Had a full MOT lane installed by Gemco, Sam arranged the whole thing and was on site multiple occasions overseeing the various stages then helped us with the application to DVSA. Once installed we had a few teething problems but again Sam came to the rescue and with the aid of Ash in customer services all issues were resolved. As with any new build problems and obstacles will always arise but Sam and Ash sorted it all. The engineers are all excellent at their work particularly Chris who sorts the emissions side,,

Hi please please I will give you advice about this company for people who have a garage or are opening a new one up especially regarding MOT stations I advise you STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY they rip you off customer service is appalling they are so rude to people once they have your money they ignore you. DO NOT USE THEM!

If you’re going to drive like a idiot, atleast don’t do it in a sign written van. Indicators aren’t used, just moves over and nearly hits you and multiple other vehicles . MJ20 VHH

We have been constantly let down by this company but alas they have the monopoly on calibrations for out gas and smoke machines. Despite booking and paying months in advance they fail to turn up on the agreed dates and no one seems to give a monkey when you call them. Here we are again with a machine that will not allow testing just three weeks after another late calibration. An engineer cannot attend for over a week leaving us unable to carry out our core business. Avoid having anything to do with this terrible company

I strongly recommend avoiding this service and have advised others to do the same. They supplied a defective ramp, which has caused ongoing issues. Each time an engineer is sent out, they take the ramp out of service and the business faces months of delays due to parts being unavailable. Despite numerous official complaints, resolutions are incredibly slow. The Essex area manager promised to visit and address the problem but never showed up. The company is quick to blame the customer, claiming, "It has been determined that the ongoing issues with the pulley covers, pulleys, pins, switches, and cables are not due to manufacturing defects, as suggested by the customer. Instead, the damage is occurring during the loading/unloading of vehicles onto the lift." This reasoning is questionable given that there is only one way to load and unload vehicles, which suggests the product is not fit for purpose. These issues have persisted for years and, judging by other reviews, appear to be a common problem. As a single-ramp MOT station, the impact on our operations has been substantial.

Very bad service. They convinced us to buy a Bradbury ramp from them, promising that should anything ever go wrong, they would be out within 48 hours to fix. We called them first to come out and conduct the annual lift inspection. They could not come out and we had to wait for 4 months for them to conduct the inspection. Ramp broke down eventually and we needed them to come out and fix it...3 months later and we are still waiting for someone to even return our calls. Their service is absolutely rubbish once you have purchased the equipment

Now a full week has passed since refund was promised and nothing from them! I guess it is really a scam, and have to take it to relevant authorities now…. ——————————————————- Yet an other day past, three days since promised refund to be processed immediately, yet only more delays and BS! They really want to get all negative reviews to be removed, at all costs! A bunch of bullies as it seems…. ———————————(original post below) They have quoted me for a lift and I have paid immediately! Two weeks later, tell me that no stock, wait for an other three weeks, when I was told originally stock at hand available! An other couple of weeks, now they ask for payment, that has been done to that was originally supplied, only now asking to a different bank! Scammers all around! Be aware!!!!!!! Subsequent to my first note above, I have been told that they didn’t send an account reminder, and request for a payment again! If that is true, they system is compromised and customer data had leaked to people with malicious intent , yet company didn’t warn anyone! I have also been told that refund is processed, yet beyond more ‘talks’ and deflecting, like keep asking for bank details to refund to, nothing has been send back! Also been told aggressively, that they are a multi million turnover business and they have no time for me with a single lift order….. Sad to see such behaviour and lack of respect to clients. Also, let not forget, they were not aware of this site till I have send the screenshots, and now busy fighting to get my notes removed, instead of resolve the issues and restore customer satisfaction!

Rubbish company Great ramp and I’m so glad they use contractors to fit them, they are the worst company out there for garage equipment and back up service rubbish, phoned to book service and they wanted £200 up front before they would even consider booking it in. My advice is avoid at all costs

Had a very lovely chap called Michael in today. Re calibrating mot emissions machine, absolutely first class service from Michael ( travelled from London) took the time to explain everything and answered all questions with no problems. Absolute gentleman of a man and a great credit to your company

Brought a ramp of this company, then when it breaks they exspect you to wait 8 weeks for some to come and look at it. Absolutely useless

We could not get hold of the Gemco rep for 6 mths, leasing signed and waiting (ran out eventually), he contacted us once we decide to change equipment supplier. After a short rude conversation, we've been informed he has no time and hung up on us! With such customer service good luck with business in Scotland!

I would never buy a ramp from this company again. Sales and customer service is shocking. Our ramp was condemned by the insurance company within 2 months of fitting due to a leaking ram and control buttons had worn. We are on our 3rd set of buttons. We are awaiting a 3rd set of pads. 1 set badly made not welded properly. 2nd set lasted a month. Gave part numbers for new set 3 weeks later wrong set sent. This thing has been nothing but trouble since it was put in. Badly made badly designed cheap crap. Bump stops do not prevent damage to customer vehicles i was told by the sales staff that its fine the customer won't see it. Couldn't lift a Panda,Astra,Audi and many more due to issues with the arms. They blamed my mechanic with 25 years' experience saying he was not putting them on properly. months later they figured out that the ramp has adjustment, bearing in mind that their training ramp is the same as ours. I could be here all day listing the problems we have encountered over the last 12 months AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Company never turns up. no comunication. waited 3 months for parts that werent even needed. Had new ramp - broken longer then working! Tyre changer Bradbury broken. Bought with 2 year warranty. Not returning contact to repair. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. USELESS.

After using this company for a number of years I have finally had enough, they have consistently delivered bad service supported by the fact they can keep staff! We have been let down on our MOT calibrations and have had to stop testing at one of the busiest times of the year, only to be told eventually after several calls all one way that there staff in my area ( south west ) have left without notice and now cannot calibrate out equipment! Absolutely appalling without so much as a sorry… If you are smart AVOID THIS SHOWER OF S..T and use a company that offer value for money and good service.

I needed to get one of the columns replaced on my 4 post lift, it took 2 months to get a quote after chasing several times - which i gave the go ahead straight away. I then got a call to say they one in stock the whole time but in a different colour, to which i said would be fine as it would speed things up. I then waited a 3 weeks before i decided to chase it up by email but got no response, another week went by and i called them and was told it was a 2 man job, they confirmed my phone number and said they would call back with a date , another 2 weeks went by and i had to call them again, this time i was told that the job couldn't be done as it required 2 men. Over 3 months wasted on this company, i will be cancelling our service contract with this awful company and suggest that everyone else should do the same.

(BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ) I ordered a Bradbury tyre machine from Gemco in April '22. It arrived promptly, although damaged, scuff marks, bent arms and damaged trim. The courier was made aware at time of receipt as was Gemco. Dingbro's were also informed of damages and sent pictures who passed it onto Gemco. After many calls between Gemco, Dingbro's and myself the only offer Gemco were willing to provide was to have the machine repaired by their own technician. In addition, they were also going to provide a consumable package with an additional 6 months warranty. However, this would be for parts only and I would have to front all other costs, again this would have to be with their own authorised technician. Dingbro's kept in touch with me throughout, negotiating for a more suitable outcome. An alternative solution was offered for a new machine but only if I organised and payed for the carriage. I found Gemco's customer service to be appalling and their unwillingness to simply replace the machine which was damaged on arrival. If they truly believed that their technician could repair the machine to a new standard then they would not have refused to agree to the extra warranty on parts and labour.
