I have had Sentinel Gold for more years than i can remember. Over the years I have had three occasions when I have needed to use them, the last just a couple of weeks ago As per previous experience all was dealt with efficiently, including a new card I hadn't registered.The cost of Sentinel Gold has always been worth it because it works and the peace of mind it gives no matter where in the world you are.

I had cover with Sentinel through my Lloyds bank account which expired in 2015. I recently lost m house keys but luckily still had the Sentinel tag attached. The keys were sent back to me and the service I got from Sentinel was first class

When arrived to the rented accommodation in Italy, I could not find my credit cards wallet, cards I used few hours before at the rental car desk. Half an hour of search and panic, then I called Sentinel Gold and they immediately act on my behalf to stop all cards. Great service. They also later informed me that they could not directly request card replacement with few banks, because those did require to speak directly with the card holder to process a replacement (that I did when back to UK). It was a stressful experience, but the action of the advisor (thank you very much Matthew) was both reassuring and effective. Holiday saved and no doggy transactions experienced. I would like to make a suggestion, please add on the Sentinel card the UK direct number +44 2392652222, the '0800' 24hr service numbers currently listed on the back of the card were useless on the occasion. I tried the Italian one first, just ringing no answer, then call directly the UK number and magic got a prompt service; when you under stress a successful contact would really help (I was lucky to have that number with me at the time).

I have just tried to phone Sentinal Gold from Spain using my mobile. You cannot call a premium number from a mobile. What is going on.

A very petty company who can't afford to give my mother £12.50. Due to my father passing away last year my mother had to cancel his account. You ask for legal documents. You get a death certificate then you have the nerve to ask for a grant of probate. Sentinel Gold are a joke and, if I could give them no stars I would. Anyone considering to use this company look elsewhere.

I lost my wallet two weeks ago. Contacted Sentinel Gold, they cancelled the cards BUT did not order new ones. What a complete waste of money & time

My mum has had a policy for many many years, paying for what seems to be a pointless service. Certainly she has never claimed to my knowledge. She has Alzheimer's disease and no longer has any knowledge of it for at least the last 4 years. There's no way to cancel it early as it's a 3 year policy apparently, which auto renews. When clearing out mum's old house I found paperwork regarding a mass legal case that many people, including mum, had been misold this policy in the first instance. Sadly she hadn't returned the form to claim her compensation, again because of her Alzheimer's disease one would imagine. From what I gather this policy (which costs £90 a year!!!!!!!) cancels your cards for you if you lose them. Surely you can just do this yourself with the card issuers. My mum only has one card these days so it seems like a complete waste of money!

I lost my wallet two weeks ago and used my card protection scheme with Sentinel Gold to cancel three bank cards and arrange for replacements. Sentinel Gold rang me back to say my First Direct debit card could not be replaced without me ringing First Direct myself. They said my Barclaycard and American Express cards had been cancelled and that new cards were being issued. They added that my wife would also have to be issued with a new Barclaycard and a new American Express card. Just about everything I was told was simply untrue. Sentinel Gold DID NOT cancel the American Express cards at all and I only found this out when I rang Amex to see where my replacement card had got to 10 days later. My lost card had been unblocked all this time! Amex stated that my wife's card did not need to be blocked as it had not been lost. Basically she could have carried on using it all along. Sentinel did get my Barclaycard blocked but they DID NOT arrange replacement cards as promised. Again I only found this out when I rang Barclaycard to query the non arrival of the new cards. The bottom line here is that I have basically had to telephone each organisation myself to arrange the things Sentinelgold claim to do. If I had done this initially I would have not have had to struggle without credit cards for two weeks!
