Australia | 28 March 2024Vonex have been appalling from the outset and I would never use this company again. I would never had used them if I'd seen all the reviews however I was referred by a Communications Vendor who I can only assume gets commissions for the sales of this "service". Staff are pleasant when you call to log the (very frequent) issues. We are a small business with a small number of phone extensions. We use Telstra for mobiles. We have been told that it is our problem that we want to use the system on soft phones and in a variety of locations. Apparently Vonex has issue with the phones being able to be used over Telstra, being able to be used via different IP addresses (working at the office and then working from home). Most weeks there is an issue with the phone system and we seem to have a different fix every time. This has been going on for over 12 months. I'm ever hopeful that each call will result in a fix however I am rapidly losing faith. Given the high number of issues I'm shocked that not one person has ever reached out to try and properly resolve the issues. And not once have we had the offer of a discount on the bills we continue to pay...

Australia | 08 February 2024I was previously a customer of MyNetfone for 12 years and then Vonex bought them out. Since they took them over I have had nothing but issues logging in and trying to pay my prepaid account top up. The final straw was this week when I went to log in and was presented with a login screen requesting my Account Number. This was a totally new account number from my old Mynetfone one. Trouble is, they did not bother to tell me what thataccountnumber might be. After speaking with support I was reset a password and accunt number but was told my account was suspended. I topped up my account with $20 and a week later I am still sitting with no balance despite my $20 coming out. When I log into my account I see nowhere I can manage my phone numbers, call forwards etc. There is a section called "Telephone Settings" however when I click on this I am asked for a username and password. None of which is the same as the one to log into my portal. Tried to get help but they never pick up the support call or ticket. I ended up giving up and moving to Crazytel today. Port has been approved so will be able to get back up and running in a few days. $20 disapeared, guess I'll never see that again! All I can say is, if you choose Vonex, good luck to you!

Australia | 01 November 2023Worst experience ever - phone lines constantly being cut 'by accident'. They do apologies and ssay sorry it was their fault, and that it won't happen again. BUT - then it happens again. We get emails from customers saying they can't reach us... we should have to call our own phone line every week to make sue it still works... absolute joke of a service, Then they have the audacity to say it 'just telecommunications' so they can't guarantee our phones will work all the time > but it's simply their organisation. MyNetFone was way better, Vonex are absolute rubbish and have cost me minimum thousands (possibly ten's of thousands in lost sales).

Australia | 19 August 2023Well can I just say all the 1 star reviews are valid and genuine. I was with Pennytel and then acquired by MyNetFone which was fine and no real effect on service or agreement. That all changed when acquired by Vonex even though through the acquisition it was implied that everything would remain the same. Their dirty tactics resulted in them changing the agreement and refusing to give me a refund of the credit which I had previously held with them (well with MyNetFone) as I put a decent amount of credit on each time it went low. In any case they refused even after I raised the agreements of my previous terms. Needless to say I got the Ombudsman involved and then they agreed they would refund me in 2 - 3 weeks. After 4 weeks I followed them up and again told it would be processed soon. It was several weeks later that I finally got my refund. Like many others I am glad to be rid of this company and will never utilise them or any of their services again in the future. Dishonest, deceitful organisation that deserve that it would not surprise me if it goes into liquidation in the coming months / years due to the way they run their business and treat their customer base.

Australia | 20 July 2023I see I'm not alone in being frustrated with the Mynetfone migration to Vonex. I actually started out with Pennytel and when they were acquired by Mynetfone nothing really changed for me, or if it did it improved. On the other hand, with the forced migration to Vonex my existing plan was not matched and instead Vonex basically robbed my credit and cancelled my account for "non payment" 6 weeks after I was migrated with no prior warning. They have no plans that are equivalent to the one I had and there was no option to escape the migration as far as I am aware. I feel violated. Based on my experience and reading that mirrors others' experiences, I am glad to have given them the boot.

Australia | 25 June 2023Vonex moved my VOIP account from MyNetFone to their service and I have been unable to receive calls anymore. Contacted them and tried their troubleshooting advice but it still won't work. Apparently, they can call the number so there is nothing wrong but no one has been able to call me for a month.

Australia | 12 June 2023There are no words that can describe how bad Vonex is at providing residential VOIP services. The migration from the MyNetFone infrastructure in June 2023 was a disaster. Multiple technical failures (a number of which are still unresolved after several weeks), random incorrect emails from billing, virtually impossible to obtain support (multi-hour wait times on phone), primitive phone configuraiton options (voice mail, etc) through the customer portal... Have moved to a new provider, Crazytel (at half the price) and it was a pleasant seamless experience. Now will never need to deal with, or even think about, Vonex again.

Australia | 09 June 2023The Vonex slogan is "Always ON" I was recently migrated from MyNetFone. As many others have complained, we were not informed of their charges, which were higher for someone like me on a basic plan. The migration process has been unpleaseant. Several proud announcements were made that the customer portal was available, when it fact it was impossible to access, requiring contact via email and a week's delay to be provided with a Vonex account number. I used that time to research an alternative provider, one that offered rates competitive with MyNetFone, and have now happily been migrated to them. As for "Always ON", since Vonex announced that the migration had been completed, it has been necessary, on an almost daily basis, to reset my VOIP device so that it would reregister with their server. Happy to be gone.

What was free will be $5 per month. $10/month gets free local/national calls but 20c/min mobile. I’ve been trialling Crazytel for three months. They are superior in every way. Cheaper Australian and International calls and unlimited trunks per plan. Goodbye Vonex!

After the Vonex purchase they now rescind my contract and demand that I pay ***$60 per year*** for my phone number (plus call costs). $60??? SCAMMERS! I moved to crazytel for just $4.20 per year...

Australia | 07 December 2022We were a happy "MyNetFone" customer until Vonex purchased them and migrated us to their system in September. It was downhill from there and fast! We have internet and Voip phone system with them. Lack of communication and basic understanding of our requirement (they just had to duplicate our existing phone system and got it wrong multiple times). The biggest issue is that with MyNetFone they used a awesome phone system portal where we had full control of the Lines, Extension, Hunt Groups, Voicemail and it was easy to use. The Vonex system is confusing, non-intuitive and only offers 20% control. So now we need to request the Help Desk for all changes and so far they not only get it wrong, but alter other settings which has caused us chaos. It's a total disaster and we are looking for a another provider. Do Not Use Vonex for your phone system!

Australia | 01 August 2022Absolutely pathetic. They took over MyNetFone and: 1) Overcharge - my contract says one thing and they just ignore it even when you go online together and show them and 2) Give ZERO support that has any meaning whatsoever. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER!!!!!
