Just got back from doing the Manaslu Circuit 14 day trek. Very happy to have gone through Green Valley and would definitely recommend. Everything seemed organised from head office end and they were easily contactable. The main reason we enjoyed it so much was our guide, Sanoj Neupane. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the area and his enthusiasm was infectious. He was also patient and supportive which made a huge difference especially on challenging days. Arjun and the company took really good care of us just after arriving to Kathmandu airport. The tour included magnificient places in Kathmandu like Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath temple, and we stopped for lunch in beautiful Bhaktapur. The tour was very informative!

I took the EBC through Gokyo Lake trek with Green Valley Nepal. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. From my initial contact with Green Valley, all of my questions were answered with great patience and details. The whole trip was well organized. Our original flight from Kathmandu to Lukla was canceled due to the weather, but the Green Valley quickly arranged a helicopter flight, so our trip didn’t get delayed. My guide Raj was very experenced, super nice and patient. He gave me a lot of suggestions, and even helped me carry my sleeping bag, so I could continue my hiking. He was very caring when I felt ill, and provided tremendous assistant to alleviate my symptoms. I have already decided to work with Green Valley again when I visit Nepal next time and I will certainly recommend the company to everyone who is interested in trekking trips in Nepal. Before we were even picked up at the busy KTM airport we were well taken care of by Green Valley. Arjun was always quick to answer my many questions through whatsapp before we arrived in Nepal. Everything was made easy, from arriving at the hotel, the pre-trip meeting, meeting our guide, travel to Lukla, all accommodations and food. Our group of 4 did the Three Passes Trek with wonderful and very experienced guide Gopal who went above and beyond to keep us safe, organized and positive during the trek. When a couple group members had some trouble with the altitude, Gopal was always there to calm our worries, and it is obvious how knowledgeable he is about being in the mountains. When our flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu was delayed due to weather, he even stayed with us for two days and Green Valley made other arrangements to get us back in time for our flights home. He took care of us until the last moment as we waved goodbye while on the tarmac boarding the plane. Trekking in Nepal is tough but so rewarding and was made so much easier with Green Valley! We will be back and will use this company again and recommend to all our friends!

Have done treks with green valley 4 times now and have had no issues with any of them. Arjun is very welcoming, friendly and easy to communicate with (it feels like visiting a family member or close friend). Even deep in the mountains, he’s contactable and was quick to organise last minute things like helicopter return (which we needed once). The guides and porters were all super nice and knowledgeable. The goodbye dinner and drinks at the end is a lovely touch. Will definitely be coming back many more times, and always with Green Valley!

We did the ABC trek with Arjun of Green Valley Treks Nepal, our 4th time with them. We had an immensely enjoyable trip with every aspect taken care of, from the best tea houses to best view points for photos, carrying fresh fruit for desert every night. When the weather was turning bad our guide Ashish planned on getting us up to base camp a day earlier so that we could get the best sunrise views the day after. He organized crampon rentals at Deurali because we had left ours behind. Always cheerful and motivating Ashish and our two porters made the trek so enjoyable. They monitored us for any signs of AMS and provided excellent company. We are planning our next trek with them already.

A good friend and I trekked with Green Valley to EBC in April of 2024. Communication from the company in advance of our trip was exceptional, and Arjun helped us with hotel bookings and other trip details outside the normal itinerary. All aspects of the trip went smoother than I could have hoped. We opted for a helicopter ride to Lilla rather than the usual plane - good call, as flights were all canceled the day we were to leave. Helicopters fly when planes can’t. We also opted to take a helicopter down from EBC rather than trekking down. This shorted the trip and we both agreed it was a great call as we were quite tired upon reaching EBC. We had our own guide (Ambar) and porter (Ganesh) who were a son/father team. Both were absolutely incredible. The local knowledge and experience of having Ambar with us made the trip all the more incredible. The fact that they were father/son was really fun. I highly recommend Green Valley, and if you’re able to get Ambar and Ganesh as your team, you won’t regret it.

