My order was 'Cancelled' with the car rental agent and I was not emailed or informed. i checked on their website the day before I left to ensure everything was in order and it said that my booking had been cancelled. I know have to book a car last minute and prices are 25% higher. Avoid this company - unreliable, poor communication and bad customer service.

A caminho dos 4meses de espera, uma autêntica burla ao cliente!!!!

Foi me cobrado pela empresa de aluguer a franquia de 250.00€ telefonei para a Auto europe para saber quais os procedimentos a seguir para ativar o seguro da franquia e assim fiz paguei os 250€ enviei toda a papelada por email fotografias inclusivê e posso dizer que dia 7 de Janeiro de 2020 faz 3 meses e não recebi nada. Ao telefone dizem que não é com eles que vão mandar emails para quem trata disso, não existe nem local nem telefone que se possa falar diretamente com alguém responsável. E assim vão passando os meses. Por acaso tinha o dinheiro para pagar mas agora digo e se a franquia que por acaso eram 1900.00€ tivesse sido cobrada ía fazer um crédito e pagar juros se não tivesse dinheiro para a pagar?!Quando paguei e pago sempre os seguros à Auto Europe. Alugo carros com este site há varios anos e pago seguros ha vários anos quando é a vez deles pagarem algo que sempre paguei para proteger a franquia, não pagam... uma decepção. Mais 11 dias passaram e ainda não me deram o meu dinheiro. Vamos a caminho dos 4 meses à espera do MEU DINHEIRO, uma vergonha considero isto uma burla ao cliente. So falta dizer que a covid infeta as contas bancárias e as transferências. Nunca pensei que uma empresa destas fize se isto a uma cliente que ja alugou dezenas de carros.

Portugal | 30 November 2020I rented a car through Auto Europe in Portugal and unfortunately was involved in a quite bad accident with the car due to a faulty traffic light. I was informed by the rental company, Budget, that since I had Super Cover insurance with Auto Europe, I would have to pay the damages to Budget and get a refund from Auto Europe. I sent all the documentation I had to Auto Europe at the time (didn't have 2 documents that they asked for, however, in the contract, it says they will request any missing documents from the supplier). After two months of not hearing anything about my case through email and only finding out through telephone that they were still waiting on 1 document from the supplier, I finally received an email that my case was rejected on the basis of not having contacted the police, which was simply untrue. I have now read many reviews where people have incurred damages on the car they rented through Auto Europe and had Super Cover, thus thinking that everything would be covered, but to then find out from Auto Europe that they need to have a police report (even for a simple scratch on the car!) to be eligible for a refund. In Portugal, a police report will only be issued in the case there is a dispute between two parties, in this case there was not, thus no report was issued. The problem was that Auto Europe at no moment contacted me to tell me that it was completely necessary to have the police report to continue processing my case. In fact, every time I called, I was only told that a different document (repair bill) was missing from the supplier. Since my case was rejected, I have tried endlessly to contact them with no luck and even getting completely rude customer service representatives telling me they didn't even have anything on my file. The customer service department is horrendous except for a few sympathetic souls who will still tell you they are not "from that department" and "can't really help you" and you just need to wait until someone emails you back. I will never book through Auto Europe again and I do not recommend anyone get their Super Cover which is a total scam - just go for the rental company's insurance!

Portugal | 24 October 2020É uma vergonha nas circunstâncias de pandemia que vivemos atualmente não reembolsarem valores de reservas quando o motivo de cancelamento está relacionado com COVID-19. Recusaram-me o reembolso quando o cancelamento foi efetuado 45 horas antes do levantamento do veículo. Só causam medo e insegurança nas pessoas de viajarem ou fazerem qualquer tipo de reserva.

Austria | 16 October 2020I've used AutoEurope for 5+ times now, and every time things went smoothly. I never had a problem. However, it's also true I've never had an accident with the cars I've used, so I'm yet to find out how their full insurance really works... Their prices are great. I always check competitor search engines, and I'm never able to find better prices. I'll continue to use it for sure.

Portugal | 12 October 2020Very untrustworthy. I made a reservation of 94 euros, and when I got there, they did not allow us to get the service because of a simple thing as change the main driver. Even though they cleary want to take advantage of the clients with this king of policy, the worst part is that they deny any other solution... just sad how a company like this prefers to "steal" from the clients instead of having a honest business. What do they win with this??? just sad...

There is still not a sign outside because they moved to a new locaiton so finding it can be difficult, but if you call 1) they always answer, no automated system..AMAZING for a car rental! 2) i saw the guy go out in the street to find a lost customer!! Above and beyond. I suggest maybe putting balloons or something outside until the signage is up. Thanks!! i'll be back
