United Kingdom | 02 May 2018I first had Smiths visit me in Jan or Feb this year (2018) I had already explained that I wasn’t having the work done until much later in the year “that’s okay” they said - our quotes are valid for a year! When the salesman visited he said “Christ I don’t know why they agreed to come out to you now - it’s wasting everyone’s time, call us nearer the time! What a waste! I then received at least 3 or 4 sales calls and again I explained I wasn’t ready to have work done until probably Sept/Oct - they were quite adamant that the quotes are valid for a year and wanted someone to come visit me and they apologised for the salesman who had visited in Jan/Feb Salesman comes to my house on Monday evening of 30 April 2018 - he is there for perhaps an hour/ hour and a half, he does the usual sales pitch and going through the motions of calling his boss (some bloke in a call centre waiting for these calls) and tried to get us some discount! We spoke about the colour of the bi folding doors; probably 6 or 7 times! He gives me a quote of and says I can have 10% discount as well - he REALY pushed for me to sign up there and then! I wouldn’t! He said the quote would be emailed to me. I received a quote via email today (2 May 2018) - the price had gone up a fiver (also there would be no discount! And let’s have it right - the quote wasn’t small!) AND the quote only valid until Saturday 5 May - 3 WHOLE DAYS!!! I called to question this and was told I had been quoted for white bi folding doors and the black would be more expensive! I asked why my quote was only for 3 days and not 12 months like I had been promised - especially as I had made it extremely clear that I wasn’t having the work done until Sept/Oct - I also asked why i had been given an incorrect price - seeing as we had clearly stated on several occasions that we wanted black! I adked why my time had been wasted and they hadn’t delivered on their promise - I got no answers at all In Summary - steer clear! They are time wasters and promise things they don’t deliver on

United Kingdom | 02 May 2018The last review I did for Smith Glass was in February and I still have exactly the same problem. My February review was to say that the Service Department was impossible to contact and the problem is still the same today. I am told by them that the only way to contact the service department is to email them but they do not reply to any emails. Apparently the Service Manager that came to see me nearly 2 months ago is no longer with the company. This is terrible service. I just need to be able to speak to someone.
