Been using Volo for over 10 years and its a great company. After becoming familiar with the software which can take a bit of time, it's extremely useful and helps streamline many facets of the business. Any issues are very promptly addressed through a ticket system, especially most recently after the FOG acquisition. It's a very robust multi-channel system and also recently has useful analytics. Things have definitely improved and I'm happy to be a customer!

Overall really happy with Volo. Massive improvements since FOG group takeover. Couldn’t ask for better support from Jason our account manager. Reporting suite Volo Vision is also very good. Think the negative reviews are from the esellerpro days a longtime ago, definitely prior to the takeover anyway.

Over the last 15 years consumer demand online has increased dramatically, resulting in various marketplaces and websites to pop up. Initially these marketplaces and websites had worked independently, resulting in overselling and data management nightmares for businesses selling in multiple places. Volo as a platform had been built to plug the gap and help aggregate the data across all of the popular channels such as eBay, Amazon and a number of web technologies such as Magento, BigCommerce and Shopify. I’ve worked closely with Volo for best part of 13 years now and have seen Volo adapt their multichannel solution to work with a variety of businesses across multiple industry verticals, giving a more ‘tailored’ approach than out of the box which has helped contribute to more than £500m in GMV per annum. The company had some disruption however for a few years as there was ever growing competition in the market and perhaps had plans which many customers felt was a little too ambitious resulting in a loss of focus in its core principles for a short time. Following recent acquisition in late 2019 from Fog Software, new investment has allowed the business to refocus on its offerings by introducing new updates and customisations to support its existing customer base. One of the latest tests has been the significant increase in order volumes due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has given me and my team reassurance that the business is back on track and delivering on our customer expectations and building a platform that supports business adaptability and growth.

We've been using Volo Commerce for more than 10 of years now, and we could not be happier with the service we receive from them. Once you get your head around how the system works (it's not that complicated, and support staff is always helpful) the software is faultless and covers pretty much everything you would want, from listing products on multiple channels, automatic stock management, to customers service and orders fulfilment like printing labels, invoicing, tax reports, integrating with various shipping providers and more. In a fast-paced business like ours, this allowed us to grow our sales across Europe and beyond and manage numerous websites and sales channels without the need for extra staffing resources or over-complicated software and the costs associated with it. They also have excellent customer service and continually develop their product with customer needs at the forefront of their thinking. Overall, it's an excellent tool for online sales, and we'd recommend this product exceptionally highly. Military1st Team.

The best multi-channel software that I've used, and I've used a lot! The support is excellent - can't understand the low score reviews but since the new ownership in 2019 we couldn't have asked for more from Volo. Very open company whos success relies on the success of their customers - 5 Stars

