The course was well put together, and easy to follow - the animations helped explain the concepts visually and were really useful. The assessment was a fair test of knowledge without being over burdensome and the assessor was friendly and responsive to questions.

YM Ocean Educational material was very good. I was also happy with quick email replies I'm glad that I booked the online version of the YMO course so I could work in my own (slow) pace. Diesel course for free is also a big plus! Good value for money! Strongly recommend!

I'm very new to sailing and the theory that goes with that, I highly recommend this course for a number of reasons. The fantastic staff and the way they guide and supported me in learning the parts I found very challenging to learn and remember, phone and email support were both quick and informative. Course materials online and paper based were issued almost instantly, although I did buy some of the books as I like to write notes all over them! The structure of the course was logical and I really enjoyed working through the different modules at a time and pace suitable for me. The information shared was well written and delivered in an engaging way. The final assessment instructions were very clear and well structured; and I have a lifetime access to the course theory post completion of the assessment. I am very happy with this choice of course and course provider, navathome were incredibly supportive and professional, highly recommended.

Unless you are an experienced mariner, the course will require focus and more time than you allow. Set aside time to focus and work through the course with out time pressures. It will take you more than 40 hours as a beginner and new to some of the elements. It is an excellent course with immediate support and back-up. Highly recommended and can be completed in your own time, anytime of the day or day of the week. Detailed, plenty of support documentation and at the end of the course and exam you really will have a good grasp of what is required to be a competent, safe and a considerate sailor/motor boater.
