A story of Due Diligence It’s over whelming when a loved one dies, even more so when you have to sell their property-and it’s a mess. Carpet, paint, repairs an endless list. I saw ads for getting a quick cash advance for this purpose- and was advised to do my Due Diligence on terms and costs. So I found 3 companies with good ratings, armed with questions I made calls. The first guy was awesome. John answered all of my questions, his rates seemed good and I was impressed with his knowledge. I wrote everything down, told him about my Due Diligence plan and said I’d call him if he was better than the others. I called the 2nd number, no one answered so I left a message. I got a call back the next day. Their plan was way more expensive and over-all I didn’t get a good vibe. The 3rd call was the kicker. The guy seemed super helpful, knowledgeable and he was cheaper and promised he could get the job done in just hours. He was a really good salesman. Yeah huh. So I picked him. A Due Diligence Fail. Almost 2 weeks later and still nothing, then he just quit calling. No money was paid upfront so all I lost was time and confidence in my judgment. I called back John at Probate Advance -they were my first call and explained my avoidable sad story. John said no problem he’ll get it done- and Poof, days later cash in hand! The agreement said if I paid it back within a year they’d refund another portion-(this was something all 3 companies offered) so I paid it off and Poof, a few days later, cash in hand.
