I must speak as I find. Phoenix sent Lee to fetch our old boy, and he couldn’t have been more helpful, respectful, kind or gentle. We truly felt we had been able to say our final goodbye as we wished. The company have contacted me by phone too, and the person I spoke to was helpful, polite and sympathetic.

Please be very careful using this company. We sadly lost our rabbit unexpectedly November last year. I booked for her to be collected and was very reassured when Marcus arrived promptly and compassionately to take her away for cremation. He was extremely professional at a sad time. Unfortunately following this initial very positive experience, we have not revieved the commemorative photo and paw print we ordered.I contacted the company only to recieve one curt email in response highlighting how i must be more smpathetic to how busy they had been over Christmas. I have since contacted again and have still not recieved a response or my item. Unfortunately during this time our elderly dog passed away, and thankfully we arranged cremation via a different company. We had a prompt service, receiving our ashes and memorial print within 10 days. Everything you would hope to expect at the most difficult time. So please, have some caution in choosing this company. It remains to be seen if our memorial print will ever arrive.

I would just like to thank all those at PCS in Northampton for the speedy and caring way in which they dealt with the passing of my beloved schnauzer Max. The casket he came back to me in was tasteful and beautifully presented. Many thanks.

I would give this company no stars if I could! Most of their receptionists are rude, if you can get them to answer the phone at all! Their customer services leave a lot to be desired and Paul Taylor didn’t leave me reassured either after promising to call me back and not doing so. The cremation for my little girl was booked through my vets, but I had to deal with the company after they sent her ashes back in the wrong size vessel, and they even put the wrong date on the cremation certificate! They are unhelpful and I have told my vet that when anything happens to my other dogs I don’t want them to use this company as they are uncaring.

Our beloved cat Wally passed away recently and we arranged for a cremation and Woodland Scatter Tube through our local vet. Within 2 weeks a very well packaged parcel arrived (via our Vet Surgery) with a sealed scatter tube containing his ashes, a set of inked paw prints, a small tube containing some of his fur, as well as a 'With Sympathy' note from the company. We were only expecting the ashes so the additions we thought were a nice touch. All of this was also reasonably priced. With many thanks for your empathy and attention to detail

This five star review is about Sleepy Hollow in Cross Hands in Carmarthenshire run by Mike Watts and his wife, Pauline. When we lost our Pembrokeshire Corgi, Toby in 2019 while receiving inpatient care overnight at Carmarthen Veterinary Hospital, it was Mike who drove to pick up poor Toby for cremation and we collected his ashes in a wooden casket kept in our bedroom. It was first class service provided with dignity, kindness and professionalism! Sadly, our tricoloured Pembrokeshire Corgi, Tudor, only 7 years old, succumbed to his 2nd attack of immunosuppressant disease, having successfully been treated the first time in May this year, lasting four months! Tudor was back to his happy self, playing with his 4 year old, Gitto, a miniature Jack Russell with no food aggression whatsoever, travelling everywhere with us! Tudor’s 2nd attack with immunosuppressant disease returned with a vengeance, killing him despite immediate veterinary treatment ! He was cremated today at Sleepy Hollow with the same highest standards pet owners could wish for! Tudor’s ashes in an ornate wooden casket now lies next to his predecessor, Toby in our bedroom like a shrine in their memories.

A completely devastating phone call. After the heartbreaking conversation with our vet about now being the time to say goodbye, I rang PCS to enquire about next steps. Just a simple, we'd like to have her cremated with you, what are the next steps in arranging. The response was an abrupt 'we don't deal with your vet.' (Our vet confirmed that they in fact do and couldn't understand that response). Following that, I was then told 'The best we can do is Thursday, we're stacked', in the most abrupt, uninterested voice. He seemed annoyed I was lost for words, and he hung up immediately after I said 'OK, thank you' (I didn't know what else to say). Your customer base is 100% grieving pet owners and yet you cannot muster a single shred of compassion. The man I spoke to earlier today (around 5:30pm) is in the wrong job. I've had more compassion in sorting out a utility bill. The crematorium was PCS St.Francis in Cornwall.

My gorgeous little pug Woody was sadly laid to rest in the vets on 30/01/2023, I wanted him cremated and his pawprints in the sand like picture frames which all could be arranged. The vet used Pet Cremation Services in Leyland. The lady on the phone was so lovely and helpful as I also wanted to purchase the silver pendants with his paw print on but the vets could not take payment for this as they are only online and not on their system yet so I was told someone would call me up. I rang up early the next day and beat the lady to it as I just wanted it all paid for so I could settle. The lady was so helpful and took payment she spoke of woody with such empathy. My baby's ashes arrived at the vet today and I am overwhelmed by the package so beautiful with an amazing card I cried when I opened it and saw the words, my boy is back home now and I can't thank Pet Cremation services enough. They say they will call me when the pendants are ready and send them to either my home address or the vet's. Thank you so much xxx

After helpful initial phone communications, we were absolutely disappointed in their service. We agreed to pick up our beloved pet dog from the Northampton crematorium for private cremation elsewhere. There was no empathy shown in our time of distress. Our pet was simply handed over like a piece of meat, like a frozen turkey. No sympathy shown whatsoever and no attempt to ensure he was handed over in a thoughtful and respectful manner. Disgusting. I can not understand how they can provide this kind of customer interaction given they are dealing with owners (and pets) in times of distress. I dread to imagine what their service is like behind the scene without any direct customer interaction. In our experience, I would not recommend them for a dignified service.

