United Kingdom | 31 March 2023I have dealt with this company for many years and they are simply fantastic to deal with. Their range of vehicles is comprehensive, with something for everyone, and their backup service on a business to business level is superb. The people care, with a lot of longstanding employees being very loyal to the brand and knowledgeable about all things Bailey!

United Kingdom | 31 March 2023Copy of email sent to Bailey of Bristol We were to collect our new caravan in March 2022 but the delivery was delayed and we eventually picked it up at the beginning of July 2022. After the first outing we had to return it to the dealer due to numerous issues which made it less that a rewarding experience to use. This, unfortunately, has been a continuing theme in our ownership over the following 9 months to date. The most recent issue has been a faulty Microwave which is now turning into a farce. We reported the Microwave as faulty in November 2022 and were asked to supply a photograph of the item. The caravan was in storage for the winter and arrangements had to be made to access it. A photograph was suppled and after several weeks I was informed that it was not good enough. Access arranged again and another photograph was suppled. All went quiet and I assumed a replacement was being sourced and on its away. We visited the dealer in mid march to enquire how things were progressing only to be told that 'Baileys' were not the best at supplying parts and it would be chased up. We were then further frustrated to be told a few days later that the serial number of the Microwave was required before anything could be done. We then informed the dealer that unless we could access the Microwave easily the caravan would have to be returned to them for one of their technicians to remove it. We could not get it out so another visit to Lowdhams caravans was scheduled for 30/03/23. We have now been without a functioning Microwave oven for almost 5 months Please bear in mind that each time the caravan is returned to the dealer it involves a round trip of over 70 miles. When purchasing our new Bailey Cabrera we were under the impression that we were buying a quality item as promised to us by Bailey representatives at the NEC caravan show. I have listed the faults and issues we have had with this caravan in our short time of ownership and would be interested in your comments, actions and improvements to help us get more enjoyment out of our expensive purchase and spend less time returning it to the dealership for time consuming repairs. Alternatively why not have it back, sort it out and return it when it is 100% functional. I look forward to your quick response 1. Caravan supplied without a large table 2. Caravan supplied with no ATC module 3. The hanging rails in both the rear wardrobes fell off when we first used the caravan. On investigation I found that the rails had been cut too short ( I say cut, they had actually been hacked, leaving very sharp ragged edges). While waiting for replacements I filed the edges and wedged them in place with paper. Eventually 2 replacements were supplied and fitted by me. 4. Badly creaking bathroom floor – (partially) rectified by dealer after returning the caravan twice from storage. As of 30/03/23 it is creaking badly again 5. Incorrect spotlights supplied with no USB points fitted. Eventually replacements were supplied 6. Bed would not stay up without holding it in place – rectified by dealer. As of 30/03/23 the bed will not stay up again. It drops straight down with no restriction 7. Sliding bedroom door sticking on the floor – rectified by dealer after returning the caravan 8. Sliding door not squarely meeting wall when closed – has been looked at by dealer with only partial success. You can still see into the bathroom from the bedroom when the door is ‘closed’ 9. The off side front (rhs) window blind fell off – returned to the dealer twice 2 to be repaired. As of 30/03/23 the top right hand corner is off again – the securing screw is missing 10. The off side rear (rhs) bedroom window blind fell off – repaired by dealer 11. The main door could not be separated properly – repaired by dealer 12. Incorrect handbook supplied with caravan documentation – now we are told that ‘Bailey do not issue caravan handbooks. Well please tell why there was no problem issuing an incorrect one 13. Inaccessible front window catches due to front side blinds not concertinaing properly – replacement blinds have been ‘on order’ since September 2022 14. Large front window blind will not concertina away properly – replacement on order since September 2022 15. Swing door into the bathroom will not close. It hits the door surround and therefore using the bathroom is done with the door partially open 16. Microwave oven has ceased to work. As reported above. 17. The drain pipe for the Thetford Cassette toilet flushing was inaccessible. The pipe had been doubled over, tucked up behind the cassette and had electrical wiring wrapped around it so that it could not be pulled down without damaging the wiring. Rectified by the dealer Looks like Bailey are only interested in shifting 'units' and not in looking after loyal customers who have parted with their cash already

United Kingdom | 25 March 2023Bailey Phoenix 650 - our first ever new caravan bought 2 years ago. Loads of issues from first pickup and it's going back to the dealer again with more next week. Bailey we're not interested when I messaged and fobbed me off to the dealer. Real lack of quality control in place by the looks. Broken blinds x many, loose microwave, bathroom door handle broken, loose plug socket, shower sealant minimal, sink sealant too low resulting in leaking onto the cupboard underneath, panel up to the top bunk broken, leaking water into the gas box, stable door latch set too low so it comes apart when closing the door, fridge shelves missing......! Very, very disappointed and unlikely to purchase another Bailey. Definitely learned to quality check on purchase, although I shouldn't have to, never had to with a new car.

United Kingdom | 13 March 2023Excellent service. Replied almost immediately to my email query.