All previous reviews providing fact for Volo's avoidance should not be ignored. Volo is truly a shocking company with business to business ethics unlike no other. You see, the dream is given to you by top-class marketing that Volo will make you a success and then you pay them handsomely for your successes, sounds great so far. What they don't tell you is that they still want you to pay them handsomely even if you don't become a success. Its a cash cow centralising on a system of old buggy software supported by consecutive investors who over the years have seen it milked dry by pointless efforts in development. Initially, we had a great relationship with Volo as they were always approachable right up to CEO level and handy they were on our doorstep. Then things changed in our first year for the worst and Volo staff came and went with issues we had raised left for prolonged periods. Then from nowhere, Fog software group took over the reins in August this year just as we decided to leave. I found the CEO a very interesting chap but going on our departure differences it deems Volo still thinks it may bring us successes 12 months after we have left as they are demanding we pay up to OCT 2020 for them to allow severance, absolutely bizarre and a bullying tactic I thought was last used by double glazing salesmen that were stamped out in the '90s. They are basing this on a contract since 2015 that has been since 2016 on reduced fees due services unfit for purpose. It's nerve-racking not knowing if you are jumping out of the pan into the fire regarding any e-commerce transition. The truth is its not as easy as we thought it would be but this was mainly due to discovering Volo's initial market place setups weren't entirely legit and we spent about a month undoing what Volo had created. We were with Volo for 4 years, 2 years too many looking back on it but they kept making promises again and again new development was coming. It also softened the blow with them providing reduced fees but looking back on it with the services and support we actually got it was still overvalued when compared to other offerings such as Linnworks or Seller dynamics. More so it has hampered our online development and now using a new e-commerce solution we are just realising 2 months in by how much we were losing out, which is annoying but reassuring we did the right thing. Until Volo get rid of the Java-based software the limitations will remain frustrating for most whilst paying a premium. When we joined 4 years ago this was one of their main goals was to create a cloud base version of Volo which was the carrot Volo always dangled to us. it was in development and called Volo 2 but was never taken on by the Fog acquisition which makes me wonder how they are going to improve the current java system when it already seems limited and years behind what is now available by other providers. Volo briefly provided a time map on development that was short-lived as it always ignited the in house forum every time there was a delay. The updates stopped and then the forum was closed down to stop Volo customers venting to each other about Volo. They did introduce a new forum about a year ago but there were only 20 posts the last time I looked which were mainly added by admin and did make me wonder how many customers Volo had compared to when I joined. You cant use Volo on a tablet/mobile and using it on a laptop makes it almost unreadable as the text is so small. My advice is to go back to basics and do the research and rely less on the marketing as it will suck you in being the one-stop solution which currently it is far from being. Look around as there are better options available at considerably less cost.

Joke of a company. - Technology is outdated and their roadmap is never delivered. We've been waiting for 2d barcodes (such a simple request) for a year now. - Service centre is ok, some good people but you can tell they are just a mouthpiece for management. No new development work AT ALL on their current product. - We've had so many different contacts in the last 3 years, Volo staff turnover is ridiculously high. Every person tells us it will be different an they care about our business only for them to leave after 6 months. - Really expensive. Their pricing model is outdated and isn;t justified by either the product or the servie. - Very restrictive contract that renews automatically 3 months before it ends. Their accounts team will hold you to this even if you miss by a day or two (as happened to us last year) - They only care about fashion companies, if you are in automotive or a merchant then leave asap as they just aren't interested. Seriously, read their website it just talks about AI and fashion but they don't do either!!!! Can't wait to leave and move to a competitor who has a web based application and is truly best in class. In summary - avoid.

of all the online companies we have worked with this is the worst service and support that we have ever received. After a multitude of errors, even after support admitted the errors we were told we would be refunded and part ways. 4 months later and no refund, the company then said it was a previous employee that had promised this and that despite this 'not being their finest hour' no refund would be issued and they would no longer reply to any communication! If look at glass door then you can see management posting reviews and I expect the same is true for this platform. Do not be pulled in by the sales team!

Some features are good, however their lack of support is appalling. They lack the ability to fix issues quickly and ask their customers to go back and forth between platforms (ebay & Amazon) to fix issues. You then get in to a blaming game between the two. The system has a few faults, one of the critical is that it allows you to list the same sku twice/ lists itself twice on ebay. With the new duplicate listings policy, our account has been suspended due to an item listing itself twice. Spoke to volo about this and asked it to be sent to senior management as it was so critical. We havent had an update in 18 days. Chased and got the response they were still looking into it. Their customer service and support really lets them down.

Horrific to work with. They are incapable of providing technical support, they leave tickets open for weeks & even months (even when there are mission critical faults) and when they do respond, just ask us to clarify the situation. There are good bits about the system, but there are plenty of other competitors who offer the same features for a fraction of the cost. Avoid.

On-boarding was relatively straight forward and the schedule of works maintained. In general contacts were competent and easy to work with. Sales performance was underwhelming to say the least, after a few months of frustrations from both sides a verbal refund for the on-boarding costs was offered but since refused. Unprofessional when parting ways.