Awful service. Upon unboxing the urn containing the ashes of my cat I found that the seal was broken, the ashes immediately began to pour out of the urn on to the floor. There is absolutely no way that whoever put the urn together did not know that the seal was broken it was obvious. Absolutely no care and attention given. Will never use again.

The engraving on the urn plaque had really stupid mistakes. One was the death date, which was wrongly engraved a month in the future! How can one even make a mistake like that. Wasn’t proof read at all. For such a sensitive thing you’d expect much higher standards. And a word missing from the sentence. It’s so hurtful to receive an urn of your loved pet poorly done. Makes you feel uncomfortable about the cremation service having not been trustworthy. There should be no mistakes at all! It’s very stressful to think that you’ll have to return your pet in the urn for the engraving to be corrected. Once you have them back there’s no way on earth you want to let go again. On top of that, when i called them about it, they weren’t apologetic and empathetic AT ALL. So unprofessional. No apologies. No “oh that shouldn’t of happened”…in any business there would always automatically be apologies and compensation for irresponsible mistakes in the service so I’m shocked there wasn’t here. Shows poor respect for the death of animals as i doubt this would happen with human burials. I asked why it happened and they just said “oh human error”. That’s not good enough, the person that did it should be fired, and i should of had a refund to compensate for the stress and at the very least apologies, which I didn’t.

At the beginning of the month we sadly faced the sudden passing of our 15 year old dog. Her cremation was organised via our vets to the East Boldon branch of Pet Cremation Services. Her ashes were quickly returned in our choice of a carved wooden casket and accompanied by certification of individual cremation. Although a very sad occasion the whole process was very tastefully completed including the packaging used to return. I was a little concerned, whilst waiting for her ashes to be returned to read some of the poor reviews on here. However I can only conclude that there are actually 14 branches and I can only speak from my experience of the East Boldon branch. I also note that some of these reviews relate to the peak of the Covid pandemic when even human funerals were adversely affected. PCS unfortunately would appear to not address any negative reviews on TrustPilot.

We took our beloved frenchie for individual cremation last week. We were treated with respect and kindness. They laid him out in the chapel so we could say one last goodbye. At all times, the staff were fabulous. They made a really tough job, bearable. Lovely rooms to sit in and a good toilet to use after our journey

Last year when our pet Millie died .. my husband dealt with this sad time . And says the company couldn’t have been more than lovely .. the farewell room was lovely and Hilda was more than compassionate .. (seems terrible that two reviews give you such a bad rating and puts people off .. and I think with covid rules being involved with one of the reviews it’s particularly unfair as even human burials were completely disrupted ) Mille was returned in a beautiful little box with a fresh white rose .. can’t fault the service and incidentally had to keep asking for the account as that wasn’t thrust in your face immediately with many companies ..Raymond and morven Kerr

My Mum booked an appointment on Wednesday for our beloved dog to be cremated on Friday. We arrived for our appointment to find building work was been carried out. We had not been advised about this when the appointment had been made. When we arrived we went into the office and the building had been gutted and alot of builders inside. My Mother and I were so confused we just stood there. Then a woman approached us and very abruptly told us to get out and said what are you doing here. I said for our dog to be cremated and she said well get outside as you cannot be in here because of Covid. My Mother and I went outside and waited for around five minutes for her to come out. We were both so confused that maybe we were in the wrong place. Then a guy with a trolley came around the corner and just stood in the car park. He did not speak to us, then the woman came out and said were is the dog. I said in the back of the car and the guy put her in the trolley. Then the woman told us to say are farewells. I asked her if we could have our pet taken to the Farewell Room which is mentioned on the web site and she said no because of Covid but I think because of the building work there isn't one. We had to say goodbye to our pet in the car park in the cold and wet with both of these two watching us. Not very personal. The lady was clearly stressed and was very abrupt with us both the whole time. There is no compassion and they are extremely unprofessional. Our experience here was so upsetting and I really wish we had never gone here. When we arrived home we talked about the distressing experience we both had and we decided to call the crematorium to collect our pet and take her somewhere else. We spoke to the same lady we saw and she told us it was too late as our dog had already been cremated. I told her of my concerns and we should have been told when we booked the appointment and she just continued to talk over me and would not listern to me. I 100% do not recommended you take your beloved pet here. They are totally unprofessional and have no empathy for your lose. We were devastated to lose our pet but this has made the experience even sadder and the woman did not even apologise for our distressing time.
