United Kingdom | 26 November 2019I was so close to giving up breastfeeding my 6 week old and felt so disappointed as it has always been something I felt passionate about and really wanted to do. I’m so pleased I reached out to Karen! She has been so supportive and has provided me with real practical advice that has enabled me to continue to breastfeed. Couldn’t be happier highly recommend! Thanks Karen!

United Kingdom | 21 November 2019Karen was a god send!! I had my baby two weeks early and I could not get him to eat enough and at his 3 day midwife visit he had lost weight. I had made a commitment to breastfeeding, but was at a loss when it came to giving my baby enough to eat. I was a sleep deprived first time mother that was terrified I was starving my baby. I thought I could do it on my own but quickly realised I needed help. My midwife recommended Karen and I called her one morning in tears. She was at my house ready to help just a couple hours later. Her time spent with me was the best money I ever spent on my baby. She put my mind at ease and gave me back my confidence. She stayed with me until I felt sure of my ability to breastfeed and she covered all the bases. She showed me how to help my baby latch and she showed me how to put together and use my breast pump. She was sweet, understanding and incredibly empathetic. She had all sorts of advice and tips, all of which I used. I also felt like I could call her with any questions and she continued helping me over the phone with questions that popped up. I was able to breastfeed and my son became a very healthy weight and thrived. I have recommended Karen to my friends who are new moms and she had been able to help them as well. I am so grateful that I was able to breastfeed my son and I really enjoyed it. It was so important for his health and was a wonderful way to bond. I can’t thank Karen enough for her skill and compassion.

United Kingdom | 18 November 2019My husband and I met Karen in April 2018 and immediately we knew we wanted to work with her. She has so much experience with babies and really helped us with weaning our little one Nelly. Karen gave us brilliant practical advice, things like instead of peeling and chopping a pear to cook for Nelly, to just put the whole thing in a pan with a little water and let it simmer, then mash it so it kept all its goodness! We had never thought of that. She covered everything we wanted to know about how to do baby-led weaning and answered all of our questions and more. We had her come over to our flat several times when we were living in Hackney. I can’t thank Karen enough for her expertise and experience. It made the whole process of weaning really easy and even all the mess was bearable! So it is without hesitation that i whole heartedly recommend Karen to any mum with breastfeeding issues or weaning issues or just for advice and support. Thank you again Karen and good luck with your venture. Love Andria Stirling, Jamie and Nelly. x

United Kingdom | 16 November 2019I really struggled with breastfeeding to begin with. However Karen's visits made all the difference. She was absolutely brilliant. I was having difficulty to begin with and couldn't imagine breastfeeding for longer than the first few weeks. However, thanks to Karen, I was still breastfeeding waypast six months. I would recommend Holding The Baby to any mum's struggling with breastfeeding.
