United Kingdom | 22 December 2024Disappointing. We took a one hour private dance class in their "inbuilt studio" which was their flat. Tsvetan asked us to rearrange our lesson because of another booking and still left 10 minutes early. Quite unprofessional.

United Kingdom | 17 August 2024Update your website! It says you have 5 stars on Trustpilot, but you only have a 3.4.

United Kingdom | 05 July 2024I attended a taster session at this dance company, hoping for a warm and friendly reception. Unfortunately, the receptionist was quite rude and seemed more interested in chatting with a colleague than providing me with any information or direction. The dance studio itself lacks mirrors and felt more like a run-down school hall rather than a proper space for dance lessons. The class was mediocre, and it seemed more focused on maximising profit than on the dancers' enjoyment. Additionally, Marky Marky was very pushy about enrolling in the next class, which made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, there was a noticeable lack of passion for dance, and it felt more like a money-making operation.

United Kingdom | 01 July 2024My girlfriend and I did a private couples salsa lesson at Salsa Tropical. It was amazing! Tsvetan made us feel comfortable from the start. We really liked his teaching style and we were able to progress quickly during the two hours session. We learned a lot, while having fun at the same time! We will definitely come back and do more private classes with Salsa Tropical. Tsvetan also gave us confidence and convinced us to join the workshops in Holborn, so, we can’t wait to dance with Salsa Tropical soon again! 5 star experience for sure!

United Kingdom | 04 August 2023Terrible behaviour from staff member - if I could give this place zero stars I would!! I did a free taster session and an hour fusion class. I came with my friend (we’re both girls). Maria and Tsvetan weirdly sneered at us and asked if we were a couple, it came across more hostile than friendly. In the free taster class the staff let me dance with my friend but they never warned us before I paid for the next class that we were rotating partners. Then in the middle of the next class they order us around and rushed us to rotate partners without asking our consent. The rotating partners thing sucked because I came with someone so that I can have someone to dance with but I was alone a lot of the time dancing with an imaginary friends. I wouldn’t pay that discounted 10 pounds for a class again because I can easily do it at home with a partner using YouTube which is free - at least that would spare me from dealing with all the trouble I had to deal with. Tsvetan also shouted at me really aggressively because my wristband showing we paid for the class was hidden in my shirt. The music was playing so it may be that he was trying to make himself heard but he should have approached me nicely and asked nicely where my wristband was. Instead he yelled at dme angrily that “I should be showing my wristband” and I felt intimidated and got anxiety for the whole class. Edit after reply: Your response goes to show that you’re trying to blame me for being uncomfortable because I was a beginner at salsa and not because of your bad behaviour. He should be held accountable for the way he mistreated me - I didn’t get a single apology which is very telling of how he is as a person!! The reason why I was so distraught and crying after the class wasn’t fully because of the people didn’t want to dance with me like I said to you. The reason why I said that is because I felt too scared and anxious to tell loud and intimidating people like him and rude people like the both of you that the big part of the reason why I was uncomfortable was because of the way you made me rotate partners and dance with random men, and because of the behaviour of staff members particularly him. Everytime someone writes a bad review you blame them e.g. you’re late or you don’t know some salsa. You’re also trying to accuse me of lying so that you all don’t take accountability for your behaviour. You also can witness in the session that many of the guys switched partners because I was so nervous because of the rotating partners thing and because the staff were being loud and Imintimidating, which made me mess up the steps. So stop trying to tell me I’m a liar. Maybe take some responsibility, stop being rude and mistreating people ?! Also anyone who experiences the similar behaviour I got from y’all are better off using YouTube with a group of friends in a park or something than having to deal with nasty behaviour from y’all!!

United Kingdom | 17 November 2022It was a real pleasure working with Salsa Tropical. I appreciated the encouragement and coaching which has improved my technique and styling. I love the choreography designed for my competition performance. I very much value the team work and collaborations, all working towards executing the dance moves with excellence.

E Calver,
United Kingdom | 27 July 2022Tsvetan and Maria did a fabulous job of a full day of dance workshops for our year 9 students at City of London School for Girls. They were engaging and fun, and the students learned a huge amount in a very short time. Their excellent knowledge of both the dancing and the music was apparent throughout. I would absolutely recommend them to any school looking to enhance their dance/PE or music curriculum. Fantastic work! We will be booking you again!

