Is your attitude consistent with customer care? No. Do you care about an issue that is so obviously and blantantly wrong? No. What would cost you to put this right and thus improve your reputation? Peanuts. I ordered a pair of 9.5 (44) Stihl chainsaw safety boots in August 2022 and was sent a left size 42 and a right size 44. Unfortunately due to a protracted period of serious health issues and hospitalisation, I was unable to carryout chainsaw work. A year later when I could resume woodland work, I discovered that the left boot was difficult to put on and take off. I then found it was two sizes too small. Following a series of emails to ToolsToday.co.uk starting in August 23 I have not been offered a replacement pair size 44. I also sent two formal letters in September and October requesting either a refund or a replacement. Both in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for goods proven unfit for purpose at the point of receipt for up to six years afterwards. Neither of these letters have been replied to or acknowledged. It is clear to me that ToolsToday were unaware that the box labelled size 44 they sent was unsatisfactory but as the seller they must take the responsibility to rectify the matter with their customer and then take action against their supplier, in this case Stihl. I'm afraid they don't seem to operate to this standard of customer care. I am now left with unsatisfactory safety equipment for the short amount of time I am likely to have left at 82 for this heavy work.

Had the item been labelled as being out of stock initially I would have continued searching for an alternative product or supplier but having parted with the money I decided to leave the order in place. I do find it a little odd to be asked to review something that I have not received,

United Kingdom | 29 November 2023Ordered an Item that stated on the website "Usually Delivered In 3-5 Days" on the 2nd of October. After placing the order and waiting 7 days I emailed on October 9th to ask where the order was and why it hasn't yet been dispatched. I got a reply a day later, apologizing for the delay and stating the item is out of stock and will be available towards the end of the month. Fair enough, I said I'll wait. I did notice though that the item online still stated, "Usually Delivered In 3-5 Days". At this point it should probably be changed to Out of stock. I waited till the end of the month 30th October and emailed again asking if there was an update. The reply now was to wait till the middle of the month (that being November). Middle of the month came, Nov 16th and I emailed asking for an update. No response for two days, I emailed again Nov 18th asking for an update and got a response stating they will chase Teng (the supplier) and get back to me. They did indeed update me on Nov 20th stating "This item has now come into stock at Teng, we expect to deliver to you later this week. We will send you tracking details as soon as the item despatches from us." I waited over a week and no dispatch email or email update. I chased again Nov 29th requesting an update. ToolsToday responded minutes later stating "I have chased Teng for you and they have apologised for the delay, we should dispatch this in the next 1-2 days." I am yet to receive the item I ordered on 2nd October. I have been unimpressed with the levels of communication. I don't expect to have to chase my order for near on 2 months. If there is a delay, inform me and give me updates on the delay. Some email correspondence sign of with a name, some have no name so you have no idea who you are speaking with over email. Throughout all of this the item in question has had "Usually Delivered In 3-5 Days" and at some point changed to "Usually Delivered Within 7 Days". I would expect it to state "out of stock" or give a more accurate description of how long the waiting time is. It seems toolsToday has fallen short of what looks like a good record of 5 star service. I wouldn't entirely judge them on this one order and would order again to see if i get a different experience, i would however question the "...usually delivered...." before purchasing to find out the real wait time.
