Bought one book and have been charged £15 a month ever since. I didn’t realise I’d subscribed as it wasn’t made clear. They’ve taken so much money and I’m fuming. I feel stupid for being duped but I suppose essentially it’s my own fault. You should be ashamed of yourselves as I’m sure you’re aware of what you’re doing. To be doing it throughout COVID makes it ten times worse. I hope somebody reads this and it saves them from being ripped off.

Mycket dyrköpt bok! Oerhört dåligt att det inte framgår tydligare att man vid ett köp förbinder sig till ett medlemskap som kostar 129 SEK/månad. Detta stod inte någonstans när jag genomförde köpet. Jag har inte heller fått något mejl om att ett abonnemang har skapats. Under all kritik!!

Jag fick boken på två dagar efter att jag beställde, så jag tycker att det är en väldigt bra service.

Purchased a small childrens book for my nephew back in November 2021. The price was reasonable and not out of the ordinary. Upon loosing my debit card recently I checked to see if there were any unusual transactions on my account and noticed I had been charged from Buuks.co.uk £15 OEM. I called their customer service to understand what had happened and was told I paid the members fee for the book which meant signing up to this amount each month. This, whilst mentioned on their website home page wasn’t made clear to me when purchasing this specific book (I was never on the home page) I asked the customer service rep to check if I have had any other activity on their website since, i was told no. I said I’d be willing to pay the difference in the “members” price to the standard price and even suggested being okay with being charged 1 month of the members fee as I should have checked my account sooner but wanted to see if I could be reimbursed the difference. Again i was told no. Considering I have had no emails from this company other than my proof of purchase in November, that the details weren’t made obvious to me and the company’s unwillingness to rectify the problem I advise all potential customers to give this website a miss. I have pretty much paid £90 for a small children's book worth £4.49 (sorry, that’s the membership price!) £9.99 (standard fee) Shady company, unhelpful staff.

This company is a total scam. Hides it's subscriptions. No idea how I signed up, if I did at all. DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY.

Do not make any purchase on Buuks as they cover a monthly membership fee (129 sek). I discovered and tried to understand this monthly fee on my account by contacting their support, but no answer from buuks. You have to actively remove your membership. I pay 7x129sek without even using /knowing about his membership. Really bad business strategy cheating customers. Dear Buuks, After readIng your reply, I still feel cheated. Lost 903sek for this membership fee that I wasn’t aware of. I never received any reply from your support to help me understand this monthly cost on my bank account. Good thing, I noticed this transaction on my bank account. After discussing this issue with friends , it seems that this IS your great business strategy. They also felt for your offers and this is why your Trustpilot grade is SO low. Hope to never see Buuks closing business. I will continue my quest to make people aware of this SCAM. Still really really ANNOYED!

Do not make a purchase from this company. The company works on a subscription basis which is not clear at the start. You will be charged £15 per month without knowing. You will not receive a separate email explaining what is happening and/or your entitled 14day cooling off period 'Your consumer right to a cooling-off period for goods and services purchased at a distance comes from the Consumer Contracts Regulations'. You will see the same response given every time by this company which is thematic and disingenuous unapologetic. This company is likely to meet its match with a case before Trading Standards and the Court.

For 5 consecutive months, I have been charged 15 pounds each month just because I bought one book from them back in February and only noticed it now, lost over 100 pounds for no reason. BOOK SHOP THAT ROBS ITS CUSTOMERS, NOT A GOOD LOOK.

Instämmer helt med andra köpare. Bedrägeri och ful marknadsföring . Köp aldrig aldrig något hos detta företag . Mycket otydlig info om att man blir medlem automatiskt. Har aldrig fattat detta och tydligen godkänd medlemskapet. Köpte en bok för 126kr som i slutändan kostade mig nästan 500kr ! Skandal, har försökt prata med kundtjänsten dock utan framgång. De är iskalla och ofrivilliga till all återbetalning . Är så förbannad .

De påstår att jag blivit medlem där och sen dragit pengar från mitt konto i flera månader. Jag har dock valt icke medlems-alternativet när jag beställt där.

SCAM SCAM SCAM every review is true! Unbelievable this company is using my details to take £15 out of my account up to a year later. I politely requested a refund & Customer Services slammed the phone down on me and I have received a series of emails with their SCAMMER excuses! Stay away from these criminals. Absolutely disgusting! Update regarding the company response below 👇 Nothing they have stated is true. You are not made aware that you are not merely buying a book but in fact as they say signing up to allowing them to debit money from your account monthly. Furthermore if you ring the customer service number they provide they are patronising and lie to deflect from the fact that it is a scam. As they have done in their deluded response to my warning to others.

I would give no stars. This company is out to scam you- I hadnt noticed the £15 membership fee for nothing that I hadnt agreed to! This is awful- and apparently they are getting loads of people with it. DONT USE THIS COMPANY.

Jag har blivit grundlurad precis som många andra av ert företag. Lurad att ingå avtal om att vara med i er "bokklubb". Nu har jag äntligen insett att ni dragit pengar från mitt konto varje månad olovligen. Pengar som skulle gått till min och min fyraåriga dotters semester. Pengar som jag vill ha tillbaka av er genast. Ni är välkomna att kontakta mig (ni hittar ju mailadressen via ordernumret) för att ge mig mina ca 500 SEK tillbaka. Med vänlig hälsning, ensamstående mamma som bara ville köpa en bok för att bli en bättre förälder. Tack. Ska bli kul att lägga tid på anmälan till polisen samt konsumentverket för vilseledande marknadsföring/oskälig avtalsvillkor. Skäms på er.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I purchase one book and then got signed onto a subscription of £15 pcm I have only recently noticed that this fee has been withdrawn. This is definetly a scam, why would anyone want to sign upto paying £15 pcm with no real benefit, avoid at all costs.

När jag beställde min kok skulle jag få den om fyra fem dagar, det lät bra, två dagar senare fick jag den. Toppen!!!!
