Needed the ILM certificate as a company pre-requesite of formal management qualification for a promotion. I thought this would just be a box-ticking exercise given my extensive background in managing teams and that the course would not add too much value. To put it simply, I was wrong. While I did have practical experience and had my own unique style of team management, the course incentivised me: - To do extensive research on the theory aspect of leadership and management, - Think about various management styles in the company and beyond, - Familiarise myself with all relevant policies and procedures in my organisations, - Apply knowledge in a team setting. UKCPD has a bank of tools available to learners, and I suggest you use them. I want to also give a shoutout to my dedicated instructor, Melanie Richens, who spared no effort in supporting me and always being there to answer my questions and review my submissions. A great experience all in all.

I've just completed by ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring via UKCPD. They have been brilliant from start to completion - lots of helpful resources, templates and training sessions. Mel (my assigned tutor) has given me great support and advice, and Tony's daily/weekly inspirational quotes and videos have been very motivational. I first passed my ILM Level 5 10 years ago. However an admin error at the time meant that the information never got fully passed over to the ILM. When I started working as a coach in 2024 I found out that I needed to redo elements of my qualification. UKCPD were extremely professional and patient at helping me navigate what needed to be done. After doing a lot of research I eventually found UKCPD to complete my NLP Coaching Practitioner course. It is not overstating it to say that it has been life-changing, not only altering my direction in life, but also from the close friends that I made as a result of this course. As a veteran of many training courses and as a part-time teacher, I was seriously impressed with the content and delivery. Always engaging, interesting and thought-provoking with some superb direction on further reading in each topic. No help when requested, nearly 3 weeks to answer a question. Couldn't download so the materials. Only time they were on the ball was when payment was missed. Reply is absolutely false. No missed appointments at all. I did speak to you about the payment plan and replied to messages and engaged in the course. It can't have been my account you reviewed. On line study has worked fine for me in the past so I don't appreciate the incorrect judgement. Poorly run and totally false replies! Very unprofessional.

I have just submitted my ILM Level 7 in executive coaching and wanted to give some feedback in praise of UKCPD and in particular, my wonderful tutor, Mel. When I wasn’t sure which qualification to peruse Tony was wonderful in giving his time and wisdom in making the right choice for me and what I ultimately wanted from undertaking another qualification. Mel was responsive and supportive in her guidance - exactly what you would wish for in a tutor when endeavouring to undertake and successfully complete such a mammoth project with many different requirements. She was patient and reassuring when I started panicking after months of procrastination, and helped me focus and step by step get it done. Knowing she was there for me to ask any questions, no matter how small, really helped relieve my overthinking tendencies and enable me to take action. She was also an amazing coach supervisor, as she was kind, insightful, and wise. Having had some anticipation about the supervision process my perspective on how it can be has changed completely. In particular through the skilled way in which she gently facilitated and increased my awareness as a coach in spite of my overly critical self-evaluation perfectionist traits. I thoroughly enjoyed my learning journey with The UK College of Personal Development. Initially I was quite worried about my ability to achieve my ILM Level 7 Certificate in Exec Coaching and Mentoring. I had last studied at University in the 80s! I thought I might be a little rusty. This soon dissipated once I realised that Mel was right behind me and wanted me to succeed. She was incredibly helpful and supportive. I am still in awe of her ability to read, absorb and critique swathes of material in what seems like seconds! I enjoyed the online learning lessons too. Training with UKCPD has been an amazing experience. Having completed the 18 day course, I have come away as a Qualified NLP Practitioner and a Certified Business and Life Coach.
