Originally ordered the Elite3 but was told that it was out of stock for at least 6 weeks - helpful customer services talked through the pros & cons of the Elite3 and the Excel, and either waiting or they could immediately deliver the Excel. Glad I took their advice - set-up is easy and using it is simple. After repeated uses, the readings appear accurate and in line with expectations. Some conflicting instructions from the manual and the screen e.g. 10 mins or 30 mins wait before testing, and the Data Manager upgrade process is repeatedly prevented by PC firewall despite opening settings.

Well made, simple to operate but slightly confusing as the displayed figure on the device doesn't match up with the usual figures you'd see for Blood Alcohol Content. In the UK, the drink drive limit is 0.08% BAC - on the device this is shown as 0.8% ???

The Lite 2 unit only displays BAC (Blood Alcohol) units, not breath units, and setting it is very difficult. However, the company clearly took a 3 star review seriously, and contacted me to discuss things. I wasn't eye-wateringly happy with the result, but their customer service reaction moves the rating up 1 star. IF I buy another unit (which will cost more money) to meet my requirements, I will do a further review.

always had one an "elite" and used it whenever in doubt. its surprising how late in the morning you can test yourself and still fail! especially when the night has gone on and you may feel you have had a evenings drinking separated by a night sleep. but that night sleep may have been only a few hours and the "one for the road" will still be in your blood. my elite worked for years without issue. only a couple of days ago it got stuck on "blow" so would not give a reading it was a case i feel ok but slightly different so i just wasn't happy to take the change (never take the chance its not worth it my friend did and even though he wasn't responsible for the road traffic accident  because a child was injured both drivers were tested HE failed and now will lose his job ,insurance will be astronomical ,and the stigma that goes with losing your licence through drink driving ,last a lot longer that the one year driving ban and the ten years of heightened insurance premiums .losing your licence it will last a lifetime! I used the the great "upgrade" offer on the "alco sence" website where my faulty elite went back for a discount on a "Pro" havent had to use it yet but the december random police checks will be starting in december and as mentioned its not worth taking the chance

had the elite two for two years decided to up grade rather than re calibrate as the screen was only half visible happy with set up

Glad to have bought this breathalyser very easy to use and understand. Have used 2 cheaper ones in the past and tested against each other but started to get different readings so made this big upgrade.

AlcoSense Excel just arrived, smart, neat and so easy to set up, giving me peace of mind. Great product.

Tried this morning as didn't want to walk to work and it said Lo so was happy to take car as it was raining cats and dogs

Extremely pleased with my new AlcoSense, it’s very accurate and extremely easy to use. Discovered mouthpiece tube goes in at a slight downward angle. Would definitely recommend

An absolutely life changing product. Takes the stress out of the morning after the night before! Simple to use, easy to interpret and best of all, affordable! Have found the readings to be accurate and I carry it with me wherever I go if I am expecting to be driving.

I recently bought the Alcosense Excel Digital Breathalyser. Love this product. So easy to set up and use. Clear instructions and clear guidelines. No "BS" you need to give 90 mins for an accurate reading but 30 mins is doable. Getting into a car after drinking is a grown up's business. You need to make the right decisions and make sure you are safe and legal. This device does that !! Small compact and well finished. LCD with clear instructions, Slide to open with an elegant fluent action. The perfect gadget on it's own. Love it ! Easily up to Police standards and will keep you of trouble.

Just upgraded from an Excel to a Pro - both excellent products but the Pro has a few more features & the Excel was quite old. Brilliant products & excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.

Steve GG - Just wished I had discovered product this 7 days ago now facing a ban & a great deal of regret. Alcosense Excel very easy to set up and use the good news two readings this morning both green. So that gives peace of mind to me and other motorists.

Ordered via Amazon, quick delivery and nicely packaged. I half expected to hear a number of expletives from my husband when setting it up (he’s all fingers and thumbs) but was quietly surprised when I heard him doing his first test. He likes a drink at the weekend and has always been nervous of going to work on a Monday morning and he also drives a forklift so this now gives him the added piece of mind.

Straightforward purchase from Halfords. Bought this to have peace of mind as I drive around the UK for a living. Straight forward to set up with clear instructions and very simple to use. Exceptional value! Would definitely recommend!

This is my second Alcosense product. I upgraded to the Alcosense Pro and am impressed with the ease of use right out of the box. My older device, the Elite, needed calibrating to start off with, which requires messing about with white wine. The Alcosense pro is much easier. I like the blow graphic, which is also easier to manage than the Elite. Both are fi for purpose but these need to be easy to use and I am very happy with my decision to upgrade.

Now on my third Alcosense unit over the years and have used their recalibration service many times. These are quality devices. There is simply no other way to tell you are safe to drive the morning after consuming a lot of alcohol. I take it with me all the time.

I had sent my Alcosense Elite 3 for recalibration (puchased in February 2020) and was sent a brand new Alcosense Excel back in replacement. I find it very easy to use and yes it took slightly longer than normal to return (possibly due to them trying to recalibrate my old unit without joy) however I cannot fault their product or service.

I was hit by a drink driver some years ago and ended up with long term injuries. But then I also thought maybe that could have been me driving over the limit the morning after a heavy night so I bought an alcoSSense pro. Put simply, this has saved myself, my friend and family numerous times, its always the mornings when you think, "I'm ok, just a bit tired" and then you look at the readout and instantly put the car keys down. Excellent bit of Kit and worth every penny.
