United Kingdom | 07 January 2025I ordered a shed with the promise of a 4-6 week delivery time. Nine weeks later, there is still no delivery or confirmation of delivery. Contact over the phone has been poor, with the customer service team hanging up on me. I would strongly avoid this company. I am still awaiting a response regarding my refund.

United Kingdom | 18 April 2020The greenhouse I received had a piece missing, I was unable to reach the company by phone so had to contact them by email. They responded within 2days and assured me they would send a replacement, that hasn’t materialised 10days later and my emails chasing the missing part go unanswered. It has come to the point that it is now too late as the growing season is well underway and I would like a refund. No response on this either. Very very poor customer service.

United Kingdom | 07 April 2019Do NOT use this DISHONEST company. My bulbs in the green took 5 days to come and arrived black and rotting. Have emailed them twice for refund (as promised in their 100% money back guarantee!!!) or to replace order, and 2 weeks later they have still not answered. So it seems I have lost nearly 40 quid. As you can imagine very fed up and considering possible next steps.

United Kingdom | 29 November 2018Autumn planting bulbs ordered in Spring 2018 for delivery in autumn 2018. Bulbs not delivered by mid October. After multiple emails requesting a delivery date they finally replied and said they would investigate and then I heard nothing at all. Luckily I had paid by PayPal so I made a claim and PayPal refunded my purchase cost. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all

They talk a good one and you have been warned, go to Dobies if you want quality not these cowboys

United Kingdom | 09 February 2018Bought a Oh Billy green house off them it came with knot holes , slit roof timber , made of 40 mm sq timer which I can only say is like pallet wood I contacted them by phone and emails they said they would get back to with in 24 hrs in each case which they didn't I am still for a reply from my last one which was 5days a go dont buy off them they rubbish !

GARDEN STORE DIRECT !! should be called GARDEN STORE INDIRECT, there is no excuse for such bad customer service, appalling.

United Kingdom | 17 August 2017I ordered two storage benches. One of them arrived broken - it took a few days to get a reply by email so I had to phone them. They offered to send a replacement, but refused to take away the broken parts, suggesting we "break them up and put them in the bin". The parts measured 1.6 x 1m and are made of hard plastic, so it's impossible to just break them up. It is also a recyclable material, so I refused to just put in to landfill. In the end, I had to pay for a taxi to take me to the recycling centre to get rid of these. So the broken bins cost me an extra £20. The customer service was also very poor, so I can't recommend them.

After 2 weeks of ignored emails I opened a PayPal dispute and received a reply almost instantly with a weak excuse blaming the courier and a promise to chase it up(despite having already asked for a refund by this point). Another week passes, no response to any messages, no refund and no package. Quite clearly a bunch of incompetent scammers. Glad I used PayPal and a credit card so will definitely receive my refund eventually but AVOID at all costs...

I've never left a Trustpilot review before but I felt compelled to on this occasion to warn people of the problems they may encounter. I placed my original order successfully via Amazon for a BillyOh 4 seater garden furniture set. However, despite my credit card being debited and receiving emails to confirm my order and even to issue me with a delivery date, a week later I was informed that the item was in actual fact out of stock! I called Garden Centre Direct and was promised a call back which never came. So I had to cancel my order with Amazon and request a refund. I then searched online and found the item on BillyOh's website - or so I thought. The furniture was in stock and even £10 cheaper! I decided to ring and double check and I was told it was definitely available and so I placed the order over the phone. But when my email confirmation came, it was from a totally 'different' company called Garden Buildings Direct with the same address as Garden Centre Direct!!! I received an email confirmation and even a delivery slot for Tuesday. However, on Tuesday morning, I received a voicemail to say the delivery was unavoidably delayed until Thursday. How could an order that had been apparently loaded on to the delivery van been delayed by two days? I was told they could GUARANTEE delivery for Thursday and I asked a manager to call me back that day with reassurance. Nobody called and today I receive a text message to tell me parts of the furniture have been delayed but then an email to say delivery is now for the 9th?!?!! I have never known anything like this - I have been misled and lied to on several occasions and it was totally unnecessary. I would never have placed the order if I had been told from the start that it wasn't available. I needed the furniture urgently for my daughter's 1st birthday garden party and now I am back to square one but I will NEVER deal with this company/companies and I advise you not to either.

I ordered a playhouse for my daughters birthday on the 10th of April (website states 3 days delivery) I got email confirmation stating delivery would be the 21st which wasn't a problem as it was not her birthday until the26th so still had time to build it. It came to 6.30pm on the 21st and I had still not received the delivery so called to make sure it was still coming to which I was told yes they can deliver late but it would definitely still be delivered, it never turned up! The following morning I called to find out what happened and was told they had sacked the driver the previous day so they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. I explained this was not good enough as I needed it for my daughters birthday and had ordered in plenty of time to which I was told sorry but there's nothing we can do! So after a few tears I explained to my daughter that her present would be a little bit late and it would now be coming today (so I booked another day of work) I called them yesterday to confirm and they said yes it will definitely be there and to call again today for an eta which I did at 9am to be told the driver had left and I was drop 6 so it would be late morning, not a problem. Then 10.30 am I receive a phone call to say the driver has called in sick it was not out for delivery and they couldn't deliver until Friday now!! I have now cancelled my order and ordered elsewhere to be delivered this Thursday, I just wish I had done this when they let me down on the 21st as then I would not of had to let my daughter down at all instead of having to do it twice!!! The customer service is terrible I would never dream of ever giving this company my hard earned money again!!!

I think that the suppliers had changed their delivery agent. I should add that last time the after-sales service of replacement parts was first rate.
