Excellent place and a very good people.love it

My wife and I just finished a 13-day tour (June 3-15) with Andean Adventures Peru and it was just fabulous, truly inspiring. We decided to book it in February, knowing we would be vaccinated and hopeful to beat the rush of returning tourists as sites started to reopen in Peru. We couldn’t have pulled this off without Stephen and Evelyn. Their local knowledge and planning allowed us to successfully navigate the initial hurdles due to changing Covid restrictions. Once we hit the ground, the trip was absolutely flawless. We started out in Cusco with Ernesto (one of the most professional, passionate, and knowledgeable guides we have ever had), visiting Sacred Valley, Rainbow mountain, hiked the last leg of the Inca trail to Sungate, and finally Machu Picchu. There might have been 200 people at Rainbow mountain and 500 at Machu Picchu (it was like having it to ourselves). We then flew to Puerto Maldonado, took a boat ride down the Tambopata river and spent two nights at their Tambopata Ecolodge. It was the perfect way to experience the Amazon rainforest, completely unique and authentic in every way. Finally, we spent a few days touring Lima where they helped arrange our required covid test required for reentry into the US. While Covid has taken a heavy toll on tourism in Peru, we felt safer there than we do sometimes in our home state (everyone wears a mask in group settings). If you’re even considering it, we highly recommend booking Peru this year before the crowds return to pre-Covid levels and based on our experience, I feel an obligation to recommend this company to anyone considering a similar journey. You will get a highly knowledgeable and personalized Peruvian experience.
