Received a bad customer experience with this company. We ordered a table and bench from Country Life in mid-October, and were given a lead time of 8-10 weeks from ordering. As the due date was the end of December, I expected a delay, but didn't receive any communication from Ryan during this period and had to reach out several times for updates. The items eventually arrived at the end of January, nearly 15 weeks after placing the order. The delivery guys didn’t assemble the table and when asked, tried to barter with me on a price for assembling. I refused, feeling that they were trying to take advantage of me (a woman) being at home on my own. I didn’t feel comfortable with them being in my house. Considering we paid over £1700 for the items, I feel it's cheap not to include assembly. There was no communication through the ordering process about the need to assemble the product ourselves. The table is extremely heavy to flip over once the legs are attached and requires at least two fit people to assemble. I've communicated my disappointment to Ryan in a couple of emails but haven't received a response, reflecting a clear lack of customer service. This entire process has cost me much administrative time that I've not experienced in sourcing furniture from an independent company, or otherwise, before. Although the craftsmanship is decent, there are marks and filler used in the table surface which isn't up to the standard we expected given the high price.

The table exceeded our expectations and it looks great. The service was top class and even a small problem with access to the house proved to be not an issue. We would strongly recommend this company. The wait for the furniture is worth it

We placed an order with Ryan and his team to make a dining table that seats10 with extensions for our kitchen extension with particular set of measurements and design, it was delivered last week to us and wow our table is absolutely quality the time and workmanship that has gone into making our new table and the solid materials used,the delivery was excellent the table had been very well protected for transit its a great addition to our dining area, I strongly recommend Ryan at country life furniture. I am extremely disappointed with both the service and quality of the dining table I purchased from country life furniture.Not only was the delivery delayed by several weeks without any communication, but when the table finally arrived, it was damaged and the wrong colour. After returning it, I received a new table that had color peeling off with just a simple wipe. The company’s “solution” to send me varnish to fix the issue myself is completely unacceptable. I paid for a high-quality product, and this experience has been nothing but frustration from beginning to end. I would strongly advise against purchasing from this company due to their poor product quality, lack of communication, and failure to address customer concerns properly. Excuse me for using word peel . The colour is coming off and that slight smudge is now all over on I wish I could post pictures to save others

Called today to discuss how i was not 100% happy with the colour and finish of our table and chairs. The gentleman on the phone was not interested in the slightest. In fact he was dam right rude. When i tried to explain my issue. He just said “there is nothing wrong with them, i haven’t got time for this as I’m busy” and slammed the phone on me. I have spent over £3000 for the set and had to wait 6 weeks longer that it advertised when ordering.i am shocked with the level of customer services. Obviously they are sort of company who are happy to take you money then don’t care about the customer.😡😡😡😡

We absolutely love the Florence Farmhouse table and 8 cafe style chairs that we ordered. It’s beautifully crafted and rustic in design. The chairs are very comfortable too. Country Life Furniture have been exceptionally helpful throughout, making themselves available when we visited the workshop, answering email queries during the ordering process and were bang on with the time frames they gave us in terms of delivery. We couldn’t be happier!

The table and chairs we ordered were absolutely stunning and beautifully crafted. I had to slightly change my order and it was no trouble at all. A credit went into my account very quickly and the communication between myself and the company was prompt and always helpful. Delivery was on time and the courier was most helpful too. I can't praise this company highly enough!