I was with Volo for approximately 2 and half years, i signed up on the promise that they would help me grow my business, unfortunately that help never materialised, my business has grown but Volo cannot take any credit for that. When i first joined Volo i was paying £600 a month and that over the years went up to to between £1500-£2000 a month which really annoyed me as they were taking more and more money from me but not doing any work for it, i approached my account manager and asked him if there was anything that they could do to reduce the fees, he came back to me 3 weeks later informing me that they could not reduce the fees but that if i wanted to leave then i would have to give my notice by January, i did find that reply really arrogant. I did not have any serious intention about leaving but after receiving that email i decided to leave , after giving my notice they did not even bother contacting me to see if they could retain me as a customer so presumably are doing really well and can afford to lose revenue, I am now with Linnworks and paying £150 a month instead of thousands and i am really happy with the system, it does everything Volo does and dare i say does some things better, if you are thinking of joining Volo my sincere advise would be...never in a million years.

This company promises the world but doesn't deliver. 6 months in still not 100% live, and nothing but glitches and errors. Volo isn't 100% independent, rely on 3rd party companies to completely integrate to their system and one doesn't what the other is doing. Sites dont link correctly but gladly take your money first. Quickbook enterprise integration issues as well. 7k, 6 months, and thousands to ten's of thousands in revenue lost. Honestly feel this is going to end in a legal situation. Please don't listen to the sales people, they're just there to make the sale and dont care about the integration.

We have been an online seller for about 8 years now, have used volo for about 4 years, I looked at various software before deciding on which one and spent a lot of time on trials, there is much more choice nowadays but at the time there was not anything that did exactly what i wanted. Volo seems to do everything we wanted that others did not or others did but failed to demonstrate properly. Things such as overselling on a certain skus and ability to determine that on sku level rather than across all the skus was one the main advantages. Also the purchase order automated email at reorder points are actually better than competitors- others have reorder but none i have seen are automated. The detail in adding skus especially for amazon is pretty good, things such as browse nodes, search terms at point of inputting in software rather than going back to amazon to do which saves time. Its fair to say they are some good points. However, the bad outweighs the good in this current climate where there is a lot of competition. Firstly their price range is crazy, 1.5% with minimums of £900 a month or so is frankly ridiculous. Cloud Commerce pro, Linnworks and a few others are much much cheaper and do most things what people will want. The former is pretty close to Volo in terms of functions. So frankly they are out of range. I tried for interest sake to do a demo for my other company recently but was told they only deal with companies who do £8mill turnover so maybe things have changed in terms of pricing but generally i think for the normal medium sized marketplace seller its not value for money. second point, their customer service is absolutely the worst i have experienced. its so bad, that i remember one time when i was being hounded by channel advisor to move over, one of the sales guys informed me about a training day in Manchester. Just to explain that- a competitor was informing me about a training day held by volo (cant remember the conversation exactly- but it was along the lines of why dont you go see them and get out of your contract - they're in Manchester in 3 days). Its absolutely crazy that i had no idea they were coming when we pay so much for their software. Incidentally i did go and take it up with them, i couldn't get out of my contract but they informed me the reason they didn't inform me was because i wans't on their system. Sounds like an excuse to me and pretty bad too when you pay £1500 a month. The issues are brought up at the training day were never sorted, to this day are not. At the time they told me they will come back to me, they never did. in fact that was 3 years ago and i still use Linnworks for printing my orders because Volo has a problem when i try print through there. So i have no choice but to use another software to print orders and use volo just for listing and stock management. That comes to my next thing, you might be wondering why i didnt open a ticket, surely something so critical would need sorting. I must have had 10 or so tickets going back and fort with them about it, each time they take 1 month to 6 months to get back to you, then it doesn't get anyway or gets passed on and nothing happens or they just close it. Its ridiculous. I sent my account manager many emails about this, even texts but he never replies. When i saw Mic on the discovery days he just says oh yeah sorry, ill get it sorted i know about it, ill come back to you. Generally once you sign up and do the training they leave you to it, if you have a problem good luck, if you try contact them good luck. When i signed up they said you will get quarterly phone calls with the account manager, well in 4 years or so i never got one call from him. When i tried to ring him to go through some issues its always his busy or he will call back or he doesn't work in this office can you send an email. I dont know how so many good reviews are on this site for them, as on the training day there were a lot of negative experienced and unhappy guys, i think thats probably why they dont do it anymore, or maybe they do and never inform me. lol the actual software it self has a few issues, just small bits that if sorted or if you could contact them would be amazing. Still would not be value for money, but I think lower price and better service would really make it something great, at the moment it just seems the guys at volo take your money and run. Its incredibly hard to move software as the sku structure and data set up means that a lot of manual work is required later when you want to move so it is a big decision to get it right from the start when choosing. I recommend doing a lot of research a lot of trials with all the players and taking time to find a software thats right for you. I would say where it can improve in terms of the software itself, the java based system is good but a web based software would also be helpful or even an app. The amazon listing is hit an miss, it is in general hard to do a listing, not as easy as others, volo recommend doing the listing in amazon itself but i find that repetitive and time wasting. the whole point is to do it at one point. I have set up my own excel sheet to list, which i find does work 99% of the time so its not an issue once you know but it may take time. Its a matter of knowing what feels in volo and amazon are communication some fields in volo state its for amazon and its not but alot of playing around is what it takes. sometimes we have to change barcodes and sku names and force it to list. ebays new rules in terms of mpn and custom specifics etc.. was never really communicated to us from volo, so things like that are not an easy fix with volo when you need to change listings to fit with new rules. If they are, they were never communicated. So we had to change them in ebay, was really time consuming and then a few months later when we revised a new template of course all that work was work as we revised with volo. If we did the work in volo itself that would avoid issues like that. Again that comes down to their communication. i believe its a real shame on 2 things, their price and their service. Software it self can be improved but reasonably good. Sadly doesn't matter how good it is, eventually when theres no communication from them its time to move. If it was just me i would have thought it was a one off but sadly a lot of the guys i spoke to at the training days all seem to be in the same boat with their service. I guess people feel stuck once they start using the software as changing over is not so easy and time consuming

