Well ….. what can I say ….? We’ve had our multifuel stove since June and have tried various log combinations but these are definitely the BEST logs we have had…! They burn easily and hot but they are so long lasting it is unbelievable. From a cost effective point of view I think these are a no brainer and we now wouldn’t use anyone else . If you are hesitating about taking the plunge with Walkers Logs I’d recommend trying them - I am confident that you won’t regret it 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻

Unfortunately, I can’t say that my experience has been as glowing as the other reviews. Now I want to be really fair, and the first thing I want to say is that Walkers logs did try and resolve my situation by offering to collect the logs and refund me, but having spent a couple of hours creating space for the logs in the first place, and then a couple of hours stacking, including inside my property, the benefits of this and having to move the logs again just wasn’t worth the time, especially in a household with an 8 week old baby in a cold snap moving logs from inside to outside, my time is better spent elsewhere at the moment, so I declined this offer, but wanted to review so people are aware of how they operate. The website states a local delivery single load is 1.6m3, so most rational people would expect somewhere around 1.6m3 of logs to be delivered. What Walkers don’t tell you, is that’s actually the loose load volume, and in reality, I received just under 1m3 of logs once stacked. NOWHERE on the website, including the product pages, FAQ’s, T’s & C’s, anywhere, mention that the volume you’re paying for is significantly lower than expected. Walkers need to be clearer on this, as you’re actually getting 35% less volume of logs than advertised, which really doesn’t seem on. Now, whether I got a duff load is another question, as they state you will receive circa 450 logs, again, being fair, a bit of tolerance here and there is to be expected, but I received circa 380 logs, 15% short of where I should have been. If you look at their bagged logs, I’m somewhere between 4-6 bags of logs short, that’s a good few evenings worth of fires I’m missing out on! Another thing they don’t mention is wastage. I received as part of my delivery a barrow and half load full of offcuts, pretty much good for kindling and not much else. I’m buying logs at a premium price, not kindling, and certainly didn’t expect there to be so much, when I’d already been short changed in the volume I’d received already. I would expect some, that’s the nature of wood, but such a high volume was a surprise, especially when the website section on offcuts mentions “If, however, you were cutting 9” logs out of the same 98” tree trunk, you will get 10 x 9” logs and an 8” offcut.” my offcuts are not 8”, they are anywhere from 2” to 4” offcuts, again, not exactly what is advertised. My first conversation with Walkers was met with the response of “oh, well that’s what it is and it’s within tolerance so you have received what is expected, but that does seem low based on what you've said”. I question that response and was told that could I send over some photos of what I’ve received, which I did, including measurements of the areas the logs were stacked to prove volume, and with fair calculation of a rough total of logs received. They advised they would send CCTV of the loaded truck to prove the load, I didn’t get this, but it would be interesting to compare my home CCTV of the truck arriving to see if it matches! This is when the offer of collection and refund was offered, which I declined for the reasons already mentioned above. There has been no other offer of resolution, no offer to supply the missing logs, nothing, which I find suprising. Had Walkers clearly stated all of the above on their website, I maybe would not have purchased, maybe would have expected to receive less, but that been the case, would of most likely ordered from another supplier. The product listing isn’t a representation of what you’re going to be getting, and in my opinion borders on false advertisement and is clearly misleading customers as to what they’re going to receive. The logs seem good quality, but I won’t be ordering from Walkers again, or recommending them due to what I feel is something being sold that isn’t what is advertised. I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned this before, or is it just by chance I measured the space I was putting the logs into so knew what the volume would be. I’m giving 2 stars, because the logs are good quality, and Walkers have tried (but in my opinion not satisfactorily) to rectify the situation, but I should have received more than I have, less tiny offcuts and it has left me quite a disappointed customer.
