United Kingdom | 12 April 2018Our handyman arrived on time and seems to have done a good job (hard to be sure until it rains again as he was mending a leak). He was polite and very pleasant to deal with. He did have to go and buy materials which added to the time, so if you know what materials are needed I'd suggest buying them in advance. Based on today's visit I would certainly use this service again.

The full name of the person being sent out was given, ( Mr James Townsley). We had a call to let us know that James was a little delayed due to traffic , well before the time he was booked for . He was courteous , friendly and handled the jobs expeditiously , and did a superb job. This company can teach others about customer service .

United Kingdom | 26 March 2018I would highly recommend James, who replaced our shower screen. He went above and beyond to help us and do a really great job and we are happy with the result. My only criticism would be communication from the office, which wasn't great. I'm glad that we kept trying to get hold of them, though, as the job that was done was worth it. Update: a little disappointed to have recommended this company to a relative only for him to be quoted an extra £10 per hour for the labour. I would be very careful on the admin side of things with this company, but am still happy with the work completed and the service of the handyman (James) himself.

United Kingdom | 08 March 2018This was the worst service ever! I never thought it could have been so expensive and difficult to replace a simple socket. Firstly, we had to book 5 times, because they kept forgetting to confirm and the technician did not show up on the agreed date. Then, the ratings given via email were different from the ones told on the telephone. Finally, the technician came on site without the materials needed for the work (socket), and charged us for the time spent to go and procure the socket: 70 mins!

The hourly rate is a bit high but worth it if you want the job done correctly and guaranteed if you want a firm completion date.

United Kingdom | 17 February 2018I had been without hot water and heating for the night and most of the morning on a very cold night in February due to boiler pressure problems - I was able to contact the help desk first thing in the morning and was happy to hold on the line whilst Gabriel speedily arranged a certified gas engineer to attend later that day at a mutually agreed time - Russ arrived on time - fixed the pressure problem and also checked the boiler to ensure that all was well and that the radiators came on and hot water was available - it was wonderful to feel warm again - I will certainly recommend Skilled Handyman Services

Mozambique | 11 February 2018Terrible. They came to fix my light, charged me £90. Did a terrible job and had to call them again to repair mess they had done. This was done but I was then charged £180 twice! I have contacted them to get my money back but have been ignored. Even worse, I am convinced they saw me as an ethnic minority and this gave them the courage to rip me off. I have made complaints to Trading Standards and the Equalities and Human Rights Commission. Look at their answer below. They admint they sent the wrong person, then admit they billed again for the repair to the wrong work done by skilledhandyman #1, then don't even bother explaining why they billed a third time!! Shocking!! I look forward to Trading Standards investigating them. Good to see they consider themselves from the Equality Act too! icing on cake!
