VC acknowledged their mistake and now refusing to pay for the item. Also Management Avoiding to deal with difficult cases as plague!! Sad!!! United States | 21 December 2024I recently purchased a pair of Valentino Garavani heels from Vestiaire Collective, and it has been the worst shopping experience I’ve ever encountered. The shoes turned out to be not only unwearable but also dangerously hazardous. Upon trying the shoes, I immediately realized how unstable they were. They caused me to fall multiple times, even just standing in them to take photos for customer service. I was shocked that such an unsafe item could be sold on a platform that claims to vet its sellers and products. The seller’s listing failed to disclose how unbalanced and unfit the shoes were for wear. When I contacted customer support to report this issue, I was told that since the item “matched the pictures and description,” they couldn’t accept a return. What they failed to acknowledge is that the hazard and instability of these shoes cannot be discerned from photos alone. To make matters worse, the representative suggested I relist the dangerous shoes on the platform, essentially passing on this unsafe product to another unsuspecting buyer. This solution is not only unethical but shows a complete lack of accountability from Vestiaire Collective. As a loyal customer who trusted this platform, I am appalled by their response. Instead of prioritizing customer safety and satisfaction, they’re asking me to fix their oversight by reselling the shoes myself. I would never recommend Vestiaire Collective to anyone after this experience. Their lack of customer care, failure to ensure product safety, and inability to resolve this issue in a responsible manner have completely destroyed my trust in their platform. If you value your safety and expect ethical practices from a company, stay far away from Vestiaire Collective. This was an expensive purchase, and I am left with a product I can neither use nor ethically sell. It’s unacceptable. I will be reporting this issue to consumer protection agencies and spreading awareness to warn others. Buyer beware—this platform does not prioritize your safety or satisfaction.
