He explains clearly what is needed and expected then lets you learn as you go which was perfect for me. Can’t recommend this course enough if like me you wanted some confidence to begin tiling. Recently completed this course with stu and it was great, all so clear and easy to understand. In the 4 days gives you all the important information you need to start off with and Stu is nothing but helpful through out. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

I have just completed the 9 day professional tilers course and I thougherly recommend it. I had never laid or cut a tile or used any tilers tools. By the end of the first day I was confidently working out and cutting angles. From there I was setting out, planning and laying tiles on both floor and walls. All to a professional standard. You learn by doing, guided and led by Stuart and his vast experience. I was the slowest on the course but was never left behind. Your fellow students support you. It's all very relaxed. Great fun with Stuarts relaxed style of teaching his funny but insightful anecdotal stories that blend skills and business education. Expect hard work and fun. On reflection I wonder how we achieved so much in 9 days. Recommend it. John Andersson

I have come away with so much knowledge of tiling now and can’t wait to get started. Stu the tutor made you feel very welcoming, and made it a joy to attend and want to go back the next day.

Iv just finished my 9 day tiling course and iv got to say it was great stu is a really good teacher he taught me moor than I was expecting to learn in the 9 days it is definitely worth doing iv you are looking on being a tiler I am now confident to go out and take on work in the tiling industry.

Recently took the 9 day course without any prior tiling experience or knowledge and absolutely loved the course! Stu was fantastic and can safely say I feel confident tiling my own house and even do a few jobs for mates after the course. Can’t thank stu and everyone else at The Tiling Academy enough. I started day 1 of the 9 day course having never picked up a trowel and ended the course confident and eager to get out in the world tiling to a standard that I would be happy for someone to come into my own home and do. Stu is a very knowledgeable person and has a clear passion for the trade that he now passes on to his students in a fun working environment. This course doesn’t feel like school, you’re not sat at a desk all day with a little bit of practical, it’s hands on getting stuck in. If you’re thinking about it, my advice is to go for it and do it, I wish I had done it long before now. Thank you again!

I have just completed the 9 day tiling course with Stu at the Tiling Academy. This has been a fabulous course with great instruction from Stu from start to finish with the ongoing mentorship when required. A funny personable instructor with unlimited time and patience. As a complete novice this has got me to a level where I can go out and tile on paid jobs. The varied amount of tiling projects and modules completed was diverse and daunting initially but with instructions and tips all were completed to a high standard. The facility was great with class sizes of no more than 8 with individual pods to work in. All facilities were provided from parking, unlimited refreshments and snacks throughout. Entertainment was provided in many forms from Sky TV, news appears, Darts and game machines. This is a perfect start to a new career in tiling and much more going ahead. Thank you.

I did the 4 day course. Hadn't done any tiling before. At the end of the course I had the confidence and knowledge to get started on my own projects including setting out, tiling walls & floors, handling windows, tiling around showers etc. Also Stu and the others on the course were all great and helping each other out. Recommend the 4 day course for getting started.

Having never lifted a tile In my life I was slightly apprehensive about the 9 day course and new career I was aiming for. I must say from the second you contact the tiling academy you are put at ease, stu, the trainer and owner is outstanding, lovely chap and very knowledgeable, can’t do enough to help and made everyday fun. I’ve left with confidence and new skills to put towards new career, I really can’t recommend the tiling academy more.5 stars absolutely brill, the are no alternatives book your course here. I did the 9 day tiling course and it’s the best thing I ever did, completely changed my life . I now run my own tiling business and have months of work booked in advance all in over a year n half . Such an amazing platform for anyone who wants a career change id highly recommended the tiling academy . Stuart is a top bloke and really pushes you to show the capabilities you can achieve. Also recently taken on a labourer to start with me and Stuart has now got a labourer one day course which is great for a head start and value for money . Best thing I ever done , new career better lifestyle.

I would highly recommend The Tiling academy. I done the course 12 months ago and have never looked back I am now booked up for 3 months in advance all the time. I recently got in touch with Stu regarding hiring a tile cutter for a one off job and he offered me his Sigma 1200 cutter for the work I had booked in, you wouldn't get that anywhere else. Finished the 9 day course and so pleased me and my son Louis chose to drive all the way from London for this . Louis had never laid a tile before and I had done a bit but Stu was so patient with us all . Explaining everything as we went along . Very hands on and very welcoming. This is the course you need to choose if your interested in a career change or just want to learn for yourself. Great set up there all very relaxed and friendly . Really couldn’t ask for more . Met some great people who have all seemed to go there own way and make a go of it all from the 9 days we had on this course . Laid lots of tiles and done some really interesting stuff , plus plenty of theory which was very well set out by Stu . Finished a nine day course last week at the Tiling Academy and I can say it was worth every penny. Been wanting to do tiling for a while now and the opportunity came after being made redundant. Was definitely worth doing, the course from day one definitely showed what a great tutor Stuart was. He made it interesting and fun and showed, how if you were willing to learn what you could achieve. I like a challenge in any type of job and stu certainly gave me them, I've learned so much doing the course and I'm confident enough that I'm setting up on my own. If you are thinking of doing a tiling course then dont look any further than the Tiling Academy, I met five good lads there and every day was a great laugh, I can honestly say a course with top marks.

Fresh off the 9 day tiling course and I can’t find the words to describe what an amazing experience it’s been. To some things up, I’ve felt challenged and then greatly rewarded when over coming those challenges. I’ve met some great people and had a really good laugh. And most importantly I’ve learned a skill for life and it’s all thanks to Stu. Stu is an outstanding teacher and very dedicated. He’ll make time and listen to any questions or concerns you may have and then explain in detail, so don’t worry you’re in good hands. I felt a really good vide from the academy and I only wish the course could of lasted longer.
