United Kingdom | 05 April 2025Start to finish was a delight. Travelled to view a motorhome, viewing was great, test drive was arranged, supplied all relevant documents, warranty, MOT and extras on top, handover on a date suitable to me, lovely experience, would recommend if you find a motorhome that you like, they even buy back Motorhomes should you wish to sell in the future

United Kingdom | 24 March 2025I came to test drive a vehicle at Clearway Motor homes and found the following. The Campervan was quite dirty and the cupboards contained foodstuffs which one supposes were left by the previous owners. There was an assortment of crockery left and some kind of bedding stuffed under the rock and roll bed. I could have overlooked this. However, when a vehicle is advertised on Autotrader and the company's own website as having cruise control, air conditioning, reversing sensors and a reversing camera one expects these to be present, sadly they were not. When challenged about the discrepancy the salesperson said "oh we just download the specification's from a database." No apology offered. As I managed to discover all this within a few minutes of seeing the vehicle I would have thought a professional company would have checked themselves. Having driven some distance to view this vehicle I was not impressed. I will not be returning.

United Kingdom | 08 July 2024Don’t buy from this company we brought our first Motorhome last October gave a good review then it went down hill from there that bad that 7 months down the line I now don’t have a Motorhome sold on as I was constantly having it repaired then the engine light came on was told it needs a engine refurb which will cost sold to a company that will take Motorhomes found out it was full of damp price dropped so low lost £15000 on the price noticed I’d paid Clearway for habitation check, service, mot realised no habitation check or service no paperwork said it wasn’t needed first time at this and have been done all lies when company asked where we brought it from and said he just said you’ve been done I’m sorry to say and it doesn’t surprise him. so on my birthday lost my Motorhome that was my dream and a lot of my inheritance money from my nan and dad when they passed away and some very upset children who loved the Motorhome we will NEVER GO NEAR THIS COMPANY AGAIN LESSON LEARNT

United Kingdom | 01 July 2024Please avoid at all costs! They were absent from school the day that morals and honesty were taught. I’d call them cowboys but don’t want to give cowboys a bad name.

United Kingdom | 21 February 2024WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT BE TEMPTED WHATEVER THE VEHICLE IS. YOU WILL RUE THE DAY YOU ENTERED THEIR FORECOURT. SAVE YOURSELF FROM TIME WASTING ROGUES. My experience started 1 September 2022 and has only just been resolved by my credit card company using section 75. Always pay some amount with your credit card to have any hope of full redress. God Bless Barclaycard!

United Kingdom | 16 October 2023I am at the moment in dispute with clearway concerning the very poor quality of a motorhome they have sold me for £30000. This morning is the first cold morning since the purchse and cold starting is a big problem with the van stalling 5 mins a fter being started. This is the last straw for me. On my last visit to clearway with 3 advocates. The manager Graham Denied being the manager and made us wait 30 mins to see Haiden who was then witnessed leaving the premises. Eventually the manager admitted that he was the boss ?????!! Graham informed us that they don't check the mechanical side and rectifiy any faults found on any of the motorhomes they sell (This bombshell has been fully confirmed by the staff at their partner garage in bruton westend motors.) as it would be too expensive to do so.!!!!!!!???!! When I mentioned the word Compensation Graham said I could compensate HIM if I wanted to. This phrase was repeated throughout the 40 minute meeting and has of course not helped with this disreputable dealers attempt to steal £30000 from my mother. Graham advised me to contact a lawer. This was easy for me as i share a house with one. My legal advice has stated that the condition of the top of the engine alone would be a winner in the small claims court and i will be able to claim all expenses including the hire of a replacement van while this is sorted out When clearway receives information of an honest but negative complaint which has also been posted on the many review sites, rather than remedy the fault with the client (victim) they seek to ask friends to post positive reviews to up the star rating. This is a blatant contravention of trustpilot rules. They pretent to not care about the ill repute they create with their unlawful practices. But all the work they put in to upping their star rating tells a different story. Hello HAIDEN . MY WEBMASTER REPORTS YOU ARE WORKING HARD TO UP YOUR STAR RATING yet you have not contacted me by phone or email or post since i have complained or acknowledged my request fot a refund. I am still waiting for my warranty policy. All i have is a proposal form. The current offer from clearway is to return the vehicle at my expense, also with no temporary replacement for what I very roughly estimate to be £3000 worth of essential work to be done under the warranty. The warranty states that none of these faults are covered by the warranty and to make such a claim would be fraud. I am being asked to commit warranty fraud to get my vehicle to a point it should have been at when placed on the forecourt. I could go on and on about the unethical practice's I and my representatives have witnessed at this Second Hand Car Dealer. Buying from them has proved to be a nightmare. It goes beond bad service to the point of openly showing contempt towards the customer. This is especially true of a man who Denies being the manager once the sale has been made and insinuated that I am not normal. All of this is on the record.

