soon!

I took my 6 year old non verbal autistic son to Craig for the first time today, and I was amazed at his calm nature with my son, how patient he is and how he works around whatever needs, sensory issues, triggers etc that children have. I went expecting the usual fight that my son has had previously trying other barbers, but instead we had a mostly very successful appointment with a cute looking little boy with a lovely hair cut. The calmness of Craig definitely put my son (and myself) at ease. Looking forward to my son gradually getting better & better in his appointments thanks to Craig. 11/10, thank you so much.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My little boy has sensory issues and doesn't let people near his hair but Craig was so calm and patient with him it was the best hair experience he's ever had. Everything was at my son's pace. We'll definitely be coming back! Thanks again!

Had our first visit today. It went well. Craig gave my Son time and space and started to build a relationship with him. My son is already talking about coming back. So great steps made towards getting a haircut and being happy about it.

I was really nervous on how my daughter would react as she really doesn't like her hair being touched.. Well it was the calmest experience and I won't be going anywhere else now.. thanks so much again!!

We’ve been going to Craig for a couple of weeks now and we wish we would have found him sooner. The care and compassion demonstrated by Craig is unremarkable. 100% recommend.

Well what can I say? What a breath of fresh air this man is and I’m so happy we found him :) My son has been petrified of haircuts since the very beginning. No idea why but the meltdowns were so severe I used to leave in tears and he was traumatised! Myself and his dad have been doing our best for the past couple of years, but it’s pretty evident that Paramedics can’t cut hair :) My son sat playing with the toys at Craig’s barbers yesterday, while Craig worked around him and kept him at ease and distracted the whole time. His friendly, and no rush approach is fantastic and the whole experience was just lovely. Not a single tear was shed and we now have a little boy went to his childminder this morning so proud to show off his big boy haircut. You are worth your weight in gold and us Boltoners are so lucky to have you on our doorsteps 😀

We travelled a little over 40 minutes to Craig’s shop and it didn’t disappoint. What a 5 star service he offered. We’ll definitely be returning not only a lovely haircut for my son but such a calm and stress free environment. We’ve tried many hairdressers and barbers and all have gone quite badly. Thankfully we’ve Craig’s barbers and the wonderful services of offers ⭐️

Took my 2 year old to Craig’s yesterday after reading an article about him online. My boy was so scared of having his haircut from previous experiences with another barber however our visit to Craig’s couldn’t have been any more different. Brilliant communication from our first message about the appointment options and all through our visit. When we arrived he was given time to explore before Craig approached and engaged with him and asked him if he could comb his hair. He allowed him to play and followed his lead, all while cutting his hair and talking to him throughout. By the end my son didn’t want to leave and the biggest battle was getting him out of the shop. Amazing experience, haircut and no tears. Already booked our next appointment.

I brought my son to Craig’s Barber Shop this morning, it was our first visit and from the minute we walked through the door Craig made us both feel so welcome. He allowed my son to explore the shop and the toys around before approaching him to start his hair, he was so calm, patient and friendly and followed my son round at his pace; taking breaks at times when needed too, I would highly recommend Craig for anybody to have their hair done, whether they are neurodiverse or not! An amazing barber!!

Amazing barber So patient! Acknowledges your child's fears and works on them. Makes you and your child feel at ease. Every barber we have been too has been a nightmare, physically and emotionally challenging and draining first appointment with Craig what so different. I will never use another barber

I took my 18 month old son to Craig's barber shop today after 2 very traumatic haircuts in other hairdressers. I couldn't believe how calm my son was throughout the whole haircut. He just played with the toys there, walking around the whole shop whilst his hair was cut with no tears or tantrums! He looks so smart now, and will 100% be returning for all future haircuts! Thankyou for being so kind and patient with my son!

I hadn’t had a haircut in over 6 years due to my neurodivergence and anxiety but I was surprised when it was over. Craig made the experience comfortable and easy to deal with, and I love my new hair cut

Absolutely amazing. My son hasn't had his hair cut professionally for over a year due to his last barbers being too rough and impatient with him and today was a completely different experience! Very kind, soft spoken and allowed my son to move around freely and play whilst following him around. 10/10, will definitely be back!

Patient, kind and genuinely understood and respected my 9 year old child with special needs. Will be returning.
