If you are reading this before you choose Livingston for your vehicle transportation, you are lucky to have this review and you are smart that you read this before you go ahead. Livingston Vehicle Transportation is not a trustworthy company that you would hire for your vehicle transportation. I decided to relocate from Vancouver to Toronto a month ago (July 2019). My friends suggested me a list of transportation services which the cost varied between 1,000 CAD and 1,300 CAD from Vancouver to Toronto. But eventually I chose Livingston which quoted more than 1,500 CAD. I thought this more expensive service means better customer experience, but, for sure, I am very disappointed, upset and disgusted about their service. Here is the story: The car that was transported is a 2017 Camaro 2SS and there were dash cameras glued on the inside of my vehicle front and rear window. Of course I read the "terms and conditions" before handing over my car to Livingston and of course I saw "no personal items are allowed in the vehicle and the loss will not be covered". I did not tear them off the window because I did not want to leave an ugly scar on the inside of my windshield and I could not believe their employee would tear off such a cheap thing (I bought this camera in China, which was about 50 CAD). When I received my car in Toronto, I realized the cameras were gone, but the points made me angry were not just losing dash cameras. 1, I suspect some extremely ugly things happened during the transportation. As long as my camera is plugged in, it can keep recording for weeks. Some Livingston employee might do something illegal or disgusting and did not want any proof left behind. Things like using my car carrying personal items or even drugs. Or had some conversation and then realized it was recorded. Just imagine, after your vehicle had been delivered to you, police came to your home and found proofs that your vehicle was used for drug dealing and you did not have any proof that it was not done by you. How scary is that? 2, Based on their "terms and conditions", nothing in your vehicle is safe. Any damage or item lost is not covered means they can do whatever they want inside your vehicle. Don't be surprised if you found coffee cups or garbage in your vehicle after you received it. I believe this makes you feel very disgusted. Don't be surprised if you lost anything, because as soon as you hand over you car, anything inside does not belong to you anymore. But at least, your car is safe if it is a blank car without anything inside. Loosing 50 CAD dash camera is not a big deal, but realizing all these disrespects make me feel very disappointed and disgusted. The mark left over on my window is still there with their employee's finger prints. But at this point, I will not argue with them anymore. I wrote this here to suggest you: 1, Do not trust Livingston Vehicle Transportation; 2, Take care of your own vehicle because they will not care; 3, Drive yourself if you love your car. The employees in there claim department are very excellent. The only thing they do is just reading their "policy" again and again and again without any care. They do say "sorry" but followed by non-of-our-business. They are doing a great job and they are hired for this. I would hire them if I own such a business.

Danielle was awesome, she was super friendly and helpful. She was able to help me coordinate receiving my car 3 days early by laying out my options as my car came into the yard on Friday afternoon. I would 100% recommend Livingston - nice people and great service!

A $1000 damage was caused during shipping, You guys refused to pay for fixing as you think this is "minor" damage. However, the contract can not explain how to define so-called "minor". I had 3 cars shipped by Livingston, but NOT anymore.

