United Kingdom | 30 August 2024Be very aware of taking your vehicle to this company. I’ve had over £3500 work done on the Van over the past few months various things being replaced. One of the biggest jobs was for all injectors, Injection pump, Fuel filter & fuel pressure regulator being replaced. Ran fine for a 4-5 month then all of a sudden diesel is leaking out from the injection pump. Took it back to the garage where upon looking at the engine with the mechanic noticed that the pump was slightly corroded which was a bit odd as I thought new parts should not corrode that quick. I ask the mechanic and he said it will be a refurb part. I was lead to believe they only installed new parts for guarantee & warranty. Anyway the part was replaced under warranty. Got a call yesterday to pop into the garage. Me thinking they just might want to check all is OK and there is no leak. Went in this morning and they tell me we have an issue with the part that was replaced. The part no. doesn’t match from the supplier. Basically its not one of there parts. The garage are more or less trying to say that the part has been changed since it left the garage. Wow .. I could not believe what I was hearing!! They haven’t out right accused me but their assumption is that because I work close to a scrapyard and suggested could I buy parts from there and for them to install to keep that costs down when they initially diagnosed the problem. They made it clear at the time that they cant guarentee second hand parts which is fair enough and at least I knew they would be installing new parts and it would be worry free motoring if any of those parts fail. But with me mentioning that 4-5 months ago seems to have planted a seed and they are putting 2 & 2 together and coming up with 5. I think they need to look a bit closer to home as to who actually installed what. I certainly will not be taking any of my vehicles back to this garage again. The trust has gone! =============== As I was unable to directly respond to their reply Ive added it below =============== I wasn’t able to rely to your response so I adding it to my review to clarify a few things. I believe my initial 1-star review is fair based on the level of customer service I received. This follow-up aims to clarify my concerns so that others can understand the situation better. Once it became clear that the issue stemmed from your supplier, a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way via Phone/text/email saying …. "sorry for the misunderstanding we have found the error and it was nothing to do with you can you please edit your review. This would have resolved the matter quickly and professionally. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and the lack of initiative in addressing the situation reflects poorly on your customer service. To address your reply to my original review: I never claimed you outright accused me. I specifically stated, "They haven’t outright accused me…" However, the way the issue was framed strongly implied that I must have been responsible for changing the part. Your approach conveyed that it couldn’t have been the supplier or Sure Start, leaving only me as the plausible cause. This was more than just a misunderstanding—it felt like an indirect accusation, which is why I addressed it in my review. On to the final point of refurbished parts. I was never given 2 quotes only 1 which was supposedly for a new part . Again I refer to the section in my initial review “They made it clear at the time that they cant guarantee second hand parts which is fair enough and at least I knew they would be installing new parts and it would be worry free motoring if any of those parts fail.” If a refurbished part not classed as a second hand part? To my knowledge they are.

United Kingdom | 06 August 2024Absolutely shocking company I've been treated appalling had 2 new engines fitted since January they've had my van for 3 months now the second engine failed Rac said it was the camshaft sensor I told them that it's took them 3 months to say that the engine company will not guarantee it as it was my fault what a joke and while my van was in there care someone tried drilling the back door lock and bent the door but they are taking no responsibility for it now they want £4,000 to fix the van which wasn't my fault on top of the £6000 I've previously paid for a new engine which are re condition ones don't not take your vehicles to this garage

Just picked my car back up pictures to show what the problem was and what they had done to repair the problem. From the lady on reception to answering the phone to the lads in the garage excellent and polite service would highly recommend
