One star is all I can award this company. At the start of the agreed contract 18 months ago even with the difficulties of the pandemic we had regular updates. Sadly this has turned into a disappointing and upsetting experience all while we were grieving . The last communication was in august . Since December 2021 my many requests for an update received the response ‘ I’ll get back to you ‘. Last month I registered my complaint and was told it was hoped they would respond in 7 days . To date I have heard nothing . The service we have experienced is very poor

We had a very difficult transaction to deal with and Stirling made sure at each stage we were protected and looked after. Lauren was always on hand to help move things on through Covid, even when Govt agencies were slow to respond. For our business it was about having solicitors who were honest and straightforward and that's just what we had from Rowberrys. Very happy with our outcome. Richard

A very difficult property sale with numerous challenges and unforeseen lease issues. Stirling is noisy and VERY effective, accessible, clear, decisive and no jargon to confuse. Lauren a great communicator and calming influence Roberto the consummate diplomat and gatekeeper. The team was ever accessible, kept a vigilant and successful watch on all the steps involved with 5 lawyers and delivered the transaction when most would have said ENOUGH. Thank you Rowberry's James

Stirling and his team, in particular Lauren, were very efficient, helpful and considerate managing the transfer of title deeds. Quick responses to emails and kept us regularly updated every step of the way despite a few extra challenges. Highly recommend.

Stirling and his team did a fabulous with my recent buy to let purchase. They revealed and dealt with some unexpected complications,which I was most grateful for.If these had not been picked up,it could have caused me a lot of hassle down the line. Very amiable and professional,highly recommended.

We used Stirling for our first house purchase; we couldn't recommend him and his team enough. They communicated with us well via email and telephone, completing our purchase within 2.5 months of our offer being accepted.

If there were a no star option, that would get my vote. I wish I had looked up Trustpilot before ever engaging with this firm as it appears that my experience is not untypical. Eager to complete a lease extension as swiftly as possible, I drove over to their office to take the papers on the day after I first spoke to them. Like others, I then had six months of follow up phone calls and emails that were ignored. When I finally rang to say that I was using another solicitor, an email finally appeared with an attachment that was supposed to have been sent to me a month before. It had not and I hope that Mr Halliday realises that while you can put any old date on an attachment letter, you cannot backdate emails. Miraculously, since I have made this a formal complaint with the firm, I am getting next day responses. But I remain at a financial loss for the delay to my lease extension and the cost of a second survey as the original one had elapsed. Rowberrys are also still holding my whole file of documentation on the flat. So, I too plan to refer this to the Legal Ombudsman. I'm so glad I never get round to deleting emails as I have full documentation on this sad saga. My new firm incidentally acted within days. I feel very angry and upset at this cavalier treatment from Rowberrys. They have treated me like a fool.

Rowberry’s were left to deal with my step dads small estate and instead of a stress free process after which was of course a hard experience for all of us beneficiaries involved we after 6 long years of grief, have endured so much trauma from this company with them clearly unable to do the job they had promised and are still left with no end in sight. We have been left pleading with them for help doing most the work on our own trying to settle a small estate and left blindsided by this company with no remorse to their actions and extra costs due to their negligence. Please please for the sake of your own health avoid this company.

Please avoid this firm at all costs! Rowberrys were named executors in my fathers estate and administered his estate.. well I say administered.. but we the beneficiaries had to do a chunk of the leg work due to their lack of expertise. My fathers estate has still not been finalised and wound up, Oh, can I add that my father died 6 YEARS AGO!!! The firm oversaw the sale of a foreign property and some UK debts. The property was sold way back in 2017, they received the funds in May 2018 - and they are still sitting on the remaining funds with NO communication, NO updates, no nothing since I last asked them for an update back in June to met with their usual "a new solicitor is taking up the file.. bla bla bla" nonsense. We the beneficiaries had to constantly ask them for updates as months and months would go by with no communication, we ourselves had to oversee and organise the sale of the property as they did not even bother to research the laws and customs in the US. Even after all this hassle, it turned out they were adding thousands and thousands to the estates bill for reading and replying to our emails - they finally gave us some of our inheritance back in 2018 after we ended up getting the legal ombudsman involved when their bill topped an eye watering £19,000.00!! Their description of us from up on their ivory castle was that we were a "nuisance" and "pestered" them - literally all we wanted was for them to do their job! The estate was passed around countless fly by night solicitors in the firm headed by a senior partner that i have been told by trust pilot i cannot name. providing short curt emails occasionally and showing no interest in getting anything finished. We now have resorted to getting the SRA involved in order to get the moneys we are owed as we refuse to have them adding yet more thousands to their bill for reading short emails! Why are they sitting on this money? Avoid avoid avoid. They are dishonest, rude, and negligent. Don't trust them with a penny. *Edit: see below the attitude of the firm in their response which is a great example of their tactics to avoid responsibility and intent to deceive. I was in fact awarded compensation for my contribution to the house sale on their behalf. I may not be a client directly but have had the misfortune to deal with this firm for 6 years. And.. Tax? Did you not check 6 years ago if tax would be due? Did you not check this in 2018 when you got all moneys from the estate? Did you not check it 6 months ago when you told me things were being finalised? Seriously? Happy 6 year anniversary Rowberrys 🥳

Sadly not a good update to my ongoing review! Still not received our house deeds after almost 14 months now! I was informed by Nakita working with Kathryn's replacement that the sellers solicitor had sent the required information and all sent to the Land Registry... Unbelievably when chasing Nakita for an update last week I have discovered Kathryn's replacement and Nakita have now left Rowberrys too!!!! John Hare was most helpful again! The only reason my review is getting one star at present! Most importantly now I am awaiting our house deeds! I am also waiting for an explanation from a competent Partner of this company as to what on earth is going on at Rowberrys! I paid for a service which I am now having to continuously chase up and stress over!

Initially Kathyrn was my conveyancing solicitor for the sale of my house, who left and I wasn't informed which left me feeling most concerned, as emails regarding the sale of my property were still being sent to her. I should have been informed that she had left. The new solicitor Shaz and her assistant Nakita had to pick up the pieces as my sale had a land issue within my boundary. I am very pleased how hard they worked for me to ensure that the sale went through. This has restored trust in Rowberrys. I genuinely feel that I had much better service that was excellent from Shaz and her team. This also gave me restored confidence. Had Shaz been my solicitor at the start, I would have given 5 stars

I would not recommend Rowberrys due to their inaction, poor communication and delayed responses. I have continually chased them for 18 months and still do not have a resolution. I have formally complained and yet there are always excuses. Sadly my next step (on 1st July) is to contact the legal ombudsman. Unacceptable from a professional. Rowberrys - rather than posting your standard response, please take action and resolve the outstanding issue. UPDATE: The fact that it has taken exactly one year for Rowberrys to reply reinforces my comments above. Fortunately, the matter is now closed.

Very Slow, they lie, and ignore your calls and emails. The most unprofessional people i have seen. These people do not know what they are doing. You will loose your sale if you go for conveyancing with them. AVOID!
