United Kingdom | 18 January 2020I used Blue Sky to form a company last year, and almost every step has been dogged with issues. While starting the company you have the option to search for your proposed business names and it will tell you if the company name is available - ours was, but it wasn't mentioned at any point that there was a 99% identical name which caused serious delays in getting our banking set up. I appreciate that we could have had a look around as well, but as the entire point of the service is to remove hassle it was immediately somewhat redundant. I also didn't get any of the free accounting information that I requested which was incredibly annoying. However, the biggest issue is what counts as 'unsupported mail'. The administration fee to have a single item sent out was, if I remember correctly, over £10, which was a ludicrous amount. I had several items of business correspondence from my bank sent to this address, and despite being address specifically to the company, they were flagged as unsupported and sent back to the bank. This meant that the account was temporarily frozen as the registered address was apparently invalid. As such, one morning a couple of hours before an international flight, when I was trying to make a salary and invoice payment the account had been frozen. I am currently discussing the handling of the situation with the bank, however the only reason a huge amount of hassle, time and a wasted flight has come about is I was daft enough to use their service.