Like other posters/reviewers below my car was also significantly damaged, I was very unhappy with both the service and follow-up responses. If I could give them a zero star rating I would. Over $8,000 in damages was done to my car while in transit. Despite paying considerable money for and being reassured by Livingston that care would be taken with the transportation of my car, that it would be door-to-door delivery service and transported in enclosed rail, as well as confirmation that my car would be 100% covered for any damages, the car was not delivered door-to-door to its final destination, had many damages that are listed below and was not transported via fully enclosed rail - as confirmed via a professional appraiser and body shop specialists (more below).
Damages that were NOT pre-existing that I noted once I collected the car (which was very dirty), that were further confirmed by a professional appraiser, and then subsequently confirmed via bodyshops are damages that were done while in transit are:
 - multiple windscreen chips - multiple scratches to glass sunroof - multiple scratches and damage to multiple panels on the car, including deep scratching that goes beyond the paint into the bodywork, with dents - white specs all over the car’s black paint- confirmed via an appraiser and body shop estimator to be ash fallout from prolonged OPEN rail transportation - damage to the undercarriage including denting - pushed up/back and tearing of felt lining (hanging down) I have lots of proof - detailed before/after photos, service/repair records, witnesses, an appraiser and body shop estimates - but was completely unsatisfied by the company’s response (and delay or lack thereof) and then their subsequent denial to accept liability. I fully followed their in-depth claims process, which is the last thing you want to spend hours and hours doing after a big move, not to mention the stress/anger/frustration that comes with receiving your car in such a state after having taken good care of it yourself, and paying a lot of money to a company that advertise themselves as professional movers. I also noted damages at the time of delivery on their final release form that you have to sign to collect your car (the full extent of damages was assessed by the appraiser once the car was cleaner). I lost faith in the company and their processes so I chose to involve my own insurance company who assessed and agreed that the damages were done in transit and have approved all repairs. Livingston denied any liability citing their vehicle transportation agreement and heavily relied on a condition inspection report that doesn’t accurately document the pre-existing condition of the car (my insurance adjuster agreed that this wasn’t accurate and was excessively marked up by the person who collected the car - they seem to do this to cover themselves, e.g. they marked dents and scratches on panels that aren’t there - even now after delivery, these supposed dents aren’t on the panels/areas where they marked them)- read others review that also mention excessive marking up of this document. I received a verbal apology via phone and reassurance that my experience wasn’t normal. I chose to pursue a refund for the service and wanted compensation to cover the cost of my insurance deductible. After over a month of back and forth emails and phone calls, I was offered a courtesy gesture of only $500. I was going to accept this to offset some of the costs and be done with them but then they wanted me to sign a full and final release - the first mention of it, which I refused. I’m now assessing ways to escalate this further, including formal complaints to consumer bodies such as the Better Business Bureau among others.

I have filed my claims with Andrea and Josie of Livingston International in Toronto and have not heard back from them since they sent me the forms. I have followed up with several emails and just phoned each of them today without a response! I am very frustrated and I would like my car fixed I've been waiting far too long and have been chasing this down. Your company also reported my previous comment (which was a separate issue from the time it took to get my car and discussed damages by the way) to remove my comment from Trustpilot's website which is totally unacceptable. I am trying to be reasonable and have been waiting patiently to hear back without any response from Livingston. I await a response to my claim and have complied with all the requirements of sending in a claim. Several other people have come forward to me about their frustration and I do not think this is appropriate or fair for a company to keep their customers in the dark about what they are rightfully entitled to.

My car left Montreal (Laval) on July 16th and has been sitting at the CN Toronto train yard (Livingston - Autoport) since July 17th... they guarantee that in only waits there for a maximum of 5 days (7 at the most) - well it's been 9 days and it's still there. If I add in the 10-12 days it will take to get to Edmonton... the extra two days to get down to Calgary and the at least one day for them to truck it to it's final destination.... I'm looking past August 10th to get my car... that's about 1 month to delivery my car - very little time left to enjoy my convertible.

Staff was very helpful when i picked up my vehicles, offered help with affixing my plates as well as finding me a blade to remove the window paint from importing my vehicle. Aside front time constraint stresses (on my side) this was a flawless service and when i called to check the progress, was always informed as to where the vehicle was on route and approx. wait time remaining. Thanks again all!

Order number is 569861. Spoke with Joanna Stansfield originally and received a follow up email from Andrea Burke. I understand the weather. What I don’t understand is how my vehicle was delivered damage and you are refusing to cover even when the dealership attributes the damage to the transportation while in your care. Vehicle was picked up on time. Took approximately 5 weeks to deliver from Montreal to Vancouver, mostly attributable to harsh winter conditions, which is somewhat understandable. Vehicle was delivered with steering out of alignment. According to dealership, this is common when tied down on floats and railcars. Attempted to make a claim however was refused account damage claims are only for scratches and dents. I tried to escalate and received an email back stating same. I’ve been trying for over a week to speak with someone at Livingston without any luck. I’ve sent emails, left voice mails and received no response. Very unfortunate experience considering the length of delivery time and an additional $450 bill from the dealership for a re-alignment. Very disappointing considering my vehicle is practically brand new and was in perfect condition when I trusted it to Livingston.