Before we used Volo, once we received an order, from processing the payment, to picking the product, everything was done on a manual basis and there was very little scope for multichannel selling. We effectively had to have dedicated areas for holding stock to sell on our website, for holding stock to sell on eBay, and on Amazon. There was no one solution where we could pick stock and be able to distribute it to whichever channel those orders came in from

We were founded in 2004 and came to Volo in 2010. We had been working with another company. They got taken over I think, the platform changed, and it didn't suit our business. It couldn’t do things that were critical to our business. “Once we moved over to Volo, the changeover was very quick. We did the import overnight, it just worked straight away. It was hugely impressive. Volo’s custom fields was a massive win for us. It enabled us to bring the data across from the other system much more easily. We could do bulk imports and create our own fields in Volo which the data mapped to. The upshot of all this was that we went live very quickly. I would never have believed the speed with which we switched and got proficient in the new system. It was incredible. The support through implementation helped a lot too. We had a good guy at Volo who was always on the phone when we needed him, and he helped us bang through the changeover really quickly.

From the outset it changed the way we worked, and the benefits to our staff who are in the system all day every day were instant. The customer service team loves the integrated eBay questions. They don’t have to answer questions outside Volo, and this makes it much easier to manage on a daily basis. The courier labels are all integrated too. They just press a button and the label is done. This is a huge time saver for us. The labels alone would take one person a full day to get printed and now these are all done in less than an hour. Listing is much easier and quicker too. We’ve been with Volo since April 2012. We are now a top 3 technology seller on eBay. The growth has been great and we’ve been able to improve our profitability too. In my experience, other marketplace platforms don’t do as much
as Volo. It does everything we need, and more. We know that as we continue to grow we’ll be able to grow into more of the platform as well.
