I.T star bishopstown in cork are only scam artists. I brought a phone in for a screen repair and had to go back to them 5 times and it’s still not right. So I’m going to bring it to people who actually know what they’re doing.

If you’re thinking of buying AirPods from here DONT DO IT!!! I bought AirPods from them today and the sound quality is absolutely horrible,sounds so muffled ,both noise cancellation and transparency mode don’t work. Better off buying from the Apple Store themselves!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM IT STAR. I recently purchased an item from their shop in the Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre. The item failed to work after 5 weeks. On returning to the IT Star shop, I was "advised" that IT Star only give a 1 month warranty on their "products" (except on phones) and they refused to do anything (under EU law, a retailer is legally obliged to honour a warranty on electrical items for 2 years - under Irish law, its 6 years!) IT Star is selling junk to people and then refuses to honour legally-bound warranties. These guys are chancers and the source of their stock is dubios. Do yourself a favour and NEVER buy from IT Star.

Can't recommend enough. The products are a little expensive but the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable, and even offered a discount when I was a little short making a big purchase, so kind and helpful

I Bought a pair of Apple airpods back in June and went on holidays for 2 weeks with them. Out of no where on the third day they stopped working. The left earbud dint work and the case stopped connecting to my phone. The airpods were absolutely broken and useless. I went back in after my holiday and explained the issue and told me to come back 4 days later to see the manager. I came back and he changed the airpod case for me but not the buds but i told him that the left earbud was not working. I left with the new case because he showed me it had been working in the shop. About 3 days later again the case breaks down and the left earbud stops working. I went back in to complain again and to get a refund. The manager was so rude and refused to give me refund or exchange for a new pair. He told me that it was my fault and kept repeating for me to either get out or get the customer service to come in. I am absolutely appalled at this service. It geniuely shocked me how rude the manager was to a customer who had obviously been sold a fake product. I recommend for no one to go to this store.

Bought a phonecase for my father on father's day from the on in Balbriggan. Broke into two peices. Brought back to store, got another one. Magnet broke. Very poor quality phonecase and is definitely a scam. I do not recommend buying wallet cases from them.

They sell fake Apple earphones at a premium of €35, don’t waste your money and go elsewhere like newpaddy that’s across the road

I went in to the Stephens Green shop with a cell phone that was draining its battery rapidly, didn't receive texts or emails, and generally was on the fritz. The people there were really helpful, updated software, checked hardware, checked the sim card, and all they asked in return was this review. The phone is working perfectly again. As a visitor to Ireland, I was vulnerable to bad actors, but they were great. Many thanks and highest recommendation.

I had an iPhone battery replaced and the new one had worse battery life than the one they replaced. I went back but the sales guy just gave me the line about having Bluetooth and WiFi switched on which was draining the power. I’ve thrown €90 away on something that was worse than what I had. AVOID THIS PLACE

I got new AirPods from here and they worked perfectly, really affordable such a nice gift for someone especially for someone’s birthday, the employees were so kind and helpful. 100% recommend 😊

Well done to the staff in IT Star in Tullamore. Both sales assistants, Nick and Caitlin, were super helpful and friendly. I had an issue with a tablet that I was struggling to get resolved and they really were so accommodating. They didn’t rush me or make me feel like I was being an inconvenience which was the case in a different shop. Whilst there I had a look around and the shop was well stocked and tidy. Thank you both for your help. I will definitely be back in the future.

DO NOT GO TO I.T star in balbriggan!!!!! I went to this store 2 weeks ago and asked can my back camera be replaced. They told me to come back as they needed to order the parts. I then called in one evening and they told me to come back as the technician was not in the store, to come back on the Wednesday. When I came back on the Wednesday they told me the technician was on her lunch to come back in 5 minutes, I came back 15 minutes later and she still wasn’t back, they told me to come back the following day. When I called back (today) the lady serving me told me to wait for the technician once again and it will take an hour to get my phone back. The technician was came back and was very rude and was serving other customers while serving me. She told me to leave my phone number and to come back two hours later. I called back two hours later and the technician and another girl that was working there were sitting down eating a pizza and told me they couldn’t fix my phone to call back after Christmas. They never had the decency to call me and tell me they cannot fix my phone. Service here was absolutely dreadful and I will make sure to tell my friends and family NOT to come here.

AVOID this place! They will charge you for the breathing on their premises. I wanted screen protector for my phone, they offered me first „best” silicon option, without checking it cover front camera. Then blamed me I should say it.. I back to the store after they confirmed they have another cover, fitted for my phone. However it wasn’t right size, after they applied screen protector, my phone case didn’t fit, so the sale lady tried to push me to buy new phone case. She wasn’t happy when I said no. She got another protector, and tried to charge me additional money for it. On top of that this protector survived two weeks… very poor quality and not best example of customer service

fixed my cracked phone screen in under 20 minutes for the small sum of 65 euro. It looks like brand new, very satisfied.

I went in last week to buy a laptop and choose the one I wanted so found a member of staff in order to make the purchase. The first staff member took the laptop off display and brought it behind the counter to remove the sticker with the price tag and specs, somehow while doing this he managed to leave with no explanation that someone else was going to serve me and a second staff member continued preparing the laptop. The new staff member then walked out onto the shop floor and started to serve a completely different customer, leaving me abandoned at the counter, while someone else behind the counter just stood there. Eventually after about five minutes minutes he returned to serve me, however at this stage realised they didn’t have the charger for the laptop so started trying to find it, after several minutes faffing about with someone else who worked there he took out of a box a power supply which was obviously not the manufacturers own one. Being conscious about the risks of using generic accessories I questioned about the charge and was told they couldn’t find the original but (and this was the highlight of my experience) they would sell me a different charger, so not only did they not have original charger but they wanted to charge me even more to buy a different charger. At this stage I left, which to be honest is a shame as I’m still without a laptop!

I spent 120€ to repair my Apple Watch 2 months ago, and now it’s broken again. Really bad service. Don’t go there.

Purchased a pair of Apple Earpods for my brother which were €30, mind you they are actually €19 on the official Apple website, as I needed the headphones that day. Was a bit shocked by the price but didn’t think much of it. Two weeks in and my brother has complained that they emitted static noise and other sound issues, then finally snapped at the lightning connector. Surprisingly enough the EarPods are actually fake as the manufacturer serial number and tags were made up. The tag literally says “Designed by pple” not “Apple”. Build quality is poor and was an obvious sign it was fake. Will not buy from here again as I not only got ripped off but also sold a counterfeit product.

I was recommended to IT Star by a friend. My 2015 MacBook was showing a battery error. The guys replaced the battery and all appeared to be well. However, a few weeks later it refused to boot up. I went back to the guys and they identified a problem in the motherboard. Since the laptop had been with them for the battery issue, they addressed this in a very comprehensive manner. I am very satisfied with the service from IT Star and have recommended them to others.

Bought a brand new Iphone in this shop, paid in cash and now I'm seeking help with warranty and they can NOT help me with that. Deplorable after sale customer service. AVOID this place