United Kingdom | 16 June 2022Great experience! The staff is very welcoming and understanding of each student to provide a better follow-up to their situation. This is key to helping everyone improve their dancing skills. In addition, the great atmosphere and friendliness of other students gather to make a unique mix ideal for learning efficiently without feeling the effort!

United Kingdom | 10 June 2022I was at this place with some friends, we ordered some food and drinks, it was happy hour by that time, so we ordered again another couple of drinks but the person who took the order, was rude and pointing the fact that it was happy hour, even when my friend told them not matter about the price, 45' later we didn't even have the drink, if we were at this place is because we will have a good and fun time, and not feeling down as they made us feel! I'd suggest to train better their staff.

United Kingdom | 03 June 2022I have found this course on the internet and all reviews directed me to them. I had a free salsa taster in my first day and really loved to join in the course. I had many questions regarding the course and the receptionist answered patiently and friendly. In addition, all teachers were helpful and supportive. I have been taking salsa lessons for a month and I am so thrilled to be there.

United Kingdom | 20 February 2022This is a great dance studio. The lead instructors know their stuff and the groups are friendly. One of the best parts is it's absolutely OK to turn up on your own without feeling uncomfortable. I was worried about that when I first decided to learn but I've never felt like a spare part. It's great that everyone dances with everyone so you learn how to dance with lots of different dancers/styles of partner. People of all ages and abilities are made to feel comfortable. I have a great time and now go twice a week every week, and hate missing it!

United Kingdom | 05 January 2022One of the best place to learn salsa and bachata.

United Kingdom | 03 December 2021I 100% recommend Salsa-Tropical's lessons. I started from the Beginners level with Tsvetan and Lydia. They are great, lovely and patient teachers. In one month and 1/2 I already could go to Improvers with Adrian and the experience was great. If you want to have fun and meet a great community (both teachers and students), go there!

United Kingdom | 01 December 2021I wanted to learn salsa for a few years and finally googled schools in the area 3 months ago and booked a 30 minute tester class in Salsa Tropical. After my 30 minute tester I purchased 2 months of unlimited salsa and bachata classes and am now going 3 times a week every week as it is the best hobby/passion I've ever had. The teachers, management team and students are amazing and we have become an incredible community of friends who support each other and regularly spend time with each other outside the classes. I can't recommend Salsa Tropical more and looking forward to many more months/years of fun together!

United Kingdom | 30 November 2021Incredible place to learn to dance salsa. These classes are the perfect balance between having fun and pushing yourself. It doesn't feel like an ordinary class, everyone is super friendly and involved that they make you feel part of an enjoyable community.

United Kingdom | 25 November 2021I have had a lot of fun since starting to take lessons at Salsa Tropical! The instructors are all super friendly and approachable and teach in a digestible and unintimidating way. The atmosphere and social dynamic in class are also great.

United Kingdom | 22 November 2021Salsa Tropical is a fantastic salsa academy. By providing multiple different levels for their classes they make it easy to find the right entry point for you and will coach you through the levels as you progress. They also host socials every night they run which is really unique to them and allows you to practice and compound what you learn in the lessons which is super valuable. The teachers themselves are both excellent dancers and instructors. The vibe at ST is also always good humoured, energetic and fun. All in all, a superb place to salsa!

United Kingdom | 13 November 2021I’m so surprised that there are so many good reviews. In London most of the schools have one room/venue and all classes are having lesson at the same time. This is so much confusing. I could barely heard the teacher. I got too little feedback about lady’s(followers) steps. They can be great dancers but teaching is something different. They said they have different level groups I joined intermediate class. When the lesson is over all the students joined advanced class. So it means either they don’t have an intermediate class or an advanced class:)) Futhermore their receptionist is totally rude. There are much better danceschools so I won’t join any class here. Edit after their reply: You can understand how rude they are from the answers they give. And what is the point in “real reviews” answer? Means the reviews are done by your group? By the way I joined the class on time. Accept it you don’t have an intermediate group. You moved advanced with same students. Which means your point is pretending as if you have great demand. Thats really pathetic , stay away these people.

United Kingdom | 11 November 2021I've been dancing for the last three years at Salsa Tropical and I love it. I always go back home happy after any classes. Mike is simply amazing! Nice people and beautiful atmosphere! I'd recommend it to everyone.
