I had to buy SMD version of AT89S52 and it was not available in any of the Indian websites. That is when I found iodparts.com. Shipping was quick. The 2nd time I had to buy some 100 pieces of inexpensive microcontroller (CH552) from China. I was not able buy directly due to shipping and customs issues. Even though it was NOT available in iodparts.com, based on my request, they were kind enough to procure them from China and ship it to me :) Highly recommended for small scale embedded hardware/software developers trying to procure electronics components.

This is the best website if you are planning to buy digikey or mouser parts without paying custom duty. This is the bottle neck for Indian makers. Indian makers want to make projects and build some prototypes but due to ridiculous government charges and custom officers. makers can't import parts and alternatives are not available in india. Service like iod parts is very essential since they provide parts at the exact rate of digikey ( personal opinion ) and delivery charges are negligible. The most important part is custom duty which they handle them self we don't have to pay anything. I ordered them they arrived in just a week. My pcbs are not even arrived yet. And the charges are very reliable. Service is also convenient. You only have to upload excel sheet of your parts they will provide you quotation. You pay using debit card or credit card or upi and boom your parts will arrive in just a week and then you solder them. Boom your project is live

iodParts presents a user interface that is slightly unusual at the beginning. The parametric search is embedded deep inside the web interface. I had to learn to use it. Addition of a few important features would be appreciated. For example I would like to be able to easily create a BOM for my Project. And each time I would simply open that project and reorder. Without my BOM based on my project I would have to work it hard each time. I would also like to be able to simply upload my BOM from say KiCAD. I am writing this review based on using iodParts here in India. So the rest of my review may not apply elsewhere. From my experience of using the service I believe the local stock can be enriched to some extent so that every order does not have to be imported each time. I do not know for sure if this is the case, however my experience told me so based on the time taken.