United Kingdom | 10 March 2023Emailed Aftercare has mentioned in previous reply from Bailey sent for the attention of Nicholas, no response from him your any director so after 30 years of being an owner of a Bailey caravan words fail me. So they take your money then couldn’t care less. Would I buy another Bailey, definitely not Poor quality materials and workmanship.

United Kingdom | 10 March 2023Brand new Bailey Messina Grande north of 30k here is the list of things wrong after the first trip. Faulty Toilet (not fully opening) Wardrobe rails cut too short that just fall off Front locker door not locking all blinds stiff to the point you can't open/shut them without fear of breaking something. Electric tow cable that long and not clipped to anything so it fell down and dragged on the floor on the way back. Shower that Was only dripping on full power. So it went to Campbells in Preston to have everything put right and they (whilst I was standing there watching) increased the pressure in the system to make the shower better. At our second trip ever in this caravan and luckily only just down the road we came back on the Saturday afternoon to find that the entire middle section of the caravan flooded, carpets sodden, all the cabinetry soaked at the bottom a total disaster. I contacted Campbells, to be honest the initial call was great and I expected a swift resolution the following day, it then took their service manager until the middle of the next afternoon to email me (Didn't bother to ring at all) Because its so new and because of the extent of the damage I told them I wanted a refund and that's where things got even worse. Sent a mail to Bailey including a copy of the purchase order form, no response for 5 days but on the 5th day they emailed me requesting the Vin number as they didn't have it. It literally took them 5 days to actually bother to contact me. I emailed Campbells a formal request to send the thing back and then it gets even worse as Bailey now won't even give me the details of technical information I have requested in support of my claim. They now say because I have formally requested for the caravan to go back that they will no longer communicate with me and I have to go through the dealer. The dealer being the one that has caused the problem and that I have no faith in being able to fix it. Do not touch this lot with a barge pole folks, you can read the rest of the sorry stories of people on here people spending condsiderable amounts of hard earned money on a product that certainly in my view and case is substandard, the customer service is also non existent.

Czech Republic | 09 March 2023The best customer service. I needed a coc list and everything was sorted out in a couple of emails. Very polite and nice approach. I'm very glad that I bought a caravan from this company. I can recommend it to everyone. Best service ever!

United Kingdom | 09 March 2023Bailey why do you treat your customers like this I have had 3 new caravans from you and this one I have now has been the worst. Kitchen locker doors 2 no fell off 3 weeks after receiving from new. Then replaced all locker handles inside because of top layer coming away and then damp you would not sort out this cost me over two thousand pounds to sort out . Just in today to find locker hings going rusty. It's not on. Update . Bailey please stop telling me to go to the dealership it’s your caravan . Your the one at fault not them . UPDATE Still no further forward with the above issues. Please if you read all the Bailey reviews before buying a caravan. I have been advised to take this to trading standards and also go through the courts .

United Kingdom | 09 March 2023UPDATE We were given a delivery date of mid August for the replacement widow, and yes surprise-surprise ...no windowafter almost 12 months wait!! Continuation of Bailey shocking customer service. DO NOT TOUCH BAILEY CARAVANS!! UPDATE We were given a date of May for the delivery of the window, but it's a no show, with now a date of end of July. More lies from Bailey, they just cannot be trusted and are just ignoring existing customers. DO NOT TOUCH BAILEY!! UPDATE Still no help from Bailey jut the usual platitudes, I've checked out some dealers and they have still been shipping new vans but not suppplying spares for warranty replacements. Shocking behaviour, borne I guess through greed and just putting two fingers up at existing customers. Do not buy Bailey, they are not the company they used to be. UPDATE Response from Bailey below - says nothing really. My Response to this - I havent had any proposed delivery dates for the part, but I bet Bailey have shipped new vans since this started. Bailey, please confirm parts delivery date?? Our van is no still less than a year old. We have been waiting for a replacement for our cracked big front window warranty replacement now for six months and still no sign of it. Bailey are citing shortage of materials but I would guess they are still shipping new vans so I don't believe this. In addition to this, we have been disappointed with the general fit and finish of the van when new, namely, the aforementioned window not closing properly to begin with, locker door needing replacing whole of the back panel needing re-sealing, lockers having wood shavings left in them at handover etc etc Another serious and annoying one for us is having to have the fridge door opening reversed because it's damaging the side panel when opening. This now affects the ease of use of the kitchen area by compromising the space. We feel this might prove to be most frustrating over the ownership of our van. We realise there are usually issues with new caravans, but the window issues coupled with the fridge door has knocked the shine off the ownership of this new caravan. I believe our dealer are doing their best but are being strangled by the poor after sales form Bailey. So frustrated with the delays for the window I'm seriously thinking about parking this outside the dealers with a big sign on it saying don't buy Bailey!

