United Kingdom | 11 February 2025I am extremely disappointed with the services provided by Vision Express. I had to visit the store five times, only to be treated poorly by the shop manager for expressing dissatisfaction with my glasses. I was advised to get progressive lenses, which were supposed to allow me to read with the lower part, see my screen with the middle section, and view distant objects with the upper part. However, when I first received the glasses, I could only read by looking through a very small portion at the bottom (about 1 cm), which was highly straining for my eyes. I had to move my head left and right for every row I read, making it impractical for reading a book or study sessions. After multiple failed attempts to correct the issue, the reading segment was finally improved. However, I still had to move my head left and right just to read an email on my laptop. Despite upgrading from basic progressive lenses to the top-tier option, which should have had a much wider intermediate zone, the issue persisted. I was then recommended occupational lenses, a compromise I was willing to accept for better clarity when reading and using my laptop at least. However, upon collecting my new glasses, I realised they had not been modified. The shop manager had already decided they were unwilling to continue adjusting my glasses and simply offered a reimbursement. When I returned to explain that the lenses had not improved, the shop manager greeted me with a noticeably annoyed and rude attitude. When I pointed out that I did not understand or appreciate such behaviour - especially considering the significant amount of my time they had wasted, requiring me to take time off work multiple times - she claimed her frustration stemmed from being unable to resolve my issue. However, it was evident that she had simply lost patience and no longer cared whether they retained me as a customer. I would like to acknowledge that the rest of the staff were extremely kind and willing to help, but the manager’s attitude was consistently hostile and rude. I am extremely disappointed therefore I struggle to give a constructive review. I believe a better assessment of the customers' needs and making sure you do the absolute best to offer a pair a glasses that can fit the purpose would be greatly appreciated. Not the mistakes are the issue, therefore the attitude of the management could be more helpful and solution oriented.

From speaking on the phone to going into the store, Lewis is personable, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Massive 'Thankyou to him', he couldn't do enough for me. A lovely asset for the Store.

United Kingdom | 02 November 2024I went to Vision Express at Tesco (Stairfoot, Barnsley). Initially it was a good experience. I got a text to advise my glasses were ready. However there has been an error inputting the information so the glasses were wrong. I was asked to leave them and they would resolve the issue. Again I received a text to say the replacement glasses were ready. The reading glasses were fine. However, the sunglasses were a completely different frame, which I had not chosen. I was made to feel like this was my fault. So now I have to wait again and again return to the store for a third time in the hope that this time all will be resolved. It should not take 3 attempted to get an order right.

United Kingdom | 28 June 2024After 6 months of having no sight glasses. Being told I have cataracts and because of their incompetence. They done lenses wrong and I have got my sight aids on order. I have very low vision now, as going blind. I have had an eye test at a specialist opticians and got told right eye going blind left one very little vision left. The a staff are rude do not give refunds. They will redo your lenses but do them wrong. I have had to pay £370 more out for sight glasses for a little while. I can't have cataracts op not worth it and because of not having sight glasses list out on a holiday month after their incompetence if faulty goods. Be aware they are like a back street opticians and keep your name in your records and invite you for a eye test. The date is now 21/09/24, but this started to happen happen on the date if this date of experience. Vision express uses many excuses on phone to you blame their staff or management or if they don't blame each other they blame the lab. But it's the optromitist, staff, and lab at fault.

I ended up forgetting my other perscription glasses and rang into the store who posted them out and I received them the following day! Life savers thank you again for your exceptional service!!

Recording every patient information on the software makes it easy to access that data whenever required, unlike paper records. Managing appointments and sending appointment reminders is a good feature for better patient care.

United Kingdom | 16 January 2022Burton on Trent. I bought children's glasses for my son approximately 8 months ago. I had the anti glare finish added to the lenses and paid £60. Unfortunately my sons glasses broke and needed a new frame. I was told they didn't stock the frame anymore and I would have to buy another frame plus if I wanted the anti glare lenses I would have to pay again because the lenses would be a different shape. The biggest issue is that if the frames were in stock then they would be a free replacement. The frames I can kinda understand but not the anti glare. Not impressed.

Optometrist was great, and the lady who helped us choose glasses was great. But the lady who gave me the proscription glass on the 20th September was quite rude and loud. My wife and me were quite shocked with her behaviour. We checked her name plate, and it says Merium I think. My ref -30973.127 Dispense ref-127-0093087 Sorry, I have to give only two stars

I explained the issue I was having and Holly listened without interrupting and then quickly and efficiently explored options to solve the issue. We agreed a solution which was excellent.
