Overall, my experience has been good. Make sure you get your measurements right. My second order doesn't fit exactly the same as the first, but I'd still consider re-ordering.

The team at OwnOnly - led by Alice - completely redeemed themselves after a very rocky experience I had with them when ordering suits for my wedding. Pros: Excellent quality suit. Modern fit, material is strong, made with great quality. Frankly, perhaps the most quality suit I own. Great value given price and quality. Cons: Discrepancies between images online and actual color that comes in. Average customer service at best - no telephone number, time difference between factory in China and US. Only communication is via email. At first glance, OwnOnly is too good to be true: a fully custom suit for ~$300-400 USD? In many ways, it is. There were a lot of headaches in my experience with OwnOnly but Alice did a great job in making up for their mistakes throughout the process. Here's the short version: I would recommend OwnOnly for a wedding party that is organized. If you get your orders in SEVERAL (10-12 weeks) in advance, I trust you'll have a pleasant experience. I began the ordering process for my wedding (10/27) around mid August. We ordered the blue business suit with the light tan buttons. The color was excellent - unique, light grey/blue color. The buttons that arrived on my suit, however, were traffic-cone orange. Alice promptly sent us all new buttons free of charge but we needed to go to a tailor and pay for these adjustments. As for the suit fit, mine was no good. OwnOnly did not provide a refund for the buttons - but they gave me with a $35 (+/-) tailoring refund. Despite my tailoring costs being about $240, I appreciated the efforts on OwnOnly's behalf. The rest of my groomsmen's suits, however, fit like gloves! I strongly encourage any and all to take their time, watch the videos that they provide, and measure 2x during the process. The button color and my fit wasn't the only issue. My last groomsman ordered his the week after Labor Day which came in on time. Unfortunately, one of my groomsmen (who ordered his prior to Labor Day) did not receive his suit on time. Explain that to me! Alice said "for some reason, the suit was not completed in time but we will do our best to get it to you for your wedding".. not acceptable to my wife. It arrived the Monday following my wedding. OwnOnly made this right by providing me with an option of a 50% reimbursement to the card on file or a 100% refund to OwnOnly. I was able to get another suit with that money, which was much appreciated. All in all, I would recommend OwnOnly for any and all looking for a very quality suit that they do not need for 6-10 weeks or longer.

I bought it for my husband and it arrived in just over 3 weeks. I am very pleased with the results. Quality material and construction. Fit was spot on. Only two adjustments were required: sleeves needed shortening and seat needed to be let out. Ownonly customer service was great with email communication and I was reimbursed my local tailor's costs for adjustments

I would like to thank OWNONLY.com for the great suit that they customize for my 18 year old son for his high school prom night. I am very appreciate it of the great quality in material and color, especially the stripes on the suit came out beautiful. There's no other suit better than that one customized for my 18 year old son. I appreciate the skill and craftsmanship of the workers of creating this wonderful suit for my son. With my future husband's unusual build, it was an extreme challenge to find a quality suit that fit him well without extreme alterations. I decided to try ordering online from OWNONLY and provided his measurements as instructed in the video. The suit arrived within a few short weeks and exceeded our expectations! The material is fine quality, the stiching and details were perfect. The only issue was the pants were cut thin as the tailor didn't see our request for straight leg, vs slim cut. We contacted customer service and they rushed him a new pair of pants, with expedited processing even through the holidays when they are usually closed, and expedited shipping to make sure we would have them before the wedding. The new pants arrived with a few days to spare and fit perfectly. The suit far exceeded our expectations and my husband looked amazing for our wedding. Angie in customer service was excellent and quickly resolved our questions. I will definately order again!I

I had an excellent experience with OWNONLY from start to finish. The suit customization and sizing was enjoyable and easy to do. Customer service went above and beyond to satisfy me! I ordered two suits for my husband on this website for our friend's wedding.It's also my first time having this kind of shopping experience and I'm very satisfied.I just saw the reviews here seems like a lot of people got some measuring problems.Just follow their guidance and make sure you measured right.Very good experience if I need more suits I'll buy from you again.

I ordered a 2 piece navy suit for my Fiance' and it turned into a nightmare. From the very beginning, the communications were very bizarre. There were no standard confirmation emails and you pay through a separate system. When the suit came in, it was packed in a beautiful box...opened it and the disaster began. My Fiance' is not a big guy, his size is standard(6'2" 180lbs). Disclaimer:The suit description didn't say slim cut anywhere on the description, and I measured based on their sizing guide. In fact, we ordered his wedding tux the weekend before from another company and we used the same measurements from a professional tailor. The suit WOULD NOT EVEN GO OVER HIS THIGHS. It was child sized. The suit jacket and pants were Navy, and they lined it in opaque white. You could see the cuts in the back of the jacket through the liner. The pants wouldn't even go past his knees and the jacket was skin tight. The pants were see through when you held the pants up in the air. They were unlined. Remember these measurements came from a professional tailor the week before. I reached out to support, they emailed me back and kept asking me to re-measure. When i followed their instructions, they told me it was user error and i failed to order the correct size and i needed to go to a local tailor. I got no refund, I have a $417 child sized navy suit now with my fiance's initials in it. Avoid this sketchball company.

Quality is good however they just make the shirt however they see fit. Shirts came with a neck size 2.5 inches more than I had asked for. I was directed to reorder and repay. I will not use them again.

We ordered suits for my husband and his 3 groomsmen for our wedding. Everything was easy from the ordering/measuring to quick delivery. I have read that people had issues with fit. The only thing that was wrong was 1 suit had sleeves that were too short. It was likely an error in the measurements. The suits looked great and if my husband needs a suit in the future, we will order again.

