I found the attention to detail in the final review and editing of my manuscript to be impressive! It was not what I expected. I have been writing for a long time, and I actually learned a lot from the corrections made and explanations for the changes. Jack was not your usual cat. He lost one eye, requiring having his eyelids on one eye sewn together. He was born with his his other eye being very cloudy, giving him very little vision. He was essentially blind, and also had very brown fur because he was malnourished. The book cover represents him perfectly in the state in which I found him, although it took about 4 tries by the illustrators to get Jack to that point. Kudos to the illustrators, and thanks from me.

Copper turned out to be gold My experience with Rushmore for the publication of my recent book has been an extremely pleasant one. The letter from Rushmore Publishers enquiring whether I had a manuscript ready for publication put me in a quandary. I did have a manuscript ready and was looking for a publisher preferably from the UK or the US, But frankly I had not heard of this publisher in India. Discreet enquiries revealed that none of my friends here knew about Rushmore. I contacted my friends in the US. One of them after a detailed search unearthed details about Rushmore. According to this friend, Rushmore did exist with a few publications to its credit. But this friend also warned that I should be very cautious in dealing with Rushmore. This was because, according to that friend, Rushmore has a habit of collecting the agreed stipend, have the cover page ready and then simply vanish from the scene. Seeds of doubt also cropped in my mind because of the fact that Rushmore approved of my manuscript within a day of receiving it Having an entrepreneurial spark in me and having a sneaking sympathy for new entrepreneurs trying to make a mark in a field with a number of already established firms, I decided to risk my neck and send you the publication stipend. It turned out to be a case of fears turning out to be liars. A lot of time was devoted to bring out a very pleasing cover design in consultation with me. Unnecessary poking of noses by copy editors to make texts convey almost the exact opposite of what the author intended was conspicuous by its absence .The author is being made to read the printed proofs with great care twice over to ensure that the book turns out to be a well-brought out one. It also has to be pointed out that the dealings of Rushmore with the author has been extremely polite and refined. I, as an author, will be only too happy to recommend Rushmore to fellow authors looking for good publishers. It is hoped that Rushmore has a good marketing team to ensure that their well-brought out products sell well too

I was very pleased with the cooperation and results to produce the book. Initially, I made some suggestions. The project was presented as a joint venture and it was handled that way. After reviewing the initial cover presentation, I made some suggestions. The response was that of a good listener and the resulting cover was excellent.
