I'm new to the HDpiano service but so far I am impressed. You seem to have all the songs I would like to learn and the instructors are very good in their presentations. One thing, I wonder if there is a request feature for songs that have nit been featured and that I would like to play. Thx.

Following David Bennett’s 10 Modules has progressed my playing and understanding further than any other online learning I have ever tried. And I’ve tried them all! The lessons are easy to follow and you can tell immediately that you have learned something new. HD Piano also has songs available that you actually want to play and it doesn’t over simplify them or teach you snippets, you can actually learn full songs from intro to outro. One thing I will say is however, they recently upgraded their website and although it looks visually more appealing, some of the functionality of their original format has been lost for now. Such as keeping track of your progress through the lesson modules and I’m finding it a little tricky to search for things and navigate the site. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. It won’t put me off though as I’m actually amazed at how far I’ve come on since signing up. It’s always been in the back of my mind to just give up trying as I thought I’d never be able to play anything to any sort of standard but HD Piano has shown me that I can learn and I literally rush home from work to practice.

I learn to play my piano by understanding chords and their inversions rather than reading or memorizing notes. It would be helpful for me if you showed what inversions (chord names) were being played also. Would eliminate memorization.

HDpiano is my go to site for learning songs on the piano. It’s always current with new tutorials being published every week. Also, the site has been supplemented with many resources for learning technique and basics for every level of student.

Hd piano is a fun way to learn piano. Customer service is promptly responsive and very helpful as well. I recommend them if you are at any level of learning piano.

I barely read music and definitely no base clef. I've always used a guitar chord approach to playing the piano. HDpiano's visual method has me playing songs I never thought I'd be capable of. And now I discovered that I can slow songs down and mark loops for difficult spots I know I'll improve even more. Thanks!

I loved HD Piano but in my opinion it really is not as good as it was. Im paying a lot more money than I did and content has gone missing or should I say songs that I was learning have disappeared! There are also some songs that are still there but revamped with a different teacher, when the original teacher was fine, and taught the song in more detail and more accuracy. I have had a response from HD Piano saying that there are sometimes licensing issues that they need to occasionally work through. I appreciate their response and they have reinstated some of the material. I am satisfied by their explanation and consideration. Thank you HD piano.

Cancel my subscription and receive the confirmation email but the bank direct debit was still enabled so I paid 6 months without using the service... Never answer to my messages.

Learning another song with Dan. I think I am really doing well with this one. Love HD Piano, great place to learn, feel like part of a family A shame that Whiter Shade Of Pale was taken off when I was doing so well with it, maybe one day it will be relisted. Thanks to you all

I honestly think that HD piano should market their lessons as being "aimed at an intermediate piano player". They are definitely not for a beginner. What is extremely frustrating, is to watch the tutor play which is great, BUT, there is no chord sheets to go with the lesson, and if there are any, they are different to that of the tutor. Maybe I am missing something, but, pretty dissapointing.

I have to pay to learn piano on HDpiano.com and then pay again to purchase their piano sheet on Musicnotes. They claim to help us learn piano without reading sheet music, so why do they offer the option to download sheet music on their website?

The lessons are well taught. The notes are rendered in the Tetris falling blocks style and work better when the note names are shown within the blocks which isn't always the case in older material. There are very few chord and lyric charts and even fewer keyboard diagrams showing the chord inversions that were used. I find it's difficult to remember these things and for more complicated songs by Steely Dan, for instance, it's nigh on impossible. I don't want to have to run through a video every time I want to check a chord. Having worked my way through songs, I don't remember enough about them to play through them again even a few weeks later without watching the videos again and relearning them. It's for this reason that I've discontinued my subscription.

My son really found this app useful when he decided to try and start in the higher level of his music class. It was also so nice to hear the familiar songs he learnt in the background. In addition, HDPianos customer service was fantastic!

In the light of the very helpful feedback I've been getting from the folks at HDPiano, I've decided to upgrade to five stars. And though I still think the song selections include too much middle-of-the-road pablum, the tutorials are really great.
