United Kingdom | 17 April 2024They set up a pretend play station in Bournemouth for my son’s birthday and every kid played!!! Both the young toddlers and the older kids played! I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommend them! We only used the construction area but it had so many things!!!!!

United Kingdom | 19 March 2024This is only a review for the Oxfordshire group. Firstly like others have said, it wasn’t much more than what a normal £2 baby toddler play group would give you. And actually the £2 play sessions for this area actually offers more than the pop up play village. I was expecting something different to a baby toddler group at that sort of price. On top of this, we arrived only with the person in charge to totally ignore us and not even try and welcome us…..there were only about 5-6 families in a decent large space. Enough to avoid someone if needed. We arrived 5mins late with another family. The person in charge went straight to them and had a chat, totally ignoring us. I went up to the table they were chatting at hoping she’d make conversation but nothing. Ten minutes in, I thought she was walking over to say hi, only for her to walk straight past me to the mums behind me….I never felt more unwelcomed in my life! I don’t know if it’s because we were an Asian family and the rest were white English. The person in charge at one point even gave me eye contact but nothing. It was a very clicky group I’m afraid. Which happens I understand but at least try and pretend to be welcoming. I felt so uncomfortable, we left after 10minutes.

United Kingdom | 05 March 2024This was a great activity for my son's 4th birthday party. The children all loved the building blocks and wheelbarrows and made a massive tower together. Katie was very friendly and efficient and everyone had a lovely time.

United Kingdom | 15 February 2024I regularly take my daughter to Pop Up Play sessions in Plymouth, run by the lovely Jackie. We love the sessions - my daughter enjoys exploring all the areas and especially loves the arts and crafts section - Jackie always provides a fantastic range of resources for the children to engage with. The sessions are brilliant and offer a wide variety of stimulation for imaginative play.

United Kingdom | 13 February 2024As a private nanny I am always looking for fun and exciting things to do with my charges. I came across the pop up village in Chester and decided to give it a try. WOW just WOW! What a lovely welcoming fun session this is! My little charge was enthralled in dressing up and let’s pretend, there’s so much to see, do and explore and it kept us both engaged in activities and having the best time! This has firmly become our favourite class!

United Kingdom | 23 October 2023Katie made our birthday party fantastic! The play areas were great and the children (and adults) had a brilliant time. Katie was very accommodating to our needs throughout, from time of booking ongoing until after the party had finished. Communication was very good and Katie was lovely to deal with and great with the children too. Thank you Katie - would definitely recommend.

United Kingdom | 17 October 2022I hired Pop Up Play Village Portsmouth for my Daughter's 5th birthday. Jeanette and Becky were fantastic from the initial email through to the end of the event and went out of their way right from the start to accommodate us. The toys in each play area are clean and laid out perfectly and they both engage with all of the kids throughout the whole event. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

United Kingdom | 25 October 2021We booked the Pop Up Play Village Basingstoke for a 3rd birthday party, and it was a great success! The kids loved all the play areas and activities, and the team were a great help with the planning, setup and running of the party - they really made hosting 15+ toddlers very easy and enjoyable! Would highly recommend.

United Kingdom | 23 November 2018Overpriced! I attended the Goring Dinosaur session today with two children under 5yrs. The concept is great, however £9 for an hour and a quarter at what basically is a playgroup is extortionate! Really sad to see the use of lots and lots of plastic ear buds for the craft activity, when we are trying to limit our plastic use, and educate our children to look after the environment more. The website states that there is free tea and coffee for adults too, but this is not the case. Won’t attend again, and won’t be recommending.

United Kingdom | 07 August 2018Great fun for both my daughters ages 3 and 2. Would do again and recommend to others!

United Kingdom | 06 August 2018My son enjoyed this but it wasn’t what I was expecting. It was essentially a playgroup with nice toys grouped into type. I was expecting a bit more of a ‘village’. Therefore I thought it was very expensive for that, I would expect to pay a lot less or at least get a free cup of tea and a biscuit!

United Kingdom | 04 August 2018Average age at the Amersham event we went to was about 2 so my 5 year old didn't really enjoy it.

United Kingdom | 02 August 2018Great indoor toys but outdoor activities need more thought.

United Kingdom | 09 July 2018My 2 year old really enjoyed her morning at the Peppa Pig Pop Up. There was a wide variety of toys to keep her occupied.

Unbridled
United Kingdom | 07 July 2018Although my daughter seemed to enjoy her play time, I felt that it wasn’t quite as I expected, for the price. On the plus side, the husband and wife team were friendly and welcoming. The toys were lovely; great quality and condition, and placed in themes. There was a cafe, Peppa Pig toy area, construction site, vet surgery, baby doll nursery, outdoor area and an art table. This sounds a lot - however the venue was small, and there wasn’t enough room to fully make use of some of the toys, such as wheelbarrows and pushchairs. With the construction tools you might expect workbenches, but there were only foam bricks. The art table was colouring in sheets and pens. I felt that the session was too short - it was only an hour until rhyme time, and we would have liked to play a little longer. I didn’t realise until reading the website that we could also have made some artwork to take away with us. I didn’t feel able to briefly leave my daughter to grab a drink at any point as the doors were open and venue small enough for a very fast escape! Babies were left on the floor very close to all the other toys, and I was concerned that my energetic (and quite tall for her age) one year old would accidentally hurt them! By the time we were leaving, I would have liked to get a drink and snack to take with us, but it had already been packed away. I think the premise is nice, but it doesn’t quite deliver in its current format. I can go to toddler groups that provide quality toys and other activities at a low price, with refreshments included. Maybe I would have felt differently at another venue?
