I rang up for a quote on a skip. Was told by the woman that no skips were available but she could send a luton van. It was nearly twice the price of hiring a skip. When I told her it was more than I was looking to pay she told me in a very sarcastic manner that that is what it costs to get rid of rubbish then put the phone down on me. I was completely gobsmacked by the rude and abrupt manner of the woman.

Brilliant service. Communication was great and informative. Very easy process for me, the the lads turned up in a large van,took a photo of all my items on my drive,then waited for a quote back. Which was agreed and all my wood,iron,glass,rubble and other unwated items vanished into thin air. Many thanks for a great service,and a clean drive.

A very polite and efficient service with competitive pricing. Derek was very informative and helpful about which skip would suit our needs best and about the delivery arrangements. Phoned on Saturday and all items collected on the following Tuesday. Derek was very helpful over the phone and Tom, who collected the items, was friendly and efficient. Great service and would definitely recommend.

I phoned around for quotes for a midi skip to help me clear the garden and a few bits left over from moving house. Although YRS were not the cheapest, I was intrigued by their offer to sort through everything out of the skip at their end, and recycle it. This was a great idea and was happy to pay the difference. I really did appreciate that what I threw in the skip was not going to landfill, and would be recycled so 10 out of 10 for ethical disposal. I realised I had underestimated the volume I needed and Derek at YRS was very accommodating and flexible, sending another skip the next day. The guys there were also upbeat, positive, cheerful, even funny! It was a pleasure using them and I can highly recommend.

My honest experience was a very good one. The workmen arrived promptly and went straight to work removing our furniture whilst I did my part supplying the mugs of coffee and tea! They even took away a few odd bits and pieces not in the original quote which was ideal! Would recommend and will certainly be using their services again as and when required. Big thumbs up from where I am sitting, fantastic! P.s. due to my highly critical nature, nothing gains five stars.

I called York Recycling the day before I needed a pile removed from some house renovations. They were punctual, friendly and prepared to help pitch in moving some extra bits and pieces in the pile. Will be using again.

I was unsure about whether to hire in help whilst renovating my garden but I rang round and found the York Recycling team to be friendly, flexible and reasonable in price. They booked me in within 48 hours and they cleared a huge amount of rubble and waste from my back garden without hassle. I wouldn't hesitate to use their service again! Thanks so much

I have just their services to clear a very large house that was my late fathers, it took all day. They were extremely hard working men and young lads, also very polite and courteous. I wouldn't hesitate in using them again and can highly recommend them.

I booked for a builders skip size wagon & 2 men to come and remove rubbish from my late Grandmother's house, please bear in mind that I live over 40 miles away. They were supposed to be there at 10am, I had a text saying they had problems and would be with us between 12.30 and 1pm. Needless to say they never turned up & when I phoned to find out where they were their phones were switched off. The following day I received a phone call apologising, said the driver had been given the wrong address, but the address they said they had given him was only 5 doors away, they said that he had gone there at 12.10, but given that we were stood outside waiting for them we would have seen them!!! Lies after lies. Giving them the benefit of the doubt the job was rearranged to the following day at 11.00 am, only to receive a text saying they were not going to make it until 11.30, so we again travelled 40 miles to await their arrival. So when they had not arrived by 12 I rang the driver, who was very rude, and asked how much longer & he told me 20 minutes, I said "that is not 11.30" & he said "well I am only just helping out, I will get there when I get there" a diabolical way to speak to a paying customer. We waited until 1pm & rang him again to find his phone switched off AGAIN. I really don't understand how this company is still in business, why would you rearrange a job just to not turn up again wasting not only the customers time but the fuel to travel approx 160 miles for no reason. Please do not ever trust a word they say & find someone else to use as I have had to. Regarding the reply from York Recycling - I have made no other comments, no one else has had a problem finding the correct address, I have since had 3 skips delivered ALL ON TIME!!!!!.