United Kingdom | 14 October 2023Having given my son £30.0000 to buy a motorhome, I am very disappointed that he used this company He has experienced nothing but trouble since day one when after a short drive he found the suspension needed attention, and the freezer stopped working, But not to worry as these things are surely covered under the warranty, Their info states __* Personal Touch that makes a Difference - Our Motorhomes are sold with Warranty, MOT, Habitation Inspection and full demonstration on Hand Over. WRONG, NOTHING APPEARS TO BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY *Aftersales - We want to take this opportunity to reassure you that you will be looked after long after you leave the forecourt WRONG WE ARE NOT BEING LOOKED AFTER AT ALL THERE IS NO AFTERSALES AND THEIR WARRANTY IS A USELESS BIT OF PAPER. 3 Weeks on and more faults appear, after speaking to the garage which does their MOT work, we find out that they do not do any roadworthy inspection or repair work for Clearway, so they are relying on an MOT inspection, in order to be able to fool the customer into thinking it has had a roadworthy inspection. We would be happy for this company to take bake back this faulty vehicle and give our money back

United Kingdom | 29 September 2023We have purchased two motor homes from Clearway each occasion we were treated with utmost respect.Nothing was too much trouble Hayden spent hours going through various technical details to ensure we understood how to get the best use out of the extra electrical fittings inside. All rounded off with a nice cup of tea.We would highly recommend this family run business to anyone. Also weeks after purchase we rang for advice and were guided through a process by Hayden once again.

United Kingdom | 22 October 2021We bought a motorhome from these people as they were a family firm so thought we would get good service. How wrong can we be. Bought the motorhome in good faith as it was to have an mot, sevice, Hab check and valet inside and out. After collecting it we could see that no way had it been cleaned. Solidified shower gel behind the shower door. Floor was filthy, dead flies on the fly screen on roof skylight. The worst was the toilet had not been emptied. Before our journey for a weekend away checked the oil & water. Had to put a pint of oil in and fill the water bottle so a service was not done. Never did get the invoice so that says it all. Whilst away the on board water tank leaked so no water. Next morning the van was flooded as we had rain storms through the night. Cupboard, table, floor flooded. More water than we could get in our kettle!!! We lost books that was precious to us Fridge stopped working . Co2 alarm went off turned out to be a leisure battery getting very hot and omitting an awful smell. Thankfully we woke the next morning. Table not fitted correctly and window support broken. Took the van back for a full refund but was refused until the van was looked at. Never did get a report so we then asked them to buy it back off us as we couldnt even think about going away again in it again. They offered us £2000 less than we paid and we had only had the van 3 weeks. We were getting so stressed out about it so we took the money. We lost money on the Tax and insurance too. So all in all they were in the wrong for not doing there job in the first place and we were the innocent party. Please do not use these people unless you know they have done what they have promised to do. We learnt the hard way. To top it all within 5 weeks they have put the same motorhome up for sale £2000 more than we originally paid for it. I wonder if it has been fixed.

United Kingdom | 09 September 2021Recently purchased a motorhome from Clearway. We're complete noobs when it comes to motorhomes but our experience with Clearway pre-sales was pleasant enough. Agreed a purchase and picked up three/four weeks later. Once we had the motorhome there were a few problems unfortunately. We had to do a good deep clean as this had not been undertaken - no problem. I noticed a coolant leak in the footwell which I identified as a heater matrix issue. A few emails back and forth and Clearway agreed to fix under warranty. Not ideal but so far so good I guess. Once we decided to actually use the motorhome we experienced more problems, we had a drainage leak. Clearway took the home (a pain as we had to travel quite a long way) and after a week decided they could not fix it - told me to go to somewhere local. I did and they fixed it. Contacted Clearway multiple times with the cost and no response. Unfortunately based on this experience I lost all faith in the service, MOT, and habitation check that was alledgedly carried out. I've since had a full service - the air filter had not been changed, leak from the sump, tire pressures had not been checked and garage was too polite to comment on oil filter, etc. Sockets and gas hob failure not picked up in habitation check as well as the afore mentioned leaking drainage. I think that service and habitation is simply signed off on the hope that nothing will crop up. I advise caution on dealing with this company, know what you're doing.

United Kingdom | 19 May 2021My husband and i recently purchased our second Motor-home from here. We part exchanged our previous vehicle which was super easy and a pleasant experience. We were thrilled with our new purchase, moving onto a newer model and a fixed bed, it ticked all our boxes. Purchase and handover was thoroughly detailed so we were up to speed with the new vehicle. We did however encounter one small problem afterwards to which Clearway managed rectified and solved all with in less then one week and we now have her back ready to hit the road again. Thank you for our new Motor-home and we hope someone enjoys our previous one. Its worth visiting this company for your next purchase.

United Kingdom | 17 October 2020As beginners to motorhomes, we were definitely taken advantage of. We fell in love with the motorhome, and therefore didn't check the vehicle as well as we should have. The tyres were all too old and some had bulges as well as signs of perishing and when we had them changed they also turned out to be van tyres and not motorhome tyres. There were some catches and hinges that we did spot and Haden promised that he would order replacements for when we collected the vehicle, which conveniently had not arrived when we did pick it up and he again promised to send them on. Five months later they still have not arrived and we have not had a reply to our email, we know the email works as we used it whilst paying for the vehicle. We did expect wear and tear on a 15 year old vehicle but we also expected the habitation check to cover items like the windows, one handle was broken but only if you tried to open it. Also one of the roof skylights flyscreen/blind was broken. When we collected the vehicle there were warning lights on the dash which Haden asked us to take it to a Mercedes garage and have a diagnostics done and depending on the results it should be covered by the warranty, however it turned out that the diagnostics tool wouldn't work on it and old fashioned man hours discovered that it was due to the fitting of the alarm after manufacture and there was a starting procedure which Haden had not known/past on, which as it is his trade, was very disappointing. The cleaning was only superficial, the roof wasn't touched and the shower door wasn't fastened back so after we collected the van there was an almighty crash inside and the bathroom mirror had fallen off, luckily it didn't break but finding replacement fittings was very difficult. Consequently we will not ever use or recommend this company and are looking at going to trading standards.