United Kingdom | 23 February 2023I own a Unicorn 3 Cordoba which unfortunately sustained damage early last year. To allow me to start using my caravan again, my repairers have all parts to make a full repair with the exception of 1 specific (and vital) item. From the middle of last year, the Prima Leisure website has always shown an estimated despatch date for this part (usually 4-6 weeks) but just like that proverbial dangling carrot, keeps moving it further and further back. It never arrives! Disappointingly, we started with despatch dates in September 2022 and it has trundled on until now, with their website is now showing the middle of March 2023. I now fear that I will lose yet another year's use of my caravan - I currently have a one that cost me a lot of money sitting idle and unused. I am not impressed with the way Bailey Caravans treat their customers. I'll be interested to hear if they have anything to say (but I'm not holding my breath!).

United Kingdom | 20 February 2023We rejected our unicorn 5series caravan very poor construction it fell apart around us, luckily our dealer exchanged it for another make such a relief, they really are very poor

United Kingdom | 19 February 2023If you are thinking of buying a Bailey product your should be aware of the issues Bailey are having with the supply of spares. Our motorhome was delivered with a defective cab roof window blind. Thinking this was not a big issue, we took delivery with a promise from the dealership that a replacement blind was on order. More fool us ! Seven months later and still no blind, with Baileys blaming supply chain issues. Reading other posts on this website, this seems to be far from uncommon. From my experience, and others on this site, Bailey seem to be struggling to support their products and seem to prioritise selling new over supporting existing customers.

United Kingdom | 08 February 2023Have just bought Bailey secondhand and have transferred warranty, which went very smoothly, so no complaints.

United Kingdom | 07 February 2023Ive just received a reply from Bailey aftercare from my previous post about the length of time it takes to get warranty work completed. It now transpires that it is going to take longer than originally anticipated and even that end date cannot be guaranteed. It amazes me how this company gets away with its excuses it’s only answer to any post about it is to contact its customer aftercare and they give you the same answer as your original complaint.Come on Bailey get your finger out and sort things out

United Kingdom | 07 February 2023Improvement of build quality of the bailey Phoenix range. Very badly put together. Extremely flimsy construction inside. Things always falling apart virtually every time we use it. Very disappointed in our purchase. This is the 9th caravan we have owned and definitely the worst by far.

United Kingdom | 06 February 2023Had our van a year, still waiting for parts from Bailey that are to be replaced under warranty. They appear not to be interested once they have sold you your van. The van is nice but your customer service is appalling. We are still waiting for a replacement fridge door, reported at purchase, the seating just creases, still awaiting a replacement from Bellfield. The front infinity window blind is not fit for purpose, Bailey are supposed to be sorting this, but nothing has happened as yet. Awaiting new self closing runners for drawers and some trim at the front. It cannot be that difficult to sort, but it is. Not happy at all.

Trevor
United Kingdom | 06 February 2023Shody workmanship from start to finish. £30K van and 12 months on and still awaiting parts so repairs can be carried out. Bailey's simply don't care. Dealer in an impossible position, and no one at Bailey's give a monkeys. This is our third Baileys, and will be our last. Customer service , what customer service?

United Kingdom | 05 February 2023S5 Vigo - nice design but very poorly built - fault after fault after fault! Bailey’s & Lowdhams Caravans after sales service is non existent! We bought the caravan in January 2022 & started reporting faults on the same day we collected it - the PDI from Lowdhams missed that the toilet flush did not work, the wrong handbook was supplied & the battery terminals were not tight plus all water pipe connections under the sink were loose. They were just the starter faults! Warped doors & panels needed replacing as did all of the crews fastening doors to cabinets as doors kept falling off. The front drawers collapsed, the fridge door fell off, the shower cubicle silicone has nearly all peeled off where the walls meet the shower tray, the awning skirt mounting rail was incorrectly fitted, the entrance door chill fell off, the glass top on the hob fell off while we were travelling, impossible to slid the spare wheel out from under the caravan as the carrier tubes had not been greased. This is not the full list of repairs required! Lowdhams have not repaired anything or contacted me without me ringing or emailing them - the only thing they ever say is that they are waiting for parts from Bailey - ITS NOW MORE THAN A YEAR SINCE I FIRST STARTED REPORTING FAULTS!!!!!! I have repaired everything myself that doesn’t require parts from Bailey as I became fed up with waiting for Lowdhams to do any repairs & we wanted to use our caravan. Oh, I forgot - the water pump failed in France last July - rang Lowdhams who did not answer the phone or respond to the message I left - rang Whale in Ireland who were not interested in helping at all or interested in having the failed pump posted to them to enable them the investigate why it failed (my assumption is that they know the pumps seize up - a friend of mine had the same model Whale pump fail in the same way 2 weeks previously). I found a dealer in Northern France who had stock so I ordered 2 pumps which arrived at the site we were on 4 days later. Bailey now say that the required parts will be delivered to Lowdhams on the 17th of February - this is the 3rd date I have been given so I will believe it when they finally arrive. Needless to say I will not buy another Bailey Caravan & sad to say I would have serious doubts about buying another caravan from Lowdhams (this is the 4th caravan we have bought from them)
