Received phone call following day to inform us item was not available (despite to this day website still advertising item as available) and they recommended another brand at the same cost to us. We agreed only after they assured us item was new stock as per what we purchased. Waited for delivery, only to be disappointed when item was discovered to be second hand display stock, scratched and marked and not all of the components were supplied (remote, mounting brackets, installation manual missing). Phoned customer service to be informed that it was display stock and that they would find replacement components. We requested a new unit, only to be informed that there were none available and only display stock were left (a disclosure of that would have been nice online, and for customer service to have informed us of this fact before assuring us it was new stock...). After not willing to pay full price for an item that was second hand and incomplete, they cancelled our order and said they would arrange collection of unit and refund our money (refund only available after unit is collected). Still waiting on collection of item so we can receive our refund... terrible service, item not supplied as promised and inconvenienced.

United States | 18 April 2019It's a shame the stores are closing because I have always liked Radio Rentals. I have always been able to get what I needed because of the way things can be paid for. It's a lot easier to manage than paying all at once. The sales people are always friendly and helpful, especially at Mt. Barker.

Australia | 15 April 2019Quite possibly the company with the rudest customer service staff I’ve ever come across. Have you ever come across a company that has its customer service staff send you sms messages asking you when you’ll be making a payment on your account? I receive a reminder email if I accidentally miss a payment and am given a date to make payment by - great! Yet here I am, 10 days before that date and some child in their customer service department is harassing me by text message. Also, they have an automated call service where if your payment is late they JUST KEEP RINGING YOU. I mean, at the moment, I’m receiving 12 calls a day. And I just had someone knock on my front door because I am $49 overdue - meaning, due to a public holiday and my pay not going in, the direct debit bounced back. Avoid this company at all costs. I should have done more research before I signed up because now I’m stuck in a contract with these thieves and I’ll be paying quadruple what this product is worth and at the end of it they’re still expecting me to pay it out so I own it. Thieves!

Australia | 09 April 2019I am currently renting a laptop through radio rentals. The first laptop I started renting which I was told would be what I need for uni was $1500. I found out 2 weeks later that the laptop I was instructed to buy from the staff member was much more powerful than I needed and so I went back to the store to discuss. The sales person that sold it to me refused to say that she told me to buy it and that it was my decision. I then had to fight the manager to let me get out of the contract which he flat out refused to do. He was rude and condescending and basically treated me as though I was stupid. I have never been treated so badly to the point that I was crying and the manager showed no compassion whatsoever. I am extremely disappointed with your service and would NEVER again purchase anything through radio rentals. Being a young person I would have been able to offer many years of customer loyalty, but after this experience I will never go there again! To top it off I get a reminder of my experience every month when the direct debit comes out of my account.

Australia | 09 April 2019My only complaint is in relation to the way the billing is set up and the overall costs of renting. I was with R/Rentals before and they used the old a/c no. when I reapplied, which meant they used the same specific monthly date for payment. The day I came in was the 6th of the month which was the 'due date' last time I was with them. So when I put my first rental pyt through on Monday 8th, I rang to get an email address and the accounts people told me I needed to pay an extra pyt on top of what I paid or I'd be getting overdue notices. In effect, I had up to the 6th May to sort out the discrepancy. My mthly pyt due is $90.70, so I had to come up with another $45.35, meaning by the 1st month of my rental I had to pay $136.05! Yikes!

Put 6month old laptop into be fixed because it crashed all that was done was factory reset and the day I got it home again it crashed exactly the same way. It went back and once again they were going to factory reset even though tech had already said if it happened again it would need a new hard drive. It took threatening consumer affairs for anything to happen. Will never purchase another computer from them again. Previous brand new computer wouldn’t even turn on when we got home with it they repaired instead of just replacing

Australia | 02 April 2019The staff at Gepps Cross, especially Chris and management, went above and beyond to correct a previous oversight and to keep us happy. The oversight was quickly corrected and we went away once again glad that we had chosen Radio Rentals to do business with. Now it is a wait and see whether we get the refund that is due to us. I would like to add that if you have concerns or are not happy with the product that has bee sold/rented to you then go back and speak to staff in store and they will fix it for you, they did for me.
