Denmark | 05 October 2021I'm very disappointed and absolutely appalled by the recent experience I have had with Kalkan Secrets, specifically Fiona Ellis. My husband and I booked an apartment, before Covid, in Kalkan. This holiday was scheduled for September 2021. My husband very suddenly passed away in April, so as you can imagine our holiday in September, to a country on the red list, wasn't exactly a top priority of mine. Fiona called me in the summer to inform me that the holiday had now been postponed to the same time next year, which of course I will now not wish to go on without my husband. She has refused to refund my money, and not only that, she did it in the rudest and most unsympathetic way I have ever been spoken to. Firstly she addressed me like I was a child when I told her I had no emails from her, and she curtly told me they are in my junk folder (like I am supposed to just know that). She then accusingly told me that I should have sorted this holiday out months ago (as I clearly had nothing more important to handle this year). This company offers zero flexibility, so if you do use them, I hope that there are no unforeseen circumstances occurring between booking and travelling.