I purchased a charcoal grey, 3 piece suit from OwnOnly. I was measured at the Tuxedo shop at my local Macy's. OwnOnly proceeded to muck things up and here's how: I received the suit which was a nice quality but everything except the vest was EXTREMELY too small. In addition to that, the "peak" lapel on the jacket was a lot smaller than advertised on the site. I immediately emailed OwnOnly and informed them on my displeasure and asked how they planned to rectify the situation. They said I would have to pay $300 for a new jacket and pants BUT I ALREADY PAID $550 FOR THE SUIT! I said that was ridiculous and they said that was the only way since the clothes were too small and couldn't be altered. I asked what kind of guarantee I would have that the "tailor" would get it right the second time and they replied with, "Our tailor is skillful". I said I wanted a refund cause they didn't get hardly anything right the first time and I wasn't about to blindly give away more of my hard earned money. OwnOnly quickly told me that wouldn't be possible because my suit was "made to fit" and nobody else would be able to wear the suit. Here's my problem with that: 1. That's not my problem! 2. You can't make clothes whatever size you want and sell it to customers, then not take refunds because you're under the premise of "made to measure". 3. What about customer service?! I even told them I would ship back the suit on my own dime (TO CHINA) in exchange for a new one and they refused. This is the WORST online shopping experience I've ever had. I was recommended by my bank to contact the BBB and I'm currently awaiting a response from the BBB about the issue. STAY AWAY FROM OWNONLY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Good experience with their shirts. Bought six so far. Good fit. Timely. I do the extra customization. I might further tweak my size as my preferences have matured and I know better what is possible, I will likely stop buying from the Dept store rack altogether. Can't get rack clothing to fit my shoulders and my waist; if the rack shirt fits my shoulders, the waist is too big. I will try Ownonly suits next; probably their least expensive blue suits.

I ordered one shirt. The fit was so bad I could not wear it. The tailors comments were so off the mark that I knew a remake was a waste of time and money. They insisted on a redo before they would refund. I told them exactly what was wrong with the cut and my comments were ignored.

Ownonly's custom store was very user friendly and I had a great time designing my shits. I also had great communication customer service and they answered all my questions completely. The best part is their free shipping. I got my order two days earlier than I expected and I was really happy about that. The quality of the product exceeded my expectations.

This was my recent experience with OWNONLY: I ordered two suits from their website in March 2015 and paid via Paypal. THE GOOD: The suits arrived within three weeks and were packaged nicely. THE NOT SO GOOD: (1) The suits fit horribly. Somehow they managed to produce a made-to-measure suit that would not even fit me. (In contrast with off-the-rack suits from [external references] that fit me without alterations). I don't know how they could have designed my suits so poorly; my body dimensions are a very average 44R. Instead, the OWNONLY suit jackets fit like a pillow-case around my waist and the shoulders were so wide that they bunched up and looked foolish. The pants were so tight around the hips and upper thighs that I couldn't even sit down. Were my measurements wrong? No. My fiancee and I followed their videos and painstakingly conducted three sets of measurements to make absolutely sure my order would be right. I even gave them EXTRA measurements to give them a better idea of my physique. (2) I contacted OWNONLY customer service within days of receiving the suits to let them know of the problems. They insisted that I "first" take the suits to a local tailor for alterations, and they promised to reimburse me $79 per suit with proof of receipt. I complied and incurred $190 in alterations. The suits were designed so poorly that my tailor's alterations could not remedy the defects. I produced my receipts and informed OWNONLY of the continuing problem. They REFUSED to reimburse me the $158 they had promised for alterations. They insisted that they would instead remake the suits. Why would I let them remake suits that were so defectively designed, especially after they just induced me spend an extra $190 for no purpose? (4) They disavowed the warranty terms that are written all over their site. First, they failed to reimburse the alterations. Secondly, they insisted on remaking the suits instead of giving me a refund. In contrast, their satisfaction guarantee stated they would refund alterations and that the suits could be returned for a full refund. (5) Their customer service is the worst I have encountered. I had to email their customer service multiple times in attempts to persuade them to honor their express warranties. Instead, they were evasive and uncooperative. They responded as though they had no legal obligation to honor their website guarantees. It was unreal. Fortunately, I have a legal education and I suggested that the transaction would result in litigation. THEN they finally authorized the return and provided me with a returns address in NYC. I sent the suits to them at my own expense and two days ago (4/14/15) I finally received a refund of my purchase price. SUMMARY: My experience with OWNONLY was irritating, time-consuming, and expensive. In case you were keeping track, I still have not been reimbursed the promised $158 for the suit alterations. So, the $190 I spent to alter THEIR suits (plus the shipping costs to return them) was what it cost me to TRY their defective suits under their satisfaction guarantee.

I received the Brown Jacquard Winter Blazer about three weeks after ordering, which was impressive considering the Chinese New Year celebrations in February. This was my second blazer from OwnOnly. The fit on the first blazer was very close, and required only minor alterations that OwnOnly promptly reimbursed me for. Had my local tailor not been able to make the alterations, OwnOnly offered to make arrangements for a remake or return. After a few minor adjustments to my measurement profile, which had input from their tailors (sending them pictures helps), this second blazer arrived with a perfect fit. I am very satisfied with the price, quality of construction and fabric, control over customization, and the incredible customer service throughout the process. I would recommend OwnOnly to anyone, particularly if you are as tall as I am and have difficulty finding off-the-rack blazers in your size. With a bit of patience for getting measurements zeroed in (experiences can vary in this regard), the payoff is substantial. You also get some of the extras that OwnOnly throws in, like the fantastic wooden hangers and brushes. I definitely intend to fill my closet with more OwnOnly blazers and suits in the future.