I wanted a dining table that was a bit different, I had a very specific idea in mind. Went to Country Life Furniture and described what it is I wanted - a round farmhouse style table with each chair a different colour. Ryan was super helpful and so I put my order in. I was not disappointed, emails were quickly responded to, the table was delivered well within the indicated timescales and it was exactly what I wanted! It's a quality piece of furniture and I like that it includes elements of reclaimed wood to make it a little better for the environment. The chair colours are lovely and clearly painted with care. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful craftsmanship! I ordered the Florence table in 5' back in June without looking at trustpilot first and then after about 7 weeks of waiting I looked the company up and got SO worried! I even reached out to them and they responded instantly- as they had from the get go, they reassured me that even though you can't return the table (unless it arrives damaged) that I would be very pleased with it, so I just trusted. After 11 weeks of waiting, I got nervous again as it was taking much longer than the 8 week lead time but again they responded to me straight away and reassured me that my table would be shipping in the next few days (which it did). The table has arrived and let me just say it is worth every penny. It's gorgeous (I haven't seen anything else like it online) and it is so sturdy/heavy. Well done! I hope they get more good reviews to balance out the bad ones, perhaps the company was going through a bad spout but I can say that we are 100% happy with our Florence table!

We LOVE our table, absolute brilliant craftsmanship, can't fault it at all. The extension is such a simple concept ... its brilliant! The bench and chairs are lovely too. We placed our order by phone because what we wanted done with the table we chose wasn't an option on-line, our requests were met with no problem at all. We are very pleased with our extending farmhouse table from Country Life Furniture. We were looking for a table that would be small enough in its standard form to fit into the dining area in our kitchen, but extend to long enough for large family gatherings and parties. We looked extensively through the internet and local suppliers to find something that was suitable, and not extremely expensive. When we came across Country Life Furniture, we read a few reviews on TrustPilot that were not amazing, but found better reviews on Google Reviews and decided to take a punt. We liked that we could personalise the table to our exact requirements, including the style of leg, width and length of table and match the colour to our recently installed kitchen units. On top of that, we could also decide to add drawers and white wash the top. We also decided to pay extra for a faster delivery. We have been so pleased with the product which has been delivered quicker than the stated time. As stated, it came as the table top and 4 four legs, which needed to be assembled using 4 very easy bolts (I could do it by myself) and was delivered into our kitchen. The delivery company were not a large chain, but were pleasant enough and had good communication with us before delivery, giving us a short delivery window so we wouldn't be in all day. Our only comment, is that the white wash effect seems different on the physical table as it does when you select the 'white wash' option and an image depicts what is should look like on the order form. After a few days we have got used to it and think it looks great, but it wasn't quite as it looked on the web. However, we didn't contact the company regarding this, as it wasn't an issue that detracted from the quality and feel of the table. Since receiving the table we have had plenty of comments regarding how lovely the table looks and the quality of materials used. It is clearly described as reclaimed on the website, so there are marks that shows it is not a newly manufactured product, but for us, that adds to the charm and character.

I felt that the finish of the Florence Farmhouse table and chairs was not good enough. The table top was chipped on arrival and had to be returned for repair-not replacement. The underside of spindle chairs are very poorly finished - in need of filling and sanding. I did write to the company but received no response.

Oh my word - we LOVE our rustic dining room table! Absolutely stunning craftsmanship: the carpenter was truly passionate about his craft and this really shows in the product. Great service from start to finish - we couldn’t be happier! All our guests comment and say how beautiful it is. Thank you Country Life Furniture!!!!

Do not buy from this place. I bought a bench and a bench cushion for £750! The bench has started to badly crack and is a safety hazard for my toddlers. The cushion is not washable. When i called up, 3 months ago to discuss this, i was told a) that the bench would be picked up within the next week or so and delivered back within 2-3 working days. I was also informed that the cushion should be washable but the person who made it no longer works for the company. The man i talked to said he would get back to me. I have chased him several times in the last 3 months and he has never called me back. He says that he “still hasn’t spoken to the guy that owns the company”. This kind of service is unacceptable at any cost. re response: no one has EVER contacted me!!!!! i have only ever chased and chased and chased to be told by someone called Alex that he will arrange a date for my bench to be collected. That was 3 months ago. I am still chasing. How can you lie on this honest and public forum???

Florence Farmhouse table delivered after 10 weeks. Only given delivery details after repeatedly contacting company. Table very poor quality. Holes poorly filled with wood filler and generally not adequately finished. No resemblance to online photos. Probably cost just £50 to put this product together
