They were able to understand my requirements, understood the options with what to do with my pension pot and provide me with alternatives which they then modelled. Since I had been in a final salary scheme for many years (now closed) I had never expected to be in the position of needing to seek advice, so I was anxious. I felt that the options provided were sensible - no fluff and importantly brough out issues I was not aware of and addressed them. At the end of the process, I feel that I have a sensible solution that will provide me with a retirement income nearer to what I had expected.

I found the hole experience very good, the advisor was very good at explaining all the different options.

Service was friendly and responsive It was a little slow at the start to get a reply from the advisor but when I chased I did get an immediate response from one of the team and a call back soon after from the Pension Advisor who had been recommended to me by a friend I was hoping for some extra advise than I could have got myself but in the end they did the same that I could have done myself but just took the hassle and time consuming work away from me and I suppose some added comfort that it was being handled by those who are experienced in these matters! I was persuaded to open up with another pension company when my intention was to move 3 into one ! I am now thinking I agreed to that too easily as potentially their reason was the relationship or commissions they will get from this other company rather than any benefit to me I have also since found out that it is possible to take more than 25% out of one of my pensions tax free as it was not UK based so again I should have challenged that more ! I am disappointed the advisor did not Persue this more but again I should have pushed ! Not sure I really got value for money although it did take the hassle away from me and the time consuming part but a lot to pay for that. Maybe my small pension pot was too small compared to what they usually deal with to warrant more attention? Kathryn Smith , one of the assistants, was excellent at keeping me informed of the progress after the agreement was made so Thank you for that Overall, I agreed too easily to what they offered , due to my time constraints and I don’t think I got much value from their expertise that I could not have done myself with time availability but they took the hassle of handling this away from me but a high cost to pay for that service !

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. All phone calls were very pleasent and everything was explained clearly. Kept up to date with regular phone calls and e-mails. Would recommend without any hesitation

The advice provided over the phone by Chris Dando and in the final report was straightforward and easy to understand. The pension transfer was dealt with efficiently and met all my expectations at reasonable cost when compared to other IFA's.
