We had speech therapy for our son who is 5, Isabel Dixon was absolutely fantastic, she made the session’s fun by breaking the time up with learning and okay. Leyton loved the games at the end and didn’t even realise he was still learning/practicing his sounds. Can’t thank Isabel enough, he’s come on leaps and bounds xx

Debi was very professional. She listened to us and we felt she understood the issues and offered the right help. We went videos of our child speaking and communicating and this was a very good approach as it addresses some of the issues that come with online sessions. We could capture good number of samples for the reference of speech therapist. I would recommend this service for sure.

As new parents of a bilingual child, we were worried about her speech development. Thanks to Debi's great practical advice we started to work on how we communicate and interact with her more efficiently. She made us aware of many common mistakes parents in our situation make, and thanks to this we were able to consciously avoid them. Our daughter is now fluent and confident (in both languages), happy to express her opinions on every occasion! We will certainly apply Debi's advice to our second child.

Our SALT Debi was so patient and knowledgable on ways to support our Son. She provided a lot of useful insight on ways to improve his speech and they certainly worked as long as you keep practicing the techniques discussed.

I contacted SmartSpeech back in February as our nearly 3 year old is still not talking. We were facing long waits with NHS SALT and we were concerned with our sons speech and also frustrating behavior due to not being able to communicate. Since having weekly programmes with Lowri we have found a massive improvement with our little ones behavior more than speech but as Lowri advised, the foundations of communicating need to be in place before the actual communication. Now we are able to understand his needs and wants and whilst his speech isn't 100% there the behaviors and motions are in place and we're confident that the speech will be here in no time. Isabel at SmartSpeech worked wonders with our 4 year old daughter and her delayed speech sounds. The sessions were well structured, very child friendly and gave us a clear understanding of what to focus on between sessions. Even over a Zoom setting Isabel managed to develop an extremely good rapport with our daughter and she always looked forward to her speech therapy sessions! Our main concern to begin with was she wouldn't be understood when starting primary school however her speech has came on leaps and bounds since March when our sessions started and nursery staff, family members and friends are constantly commenting on the significant improvement over the last few months! We used Smart Speech to help our 7 year old son with his “S” sound and it was fantastic! Debi was lovely and made the sessions fun and engaging, so much so that our son still regularly asks if he can see Debi again. He learned through play so it didn’t feel like learning and progress was so quick and noticeable from week to week that he only needed 3 sessions to achieve what we hadn’t managed in years of trying with him up to that point.
