United States | 10 February 2021I write for a living and depend on the reviews of my work, so I pondered carefully before submitting this. It just seemed necessary. I hired The Writing Crew to edit a manuscript because they had glowing reviews for ghost writing, and I thought good writers would have good editors. However, after three attempts at receiving a completed edit, I was shocked at the results. Admittedly, there were a few, very few, good recommendations. However, I had to deal with: Improper and inconsistent capitalization; Confused changes in syntax; Misplaced insertions; Conflicts in changed context; Space insertions; Improper punctuation; Nonsensical word replacements; Missed punctuation mistakes, and Other minor mistakes and omissions. Additionally, I was constantly harassed by someone who called himself "Kevin" in broken English to sell me additional services. While I was trying to obtain my edit, Kevin annoyed me constantly and sent me a proposal that was so poorly written that I passed it along to associates for a laugh. He then gave me a ridiculous price for his offer and cut it in half twice before I cut him off. I have since hired my usual editor and my book is currently in publication. The Writing Crew's contract included a guarantee of refund if the client is not satisfied. For the first time in my life, I requested a refund. So far, no one has responded despite repeated requests. So, if you are looking for ghostwriting services, this might might be a good resource. For other services, unless you want incompetence, insults, snake oil marketing, and refusal to honor a contract, avoid this clown show.
