THE WORST COMPANY EVER! Can't speak to anyone and emails get ignored, managed to 'talk' to someone on the live chat only to be dealt with loads of abuse and attitude also cut off mid conversation by them as they stated I was wasting their time and mine?! This joke of a company should be shut down. DO NOT use this company!!

Told me to please use another company… I beat them by getting my rebate through HMRC before they lifted a finger. Misleading and they claim to have your case complete in 12 weeks, then it was 16 weeks and now it’s use another company. Don’t waste your time on these cowboys.

Absolute scum of the earth, didn’t hear anything for 2 years then found out via my tax code that had dropped by £5000 they had put a claim in 2 years later that was 6 months after we had separated , they left me is such a mess and they couldn’t care less , they even tried to blame me saying I should of told them we had separated, why would I instantly think of them 2 years on , HMRC have been notified they claimed while we weren’t together and making a profit in the process.

HMRC sent a cheque for my rebate six weeks ago and I have still not received anything. They ignore my emails when I ask them where it is. I previously asked them to cancel my claim but they refused to do so till they had made money from me.

They are scammers and will take a large cut of your money!! Do not use this corrupt company. Seek advice elsewhere or go straight to HMRC if due a rebate. The person I spoke to today was so rude and unprofessional! Don’t trust them.

Oh my god, honestly I’m lost for words. I sent a message via live chat asking for an update and the response I got was hard to believe. Shame I can’t upload a picture but the sarcasm, rudeness, nastiness and tone of the woman I spoke to was out of this world.

Biggest mistake of my life authorising this lot to deal with my tax rebate in future I will only deal with HMRC them selves rebate gateway there customer service is disgusting you jump through there hoops like I have and the way say I haven’t sent them the required documentation which is rubbish because they request that through the application phase online Hmrc advised me to take it to action fraud because there withholding my money they sent an email with a lot of attitude threatening to sue me if I take that avenue crack on I’m a poor squaddie I’ve got nothing to take there phone number is totally useless it’s totally automated you can’t physically speak to someone Which isn’t surprising with the experience I’ve had thus far my advise is if you get a letter from HMRC saying you’ve over paid tax deal with HMRC don’t not let these people deal with it because they take a cut for the dam privilege

Received a letter saying I've been mis-sold something and overpaid tax on a refund I definitely did not receive must claim straight away but no information provided on letter so contacted there online chat long story short was basically told because I'm not a client and not even bothered to fill out there claim form they will not be assisting me and ended the chat. Do not fall for there scam

DO NOT USE! Out of the blue I received a letter from this company applied and heard nothing so went on their live chat. I have never experienced such rude customer service I have told them to close my application as I am not willing to be spoken to like that and I will do it myself.

I filled in what I believed was an enquiry to see if we could benefit married all tax office sent my husband a letter to say he had a £1000 tax rebate same post told me I owed the tax £1000 this co. had the rebate took more than half over £500 I pointed out we had not gained anything but debt so if they can do this to 2 80 year olds with heating bills to pay "BEWARE"

If I could give minus stars I would! Total incompetent company with extremely rude staff. They tried to take £153 from a £119 claim, yep apparently I owed them money and threatened me with debt collectors!! Couldn't believe the unprofessional and rude replies I got when I challenged them! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST!!

Was told my money had been received by the company. And to supply documents. I asked how much the rebate was for before I supplied such details (due to a previous falling out with the company due to poor customer service) They have now stated they will not respond to any further emails and I can take them to the FOS, if I want to as they’re not regulated by them so it won’t matter. Absolute cowboy company, Would avoid at all costs as they’ve now essentially scammed me of all money! And now said “it’s an error they haven’t received nothing” HMRC are due to call me tomorrow to discuss. But since they’re not regulated it seems as if nobody can do anything about them.

Originally received a letter from rebate gateway to tell me I was due a tax refund. the whole process has been completely draining. HMRC sent them the cheque for £151. I am still waiting to receive that money to my bank account. I applied 6th march 23 and still waiting now. they told me my payment was processed on 5th may it is still not showing on my account. PLEASE do not use rebate gateway. I wish I had just gone through the usual process of HMRC who pay your refund in about 5 days! Emailing rebate gateway really gives you an insight to the level of their professionalism. The rudeness was unbelievable, language used was passive aggressive and accusatory in tone. I cc'd in the complaints dept. and heard absolutely nothing! I am still waiting for my money. Even a small amount they have no right to keep hold of clients money and no explanation.

I never leave reviews, especially bad ones. This is the first time I've ever felt the need to share a bad experience. Not a scam company but avoid at all costs. I knew about them as they sent me a letter, completely unasked for, about a potential rebate. They're letters are made to look like HMCR official letters. The wording of their letter made it seem like if I didn't claim fast enough I would not get back any money from overpaid tax. I went through their services. I had no update on what was happening until I received an email about two months later telling me I was entitled to money, but I needed to supply ID verification for anti-money laundering which is fine, whatever - I work in the financial sector myself I get it. In the mean time I wrote a complaint and received nothing back until I said I was going to take it to the FoS. Then they decided to reply. They're complaints department is rude, and accusing. They accused me that I had basically Copy and pasted parts of my complaint from other people complaining; when I had done no such thing. If my points however are that common that they're also mentioned by other people online than that says more about their abysmal company than anything. They're complaints department admitted that the complaint was never logged because I didn't supply my NI number. I did however supply the letter I was originally sent by them and a screen shot of the confirmation email that I made a claim. Why they never bothered to contact me for my details is beyond me and I can only assume its to avoid actually logging complaints. Anyone can look good if you don't actually log complaints. I supplied my NI number and postcode as requested (postcode was on the letter) and I have yet to hear back. That was on the 8th December 2022, when I have asked if my details will be removed from their system once payment made (as they decided to completely ignore that in my original complaint on the 11th November 2022) and if they're actually registered with any regulating body so I can take my complaint further. The complaints department basically admitted they had no duty of care - bare in mind I am obviously in financial difficulties, something they should have known as they quoted which company they got my information from. Avoid at all costs. Just go through HMRC directly to see if you're eligable for a refund. The director appears to have one failed company and one about to be written off (not this one but if this is how they treat people it probably won't be long, we can only pray); all in the same sector. Take that as you will but it's not really a good sign.

Absolutely scam company. I was due a rebate of £230. Hmrc sent it to this company and they have sent nothing to me so I haven't seen a penny of it. Very very very rude customer services and will cut you off mid conversation. Avoid this company at all costs.

Shocking customer service! Rude advisors on webchat, when you call there's no way to be put through! No way to actual way to contact anyone!