We had an incredible experience hiking Annapurna Circuit with Green Valley Nepal Treks! We were a group of 12 students and they helped us craft a custom itinerary based on the days we had available. Arjun is extremely responsive and very helpful answering all your questions ahead of time! Our guide Phurba was also exceptional - helping us set a hiking pace that worked for the full group and providing helpful guidance along the way. This was the trip of a lifetime!! We did the 12 day Everest Basecamp Trek and it was absolutely incredible. Green Valley made it so easy to plan for this trip and Arjun was super responsive throughout the many months leading up to the trip - and believe me I had a lot of questions! Having a great guide on this trip is definitely mandatory as navigating the various permits, flights, tea houses, etc can be tough for newcomers. Our guide was Bishwa, one of the kindest and funniest people I’ve ever met. We wouldn’t have had the experience that we did without him. His communication on the trip, and ability to answer any questions - whether it be the height of ANY mountain we pointed out along the way, questions about culture, what we should eat or avoid, how to handle the altitude - Bishwa walked us through it all and made us feel so at ease! Along with our incredible porters Hari and Arjun (superheroes), the whole Green Valley team was amazing every step of the way. I should note that this isn’t a vacation, it’s an ADVENTURE! And it will be tough, but so so so worth it. An experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Can’t recommend highly enough. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!

We just recently completed a 12 day Annapurna circuit trek organized by Raj of Green Valley Nepal Treks and research hub. Raj has been organizing treks for quite a while and set us up with a great Itinerary, transportation, and crew. Our guide Shishir and porter Ram were most helpful in making our trip a reality. They were friendly, professional, found the best lunch spots along the way, made sure we hiked at a pace comfortable for us, and always made sure we were adequately hydrated for the strenuous activity. We also traveled counter clockwise in order to properly acclimate to the increasing altitude and Shishir constantly observed our tolerance. Green Valley Nepal's efforts contributed to our successfully reaching our goal of reaching Thorang-La Pass and completing the circuit trek. My husband and I did the EBC + Gokyo trek with Green Valley, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience and supporting team. When we arrived in Kathmandu, we were put up in an incredibly comfortable hotel. We met with Arjun, the company owner, right away - he was very clear and thorough in his overview of the hike and made sure all of our questions were answered. When our flight to Lukla the next day was delayed by a few hours, Arjun did not hesitate to put us on a helicopter free of any additional charge to make sure we made it to the hike start point without any setbacks . We met our guide, Ambar, and porter, Suneil, when we arrived in Lukla, and we could tell instantly we were in good hands. Both Ambar and Suneil were incredibly positive, and their good humor and attitude made even the toughest times on the trail enjoyable. Ambar took great care of us - he regularly checked in with us to make sure we were feeling okay, drinking enough water and eating enough to have energy for the long treks. He is also a wealth of knowledge on the local culture - he shared plenty tidbits of knowledge along the way and answered our many questions about Sherpa culture, and Nepali culture more broadly, openly and honestly. He was also very conscientious of our hiking pace throughout the journey and stayed by our side when we slowed down or needed to take breaks. We had the best experience possible with Green Valley! Everything was so well arranged. Green Valley has been very warm, flexible, friendly, and welcoming to us. Before the trip, all communication was very smooth. When we arrived in Kathmandu, we met Arjun at the Green Valley office. Everything was explained very well, and they answered all our questions. They also offered to rent everything we didn’t have, like sleeping bags and jackets. Our flight to Lukla was delayed for two hours. Instead of letting us wait, which we were perfectly happy with, Arjun arranged a helicopter flight for us! What an incredible experience. Upon arrival in Lukla, we met our guide, Lakpa. Lakpa was excellent. He’s experienced, calm, funny, and very friendly. He took such good care of us, and we never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. He accompanied us all the way up to EBC and Kala Patthar. We have so much respect for guides like him! He felt like a friend. We were very lucky with the weather; all days were bright, sunny, and with clear blue skies. After 12 days, we made it back to Lukla. We had the experience of a lifetime thanks to Green Valley and Lakpa, our guide. Stop looking for other companies. Green Valley is amazing, and I highly recommend booking with them! Everest Base Camp had been on my bucket list for years. Tried to recruit some friends but I ended up traveling solo, Green Valley took such great care of me from start to finish. My guide Kesha was amazing and the porters just as exceptional. Not going to sugarcoat the trek as it was the toughest (8) days physically of my life. Take the altitude medication if you’re not accustomed to the altitude. I came directly from sea level and would not have made it without it. Definitely get travel insurance; this is a MUST! I watched a lot of people getting sick and having to get evacuated. I am a single American female +50yrs old and felt 100% safe and taken care of the entire trek. Would recommend Green Valley Trekking over all the other companies I researched and observed on the journey. I did take a helicopter from near EBC to Kathmandu as I am bit older and did not want to get hurt on the way down. Green Valley organized everything. Best experience of my life. If you’re thinking about doing one of these treks; just go do it. Life is too short!
