About Dockside Lodge

Situated on the historic Liverpool/Bootle docklands, our premises is well-placed for access to Liverpool city-centre, both Liverpool FC and Everton FC, The M&S Bank Arena, Aintree Racecourse - the home of the Grand National Steeplechase - and the beautiful beaches at Crosby and Formby. The property houses 20 en-suite bedrooms with the ability to house 1, 2, 3 or 4 individuals per room. The property also contains 3 fully equipped kitchens, all decorated and finished to a high-level of decor. We can house hen and stag parties on our ground floor, which has 6 bedrooms and is separate to the rest of the property.

Very well organised and thought out. Correspondence gave access codes and it was so easy to gain access. Rooms well equipped and clean. Bedding, linen, towels and clothes hangers provided. No shower gel in my bathroom, so luckily I'd taken some with me. Easy access via Bootle Oriel Road Station (Simple 10 mins walk away) which goes to and from Liverpool Central Station in 13 mins. All good. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was nice and bright and a good size for a family room for two nights, beds were comfortable, shower had nice water pressure. The kitchen had more appliances than expected, including microwave, hob and oven, washer and dryer, and even a hair dryer. Wouldn’t want to eat in the windowless kitchen however. Everything could have been cleaner but the most important things - bedding and towels- were fine. WiFi didn’t work, TV was great. If you are sensitive to light, bring a sleep mask. Easy access to city as the train station was within walking distance. Free parking on street. Short drive to Crosby beach. Wouldn’t have felt safe alone but as we were 2 adults plus child it was okay. We got what we paid for and were happy with our choice. Not sure I would return though.

Just what we needed - somewhere to sleep and keep our stuff for the night. In town for the Pink concert, we knew we wouldn't be spending much time in a hotel and this place was great. Basic but very clean with very comfy beds. The kitchen was more than adequate. Parking bang outside the building too. Our stay was quiet. Easy to check in and out with access codes sent to us by email on the day. No complaints and would stay here again.

Location awful. Smell of old takeaway food in the building. Feels like a hostel. Bleak and dark. Bathroom tap soaks your clothes. No hairdryer. No toiletries. We only ended up here as “Fantastic Weekends” company sent us here instead of a city centre hotel.

No complaints about the room at all. Very clean, tidy and cool which was very welcome given the hot weather. Great value for money too

Over by myself for a M&S arena gig and Liverpool hotel price Saturday nights ridiculously high. Needed taxi out there but got a good night's kip at a quarter of the price.

This is our third stay here, we do comic con twice a year and will always use Dockside Lodge. The price is unreal for such a nice place, the beds are so comfy, I get the best nights sleep and it’s just such an easy stay for us. We also love watching sea truck come in and out of dock.

Great location, easy to access even though there’s no staff on site. Really good email and text details to enter the building. Loads of free parking. Nice fully stocked kitchen with all needed utilities 2 fridge freezers, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and tea and coffee. WiFi was easy to access and good quality. TV in the room. Only other thing a would have liked was a small armchair to watch the TV rather than having to sit on the bed.

Price, service and cleanliness was perfect. One problem we had was the connection to the Wi-Fi. We had tried to connect with password and with QR code but it didn’t work.

Had the best stay here! So close to Anfield and the city centre but still nice and quiet. Rooms are lovely and big and have everything you need, having access to a kitchen is amazing. Can't wait to stay again!
